So you need to tell me I can’t use power armor without advance training but a goddamn Samurai from the freaking 14th century knows how to use it?
If you do the Anchorage Alaska quest you automatically are able to use heavy armor.

Yes its BS I suggest doing operation anchorage which will allow you to wear power armour without having to progress the main story. Been playing fallout 3 for years and ive always done operation anchorage first for that exact reason
I find ot hysterical that people whine and moan about the lack of PA training in Fallout 4, yet they gloss over the fact that a samurai from the 14th century can use it without training, raiders in the wastelsnd can use it without training, and in Fallout NV, there's an unmarked location called Deathclaw Promontory, where you find two dead prospectors wearing PA.

you can also find a lot of normal power armor and weapons in the cargo hold section of the ship
Yeah like alien suit and alien pilot helmet, captains suit, alien medic armour and suit, alien pistol and rifle as well as the normal atomizer and disintegrator, alien mind controller and elemental weapons

This game came out in 2008 and I'm still trying to find all of the unique armor and weapons....this is what makes any fallout game fun

i bought the fallout 3 g.o.t.y. a few years ago for a nice price on a flea market and unfortunately the only add-on i haven't played before -mothership zeta- didn't worked and was always leading to a system crash if you went to the ufo crash site.if there are 5 add-ons on the game,they should all work, not just 4.i would be pretty pissed if i had bought it to the full prize on release.If a manufacturer produces only scrap instead of quality,he doesn't have to be surprised if he goes bankrupt.

This was a long,tiring but amazing dlc. And I thought I was thorough about looting. How wrong I was.
The Splintered Cell i’m on it rn, reloaded a previous save to get the items. I have put so many hours into this damn dlc it saddens me a little.
When I played this section of the game, I did fairly well with most of the weapons but entirely missed the commander's coat in the trash area. As some have said if I had the time would be fun to make a new character to go back and try to find everything. :)

Rule of thumb in Bethesda games: Explore every nook and cranny.
There's a Chinese commando hat in the cryo labs if you look in a room to let out ghouls and raiders there is a control panel if you look behind you there's another control panel unlock it and in the room there is the hat ( not in good condition its halfway to being broken )

i managed to get two of the chinese commando hats, turns out there's another back in the engineering core just after defeating the enemy ship. (:

Never liked this DLC simply because there are so many areas, that you can miss and never be able to get access to again.. I completely missed the garbage disposal area, never heard of it before

What fuck I didnt know any of these items were on board the mother zeta ship...
I only got the unique plasma pistol and I had no clue there were more areas to explore
The only useful thing in that dlc is that pistol ,its really op ,all other weapons and armors not that helpful.

I didn't knew about the plasma pistol at all but got all experimental Alien Weapons and of course the samurai items
I remember my first time playing fallout 3 with the goty edition. Got through Mothership Zeta hoarding as much alien tech up my ass as possible and littering it all over my Tenpenny penthouse
We all skip at least 1 of these weapons or Armors.
(Like the Nova Surge, Samurai’s sword, Or the Revolver.)

the destabiliser does MORE damage than the normal alien desintegrator
It has more DPS, but it does less damage per shot.
Jeremy Waites not mine aye i shoot a deathclaw twice with the distabilizer and killed it but had to shoot it three times with a normal alien disintegrator

Dps is damage per second... its based on the rate of fire and the damage of each shot. Lrn2play scrub.
No... If it were damage per second (in this case) the damage would build up, but maybe you're right. Im just speaking from Fallout New Vegas stuff...

Just finished this dlc today for the first time, and I am surprised of how much of the uniques I missed.
I think it's worth adding that there're two rare giddy up butter cup action figures that appear after you've blown up the 3rd and final generator. Right outside the air lock theres one on a table next to the bed Sally sleeps on and one sitting on a table underneath the giant giddy up buttercup in the back under the stairs from the air lock. Both have a weight of two and a value of 150 caps. Worthy find to pruce up your decor in your house. Also if you hunt around the airlock area before you space walk there're several nuka quantums and a nuka grenade tucked away if you care to look. Note: for every generator you blow up new more valuable loot appears outside the airlock
I cant get back to the weapons room because I destroyed the other ship :(

Your Pip Boy shows you the weapons so D amage per SECOND apposed to its damage per SHOT.
Find an enemy, save , then take a single shot at the with you weapon, then swith trouble the disintegrater. Tell which doesn't more damage with only one shot.
It's more than double for me , from 92 to 197 dont know how but I ain't complaining.

