I imagine that Alex makes these reviews with his pinky up while sipping wine
I've run the simulations, and this is 100% accurate
🧐 undoubtedly..!
In his study, next to a fireplace with a bear rug.
And Mittens on his lap
I can only see Alex as Lady Dimitrescu now
angry joe has "Angry Reviews"
alex has "Gentle Reviews"
@@ivofixzone6410 yeah I wonder how he's doing. He was good at video games
I imagine the soothing voice of Alex calms the beast within Angry Joe, lol.

I like how Alex is a better games journalist than all of the ign journalist 😂
Anything is better than IGN

Probably because he plays videogames, weird right?
I feel like angry joe is a pretty reputable brand and company, up there with any of the legacy companies at this point so I don’t see why this is funny and not just expected
Ign dont play games they literally steal other peoples reviews word for word.
Alex is just so much better when Joe is not interrupting him every 5 seconds.
Joe is trying to better himself tho. Can't demand more than that.
Must Agree with You Vyn. )))
Yeah I watched joe for years like ten the anger part sometimes seams forced or to much. Like outriders it was pretty good but he went to town a bit much.
It is Joe's show...
YEEEEEEEP
Alex's Reviews should be called "Sensible" reviews
Alex destroys bio mutant with facts and logic.
No it's should stay what it is, this is what a real "review" is
Alex is too hard on movies and too easy on games haha
@@ecargfosreya its their first game though so atleast give them a chance, their's always updates that could fix the game allot, I agree with you but you should support smaller developers especially if its their first game, no gaming developers have ever released a perfect game they only get better at what they do and make good games
@@alucard-jy8wh no I was just joking around. I actually had a really high hopes for the game. Now I'll probably just sit back for a while like with cyberpunk and see what they do with it first before I buy it myself.
more like "Beside the Fire review", sounds like alex is reading this near a fireplace with a mug of hot cocoa and smoking a pipe...jokes aside, nice review
That would be brilliant. "Fire side review" then do an Angry Joe spin on the fireplace and high scale, classy book readings. May take a bit more production time and cost but I truly believe it would be worth it and a huge success.
No cocoa, RUM!
Alex’s reviews are top notch. Between his voice and detailed opinions he’s got it down to a science.
Best reviewer on the channel, hands down!
He's got Deeze Nuts down to a science.....Gobble Gobble!
Audio levels on his mic could be optimized but still really good work
@@JoseMolina-jz9hh Personally, I prefer where it’s at because his voice comes across as soft and easy to listen to.
His voice is the worst part, he needs to speak up.
I love the Reviews Alex makes, no shouting no rage, just calmly discussing the game with us!
But then why is this channel called AngryJoe? Plenty of other calm reviews. I’m disappointed
@@jeremymason8081 you are right! But a little bit of difference is nice to see on the channel.
I like it when Joe rages out. I also like it when Alex goes full "ACG" reviews as well.
The whole point of the ANGRY Joe Show is to shout and rage about games that screw customers over. Why come this channel if you don't want that? 😒 The nice thing about Alex's reviews, however, is that he's able to speak without Joe always cutting him off or talking over him.
@@szabobence8111 I would be inclined to agree if he still reviewed video games often but he doesn’t do many anymore
Despite the game’s short comings I congratulate the developers for their hard work and can’t wait for what they’ll work on next
They do have the talent but I feel they tried making a game to big for them
That's a very nice thing to say.
I hope it failed
@@evoltblackhole8677 why would you say that?
The price feels too high for the game. It’s not AAA, so don’t price it like it is
Alex’s reviews are getting so thorough and detailed it’s great, genuine games journalism, superb. He’s a great contrast with AJ and OJ, the perfect balance
Very true, but the gamepass comment tho..... He needs to catch his mistakes before it's uploaded.
Yes they are/ he is.
Sounds like Patrick Bateman talking through his video gaming experience

Now I hear it lol.
Very nice, let's see Paul Allen's review
I want Alex to review Huey Lewis and the news now lol
Alex: *Makes a 14 minute detailed review and explains everything about the game and what he liked and disliked in understandable terms.*
Ign: "Hey guys! I've never played video games before but I've been asked to make a review! Anyway I thought the fluffy animals were cute and the game was cute and I had fun! 9/10!"
I mean. That's still a review?
Damn Alex I swear you gotta read a bedtime story for all of us so we can sleep better

