    Only 2 albums Shane. They split around 2007 much to the displeasure of many. They set the standard for tech death and then went and disappeared unfortunately.

      Also, on the drummer, 2nd album I think was recorded with a full band but don't quote me on that... However at some point Marco Minneman was actually their drummer. He's an absolute legend of the drumming world. Technically ridiculous.
      Anyway thanks for doing that one. I shall throw some other requests your way at some point. Keep up the good shizzle

      They technically played a few shows until 2010. I hope one day Muhammad decides to release what was completed of theor 3rd album

      Yea, they did a bunch of sporadic reunion tours and were attempting to record a third album after a long hiatus but I think they announced the permanent break up of the band in 2013 or so. Regardless they are all technical geniuses at their respective instruments.

    Necrophagist is classic. To be honest this is my least favorite song on the album but it's still cool. By the way, I saw them live years back and the band is just as crazy technical live. And no, the drums aren't programmed, they're real.

    I met Necro when I was 16 in Augusta,GA. I actually did a report for my music appreciation class on them and getting to hang out w and talk to Muhammed for like an hour after the show helped. Lol. Awesome group of musicians and they shaped my musical development at an early age. I play guitar for Abductor from Augusta, GA.

    They and Arsis played Burt's years and years ago. My jaw dropped and stayed there while watching both drummers. They're inhuman. Sick, technical, Melodeath!

      I saw Necrophagist live, twice. It was genuinely hard to start moshing because everyone was busy staring, slack-jawed, at the musicianship.

    Wilko, thanks for bringing the request in. Very technical indeed, the music was fast and furious. The vocals not my fav style, but I appreciate the work of the band. Got my heart rate up!

    • @wilko6679
      @wilko6679 2 года назад +2

      Yeah death vocals aren't for everyone. But the technicality and crazy time signatures is made even more impressive knowing that the vocalist is playing those riffs at the same time!

    Outstanding number Mr Diablo..Easy to see where acts like Archspire got their comeuppance. The drummer is Romain Goulon and is indeed real. Search "Necrophagist Drumming" and 3 minutes of in-studio percussive nobility awaits. Including an excerpt from Stabwound.

    And today class on Cooking with Shane we learn about Offal...
    Offal, also called variety meats, pluck or organ meats, is the organs of a butchered animal. The word does not refer to a particular list of edible organs, which varies by culture and region, but usually excludes muscle. Offal may also refer to the by-products of milled grains, such as corn or wheat.
    And End scene...Fade out
