Tim, hello, it’s been a while since I spoke to you on the phone. I have the Zongshen 625 cc gas engine in the 2004 EZGO TXT. It was backfiring and stalling on me. You suggested the carb issue was possible as you were not familiar with that engine. Good Call! I found out the guy who I bought it from enlarged the jet in carburetor and it was getting way too much fuel and float was sticking open. I purchased a new fuel pump and carburetor as a new jet was very costly as well. Problem solved that is again and sorry it took so long to get back to you as I promised. (Medical issues took a toll on me.) Thanks again.