Time to relax and listen to the soothing sounds of Alex's voice.
Alex ASMR reviews
Alex is literally the king of chill.
Which make the noisy adverts that cut in so much more startling. It is very relaxed and considered sounding.
I feel like Alex should get his own intro music, though. That heavy metal song with a minigun blasting over it just isn't his style.
.. I'm thinking Luigi Boccherini's _Minuetto,_ perhaps?
I like that Alex moved from being a sideshow to being the most fundamental reviewer of the team
I wish they took an extra year to make the combat deeper.
Refined combat and the world needs some density.
I agree. I hope they take whats wrong and make a good sequel out of it. Cuz its still good and charming
Game needed a lot more than just better combat.
@@Nidhoggrr the game was fine for what it was.
Combat is actually kind of deep, but it's not balenced nor does it have any weight to it. If every build was usable and it felt a bit better it would be top notch.
Hey, this game is NOT included in the Xbox Gamepass. Just wanted to clear that up for anyone wondering.
My opinion: little disappointed with the outcome of this game
Yeah because they gave it a Triple A Label with 60$
If it would be 30$ or below it would be a great game
My opinion: Wasn't really hyped for the game since I found out about it 1 week before released and I'm hugely disappointed with the outcome of this game.
ur not alone lol. miissed the mark on alot of things. but devs are patching it as we speak.
Very disappointed
I think for £45 is well worth it
Stellar job, Alex. What an example of review this is. Masterful.
Alex looking into the camera during the movement parts pierces my soul.

Huh? Are you OJ?
His faces during the review were the best part lol
I actually really enjoyed this review being a little longer, I feel like the rapid fire reviews sometimes don't cover things adequately (I know they have to be fast) and that extra couple of minutes makes the overall review so much smoother and more enjoyable. Alex did a great job talking about what needed to be discussed, while staying on topic the entire time.
Rapid reviews are a must-watch for me now because Alex does them!
Delrith did a fine job too. Both have a soothing, insightful view in my opinion.

Great review and please keep up the nice work on these RFR.
The best reviews are Alex's. He actually explains and breaks down the things that were fun/not fun for him.
Great job again!
He literally forgot the name of the game a few times in this review. Calling it biohazard a few times lol. You are also being a bit more easy on this game than I would have been
I think he said biohazard puzzles, he didnt say the game was called biohazard
@@Thorvik1111 what were biohazard puzzles though what would he be talking about if that's the case? There's only one "puzzle" in the game that was repeated 10,000 times and that was the one where you line up the colors by spinning things. There was no variety, it was literally just that
I noticed that he said biohazard too. In this case I think it’s an
Honest mistake.
I think he was pretty accurate. I haven't beat it..it's just meh. Not a bad game..far from it. Just nothiing amazing. I think 5/10 is kind of like actually. Would give it a 6 to 7
It look boring tbh..2 out of 10

If you hated the sh**show that is Outriders, then this is like going to a spa and getting a massage.
It’s that chilled.
I tried to get on Outriders for 4 days in a row now and it does not let me even start up the game. I click A to start and the loading bar resets and tells me to Click A to start AGAIN and AGAIN. So i just ended up deleting it. Bravo square
I really hated outsiders. Couldn’t get past the first hour without dozing off.
It's just as bad if not worse than outriders

Better yet, after you got betrayed and scammed over Cybertrash, playing Biomutant is definitely one of the good remedy to heal the wound.

