I respectfully disagree with your apex corner comment, his bars I front of yours, its the smoothes line, necessary or not. As the person overtaking its on you to do it safely, doesn't always workout but sense your high HR had you lash out than reflect 😊
@2:23 Nah fam, you are so far behind him you have no claim to be given a gap, you can't complain about being cut off. You need to be further alongside before the corner my guy. He is wide so he can be tight and fast on exit speed and move up the left, but you being there cost him that as he had to correct.
right, he was in front so he can do what he wants and i put myself in a compromising position, but he made an unpredictable move that wasn't the race line being taken by everyone else. In any case, wanted to get ahead of it ASAP
The field sizes are too big. They should shorten the races and have several heats, with less riders per heat. That would make for better racing, from a spectator's POV and for the riders.
aero over weight when its FLAT like brookfield is. and honestly most aero bikes now are pretty dam light as well so its not a compromise. the only thing id take into account for any of the chicagoland crits is wheel choice. something like brookfield with a lot of slower speed corners and hard accelerations youd maybe be better off with a 45mm deep wheel over a 60 just because theres less weight to accelerate. rotational weight is more of a concern then static and the larger diameter even more so
you talking about ~6:50? which is him literally following the guy in front of him (guy currently leading the overall at intelli at this point) for a draft? everyone, literally everyone, would be doing the exact same thing there
With bikes costing what they do and travel, time off work to train and then race ; t looks like a logical solution to invest as a non-accredited Investor with low fess to get in to IPO's and RE investments. When I broke my collarbone this past February and couldn't take any days off from my pool cleaning business it would have been nice to have a side income stream.
Jeff taking us to school on a crisp fall morning. Thanks bro!

agreed. dont do the cat 4 dive up the inside then just clog it up
That is not how racing works lol you cant ride/drive like a spaghetti noodle on a racetrack.
@@NoNameGiven-dw3cu It's the racing line, not an unpredictable swerve. He just expected the guy to jump out of the way of the divebomb.
As hard as this course was, it ripped so much. It was a blast.
brookfield was my first crit race ever. novice race was first of the day and it had just stopped raining.
Loving these vids Jeff 👊
My brother and sister-in-law live right on this course. I didn't realize you were racing the series at the time. I'll have to say hello next time.

unnecessarily deep dive for the apex isn't 'smooth' riding.
agree
12:40 😮
Jeff, excellent video!!! brother, what software do you use to add telemetry (BPM and Power)?
When you find yourself so far from the front, do you back off a little, to save yourself for the next day?

No bullshit in Chitown, homie.
Wow!! So what tire size you use?
Jeff, what is your max pulse?
Serious question, are these guys doping?
shorter courses favor lighter bikes?

Was Luke Lamperti not the us champ?
theres two nat champs races. a pro and an "amateur/elites" luke is 1 monk is the other
If Corey Williams would spend more time riding straight instead of left to right I'd swear he'd go faster.
He does it so he doesn't appear as fast. Gotta hide that EPO somehow!

@@chriswitek9455 Shush all that logic. This thread is for haters.
Jeff, you dive the inside line contantly....
What happened to EJ? Did I miss something?
yes they parted ways. EJ is not with jeff anymore
Theres a vid on EJs channel about it but its not worth watching lol
@@NoNameGiven-dw3cu I didn't know that, just found his channel, Thanks.
What the hell does Fundrise have to do with cycling? If you are gonna do sponsored ads then at least stick with a relevant cycling product.
