Met him when I was a kid in Chicago. He waited patiently as I looked for a pen and paper at a nearby church and graciously chatted with me for a bit. Glad we’re seeing more of him. Now that was a truly gracious fan encounter.
One of the rare celebrity fallouts where said celebrity took a long, hard look internally and made the necessary changes. A stark juxtaposition to Spacey's recent interviews where the remorse feels false. Michael has clearly done the inner work.
Thanks Jake. Great interview as always. Handled perfectly. Have rewatched the show countless tomes since the 90s and Kramer remains the most consistent of the characters over the 9 seasons. Never gets old.
Great honesty from Mr. Richards... so interesting that Cosmo is how most people recall his acting.. whenever I watched Seinfeld, I only saw him as this crazy "kid" lighting army men and dolls on fire!!!! FRIDAYS!
First of all I love Michael Richards and his love of the craft He's much more talented than anyone really knows and the fact that he's honest about what it's just a small mistake and everyone needs to get over it. Also this interviewer this is the first time I've seen you but you are an amazing interview buy one of the best I've seen well done
Fantastic interview! Love him, proud of him. 🙏 Jake, you're an outstanding interviewer! 👏 🌟 Btw, you're hair looks so great! Perfect! Thanks for all of these! 🙂
Based on what I’ve read so far, I like the book and look forward to finishing it. I also like the title of the book. I always loved Michael’s character in Seinfeld. I hope you write more books!
Great actor and remarkable person. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone. He made a mistake, paid the price and took time to find out where that came from. Family and great friends support him. I see much negative and hateful comments. Everyone had opinions. God bless you Michael. Stay strong and let life move you forward my brotha.
I think when everything happened back in ‘06 it was pretty clear that he wasn’t a true racist, he was just someone whose feelings were hurt and he exploded in the moment and went for the most hurtful / obvious thing that he could - something he knew would hurt the other person’s feelings as much as they had hurt his. It doesn’t justify it, but it was pretty obvious what was really going on there and he was truly one of the first victims of what we now know as cancel culture. Glad he looked inward and did the work and is accepting responsibility for his actions but isn’t letting it prevent him from moving forward either.
I saw his stand up act shortly before the major incident. It really wasn't good - I don't blame the heckling at all! I wonder how rich and famous he was why he tried the most unforgiving medium to build the next phase of his career.
Sad that he threw away 17 years over “thoughts” about what occurred. He should have apologized and made amends and went right back out there. So, he did some alleged work on himself? So, he’ll die a more adjusted human? Please!
I just watched your “why I become a filmmaker”. Literally your only purpose is race. If you make race your purpose it ain’t gonna lead to any valuable art. And you don’t understand Michael Richard’s 2006 rant had nothing to do with race it had to do with hate which you’re as guilty of as the rest of us.

What a lovely story! Thank you for sharing. Im happy you had that.

It's so rare indeed to see actual growth

Let it go, Jerry.
You're full of it.

Michael Richards has been forgiven for a bad moment that almost every human being has had in their life. He has redeemed himself.
Based on what I’ve read so far, I like the book and look forward to finishing it. I also like the title of the book.
I always loved Michael’s character in Seinfeld.

One of the best interviews ever.

That was a SOLID interview!
The best character ever
I'd like to have the book. Jerry's latest too. ''Is this Anything?''. Greets from Bucharest.

He needs to be in movies
Top Tier Talent🎉👌🌞
He's got beautiful eyes.
Oh my god it’s Kramer
Haha! This is ‘Merica! He doesn’t need forgiveness, he doesn’t need to do “internal work,” he’s perfectly in line with this country’s philosophy.🤓
Why did you say "We'll talk soon" at the end? I found it disingenuous
Sweet. Howdy fellas!

He's been too hard on himself.
Nah, this not ok Jake. Bro got canceled before cancel culture was even a thing. He needs to stay gone 😂
Shut ur mouth 👄
He was proven innocent, relax.
He said something he shouldn’t have said 18 years ago. Let it go.

Forgiveness is important and necessary. Dont stay ignorant.