I got it for $30 and can’t complain…until it crashed and corrupted my save. After some patches and a bit of time I’ll start again cuz it was fun enough
I think this is the only pre-order I haven't regretted since RDR2 and Fallen Order.
NGL, when I first got the game I lasted 40 mins bc the dialog and battery of information you receive right away IS frustrating. BUT a week later I was bored and loaded it up again...next thing I new I was level 12 and it was bed time.
It's true, they could've made the first hour of play much less ... abrasive? At the end of the day it's a great game I have a hard time putting down for long
It seems like this game can be described with one word, "present." Everything in the game is kinda like, yeah that feature exists but that's as far as it goes.
Mate my two handed legendary sword with fire damage was the bomb. Over 1000 in power so can't complain
Sucks that y’all never reviewed Metro Exodus.
That franchise is already awesome and unique in their own ways. No need for reviews. We know majority of FPS gamers love that game.
yeah i was wondering why, they reviewed the first one. exodus was great
@@rumuelnathanael8043 that game was a broken buggy mess. I loved 2033 so when I got it I was excited as fuck. Problem is that on release it had crashes, ai glitching out in every single fight, prompts for stealth takedowns stopped showing up just like in last light and it cannot be fixed unless you start a new playthrough. Story was a mess and anticlimactic, Anna and her father are the some of the most dumb annoying characters in gaming with atrocious voice acting. Open world aspect completely ruins the ranger difficulty, it turns the game into a slog, having to stealth through every single mutant encounter, and there is a lot of them, because there is no incentive to kill them, it is just a waste of ammo and health. Only good things are shooting, graphics and sidequests.
They did review it.
@@nenadmilovanovic5271 Now that's is your opinion.
I'm going to re-watch this review while trying to go to sleep. Alex's voice is soothing to the core!
Alex is a legit reviewer and continuous to grow on me. A seriously great addition to the AJ Show. Thank you for the review mate, straight to the point and very informative.
I got it on sale for $20 and honestly I would have payed $60 i like it the open world is fun and its not extremely easy I died a few times in combat 1 12 is fun with all the spells and I personally like the weapon combat tho I do understand that combo spamming is really the only way to do decent damage but the combos are basic easy to remember but you only get like one or two combos leaves a lot to be desired in that department but i am enjoying the game so far put perhaps 2 hours in just running around exploring taking over tribes thats one thing I do like is the tribe system if you know any games with a similar system lmk cause I like the game loop
"I don't need every choice in this game to be Sophie's choice" Alex snuck that one in well.
I didn't get that reference... I thought of the Bioshock morality system. "Save a child?" "Kill a child?" o_O
I love how critical this guy is he gives you a fair but honest review of how he feels about a gaming experience
8:51 "Then you have what it takes to master all of the puzzles of Biohazard"
Dogging on Biohazard puzzles from the Biomutant review 😂
The angry Joe team has a wealth of talent at its disposal. You've got:
AJ- the very analytical and precise reviewer
OJ- the oscar award deserving actor and comedian
Del- the overachieving, explore every nook and cranny, game completionist
Alex- the jack of all trades
I rarely buy triple A games at full price anymore that haven't been reviewed by these passionate gamers. Good job ya'll...
This feels like a game that is going to be constantly updated for some time, so I check into after a year or so.
Thats not okay
@Kenneth Bone hello games manage to salvage no man sky... so who know

@@alessandroseverino8222 No Man's Sky had the core gameplay right, it merely lacked content

@@Cantthinkofname-rp3iw If the game doesn't get better after let's say 2 years and doesn't have a price drop then I won't get it. Being patient sometimes does pay off and I am willing to wait to see how much they patch it up. Video games are developed through patches even if we don't like that.
Not to demeanor Joe´s work, but I think Alex is way better reviewer. And its actually nice to hear his opinions on games without joe interrupting him every 4 seconds going like "Yeah I agree, yeah thats right cuz my opinion is...bla bla bla". Its so fuckin annoying its like he wants his opinion to be heard every damn minute. Why Joe asks OJ and Alex for their opinions on games/movies if he doesnt actually want to hear them?
I'm one of the people who absolutely loves this game. It has some flaws being a AA title but it's so much fun and is oozing with charm. They just put out a patch on PC and are about to bring it to consoles that address some of the issues people are having like too much superfluous dialogue, the ability to completely turn off the narrator(who I happen to really like) and the animal talk, improving the viability of melee(which I happen to love the melee combat), and more.
5??? A score of five? It should get at least a 7 for the original ideas this game has sprinkled throughout. And i love the narrator, anyone who likes to listen to david attenboroughs commentary will like it too. I used to love angry joe for honest reviews but a five is waaaay too low.
Yeah. I really like how Alex handles reviews and doesn't just say "It's fun YAYAYAYA!". You can tell Joe even noticing that he needs to do better at explaining things. Which I think it's a win for everyone :D
Luckily If you choose mage class, it’ll make the game more fun believe me, but I never wanted to play it again. I wanted to do an evil new game plus but I felt that I just wanted to finish Biomutant already. It gave me stress that the game was long and repetitive. Levitate power made me finish the game, it reminded me a lot of infamous so I pushed through with that and also what happens if I get a full Light ending.
Bought it for $45 which I feel like would've been a better price for the game. But it was money well spent
Same here. Got it on greenman for $42 and I'd say that's fair
I don’t know if they updated the enemies or something, but in my Playthrough there was literally enemies everywhere I went which Almost drove me nuts sometimes when I’m just trying to do one mission I would get bombarded
I got worried when I saw it was a Rapid Fire instead of an Angry review.
(Edit: I know it being RFR doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s just because it was such a hyped up game)
True, I really wanted OJ to dress up as a little furry guy
@@Spleenzorio haha
Yeah, not good. RFRs need not always be a bad thing, but a title with this much anticipation? Uh oh
Simply is not a Angry review since AJ isen't really in rpg. Not a surprise is a rapidfire, tho since is Alex making em... Are more than welcome (peaceful, soothing, not too quick nor too long and WELL detailed)
@@SalinaBabba8343

