Aahhh galway, my favourite city in Ireland. Its like a big town with a few little villages connected around the edges.used to live their for a while. lived about 500 yards from salthill prom mentioned in the song.loved every minute. A quarter of the population are students. Live only about 60 miles from where the video was shot. The origanal song was written and sung by Steve Earl👍

A little historical fact about galway is, it was the last stop for Christopher columbus before he headed in your general direction 👍
You will have to come over to the Fleadh Ceoil. Mullingar Co Westmeath has been named as the host town for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann (Irish Music Festival) in August, 2022. The Fleadh is the biggest event on the Irish music and cultural calendar and attracts hundreds of thousands of people each August, with up to a quarter of visitors coming from overseas.

Great reaction. It`s pronounced = Mun dee and Sharr on- Shah non. You pronounced Shannon perfectly to be fair. Mundy comes from Birr County Offaly, just 15 mins drive from where I live. His other famous song is = ``July``.
I hear Galway is a must see when visiting Ireland. Fun song for sure.
@@CanadianReacts Galway is a huge tourist attraction for sure as is Kerry, But every county in Ireland has some part of it with lovely scenery and cool establishments for entertainment. Also every country has it`s own unique accent. We are a friendly lot and love when people praise us and our country, haha.
