I had a kitten like this. I built her a narrow cardboard tunnel to crawl through. She would get her legs under her and the side of the tunnel would keep her upright. She crawled through it until her legs strengthened. She ended up being healthy and normal.
I don't think I've ever seen a cat with this syndrome. What an adorable face she has. Wonder what causes swimmers syndrome.must be a congenital problem.

It’s amazing how invested animals can become in their friendships. Melody blossomed both athletically and socially once she had a friend. Animals have such beautiful, pure souls. They continually amaze me-even my own spoiled, naughty snugglepuss.
A highly focused consistent caregiver and not too many other people and animals to distract attention will usually get this response I think. Has for me throughout my life, anyway. Both dogs and cats also had super calm loving interactions with people/animals too. I believe from having a little anxiety , always acknowledged life. They did develop some anxiety/ depression when I was not there..did not happen that was the case often. Usually came with me or had a visitor. My anxiety was worry about them😊💕
I noticed how it got much better as soon as she had rugs to run on, instead of slippery floor. I know nothing about swimmer’s legs except all the Dodo videos featuring it, but I’m always amazed that they often seem to start trining them on slippery floors instead of rugs. I guess there’s some science to that?!
Melody is one adorable little spit fire!! I have seen swimmer syndrome in puppies before, but never in a kitten. it usually involves their back legs, not their front legs.
I have been an animal lover my whole life and obviously as I’ve gotten older it’s gotten worse. When I watch videos like this and I see there are good people in this world that are willing to help animals instead of just kill them, it brings tears to my eyes and restores my faith a little bit in humanity.