Mark Brown's recent video from GMTK also points out the importance of placing the tutorials at the right time instead of all at the beginning.
I'm enjoying this game. It's one of the few games I can play after work and just enjoy myself and the pace. Perfect wind down. And it reminds me of the N64 days where you just sit down and play.
I like the narrator, if you dont then turn him off, it should not be a part of the review. I swear, so called youtube experts are the main reason I choose a game by what I like instead of their bullshit 3 hour playthrough garbage. Play this game, it is so good.
There was an 8 star electric gun i found that straight up annihilated my enemies. Nothing else i found even came close.

it will probably hit gamepass sooner than expected.

This is a better review from a big channel than the others I've seen.
I rolled credits after 41 hours and I enjoyed my time with Biomutant. The zen exploration and side quests were fun and I actually didn't mind the melee combat. The Jagni staff is fun to use because it adds a lot of mobility. BUT twin pistols just shred. The world was charming and had a lot of atmosphere. I took so many screen shots while playing. The game also did a good job of keeping me busy. Often Id set off on a quest, only to be side tracked by a quest along the way, or a small town or building to scavenge through. I loved finding vaults and looking for gear. The narrator grew on me to and i got a genuine ö snap!"when i found out who it was.
BUT I do recognize that the rough edges would put some people off. BUT if you power through it, there's a fun time to be had. It reminds me of some of the European games that I play, like Stalker or Pathologic, as in, it has a lot of concepts all clumped into one big mess that you might have to get through to have a good time.
Love alex reviews, his dry humor actually cracks me tf up. Really upset this game wasnt better, I was so looking forward to it, even if just for something a little different.

Don't worry they are releasing many patches to fix the issues but no consoles patches yet.
Alex did an outstanding job breaking down the pros and cons. Also really enjoyed the way he structured his presentation.
It's nice to listen to Alex without Joe interrupting him
I'm very much a "zen" casual gamer, so the somewhat simple combat and being able to just explore and wander the world without mobs spawning around every corner is really nice and relaxing. I don't know if I would have liked this game as much as I do if the pandemic didn't happen and made me stressed out of my brain most days. It's a nice game to fall back on and play when the world is getting to be a bit much for me and I want something simple.
I did have to mute the voices in the game to really enjoy it though. I loved Light and Dark's dialogue, but the narrator felt like my dad telling 5 year old me a story rather than it being a narration of a post apocalyptic and rather dire situation.
The combat has its faults, but I personally love it. Melee especially. I mostly use powers to add something a little extra or open a fight with, but generally I'll stick to melee and use ranged for particularly big baddies.
The only boss I genuinely did not enjoy was the aquatic boss because it felt like the mechanics of the vehicle you get weren't really designed for his fighting style. All the other ones I felt were fun and interesting. They weren't particularly hard by the end, but I had a lot of fun with them still. I liked seeing the animations, the different abilities these things had, and what figuring out how the vehicle I was on worked.
Overall, while it wasn't necessarily what I expected, it was definitely what I needed with all that's going on in the world lately.
Was hoping pretty high for this one, atleast it won't take my eyes off my bible study
I picture him sitting next to a fireplace in a fancy robe reading the narration to me.
Not gonna lie, I was put off after i saw the price of this game.
Too much money
Alex is such a great addition to the AJS. He's less bombastic than Joe (not to say I don't love Joe!) and provides a very analytical perspective I can appreciate. Not better, just different. Keep it up!