Atomic Pulveriser is also another one of those zero spread weapons.
U can get 2 samari swords just dont give kago the 1 u found and he will show up to the bridge with another 1 also could u make a video finding the buttercup horses!?
After all the quests and you use the teleporter to get back to earth when you see the crash site from where the space ship used to be pick up the aliens pistol it looks exactly like the firelance and also uses the same type of ammo and has a damage of 100 and is a small gun (obviously) this gun is very very useful through out your adventure and is used to take out enemies very quickly but I think for it to be 100 damage it has to be fully repaired but you can easily do that by using the alien gel stuff to repair it its on the dead alien with ammo scattered across the ground

Have literally been playing this game for years and the only way I thought you get the sword from the samurai was for him to die. I had no idea about the maintenance part of the ship. Had fun exploring for the first time. Just goes to show what you can still discover in a old game like this.

I sort of wish the monstership zeta was in a way "extended" if not add something like a unique extended area after you finish the DLC, maybe have a crashsight in the capital wasteland a little further away from the beacon
I'm happy tp say I'm on my way to getting all of these without killing any characters😃. The samurai armor was so hard to steal so I used my gauss rifle on him with a stealthboy active and pickpocketed him while he was kocked back and he remained friendly! That took way too long but worth it
On the Xbox 360 the distableizer does twice the damage of a desintigrator and the atomic pulverizer does the same damage as the atamizer. Berly got those weapons just know thanks to this vid. First time playing this dlc
I just found the Spanner. It's in Engineering Core once you have destroyed the enemy ship. So it ain't an cut item as the wiki says.

My destabilizer does more base damage than my alien disintegrator
Destabilizer: 67
Disintegrator: 31
The displayed damage on the Pip-Boy for the Destabilizer is showing DPS rather than the base, which is why it appears higher. I put an annotation in there about it, but I realize some may not see it due to watching this on phones and such.
+Caedo Genesis my unique version of the Alien rifle gets up to over 130+ damage

The Tesla armor is not unique. You can get it in the base game.

You need to make a guide for the Captive recordings for the Mother ship Zeta DLC pack in fallout 3. It would be really helpful

Someguy1237 are you sure? There the only grenade that freezes people and the only way to get them is to bring Elliot to the cryo chambers with you and when you get back wait several hours for him to make them and when you finish the objective you can't get anymore

I really enjoyed the New Vegas expansions much more, probably because of the courier's story tying in somehow or another. I don't like excluding 3's expansions either though, they're all a different kind of fun.

My pleasure! I considered using a map, like some of my other guides, but it would be all interior maps, and those aren't the easiest to understand or explain. I do like that the aliens were nice enough to label their doors though. I appreciate the feedback regardless!

i missed half of the alien uniqe weapons cause i thought they were normal alien weapons and i never found general chases coat
I killed all of the cryo tube guys for their shit, I knew you could put armor to make them change but I never thought of it when I played. I feel bad now, they were frozen for a long time and I unfreeze them then brutally blow them up with nuka grenades.

if you take he medic guy to the cryo area you will also be able to receive cryo grenades every so often
by a stroke of luck i found the unique shock baton i didn’t know there were named weapons in the dlcs on 3 until this past friday
Don't ask me why but when I'm in a important part of the story I wear the Armored 101 vault suit

they always call you vault dweller and it makes sense that they would know if you actually wore the armor

totally helpful, only thing I encounter wrong is that wen I have everything and must kill captain the quest market guides me to a powerless teleportation station
before I say what I'm gonna yes I know this is only partially related, but I was grinding encounters to find the firelancer, and I actually got it to drop, the only thing was the fact that I did it inside a rootless building, which made it hard to find hardly any ammo, and the actual gun

also the spaceman is technically still alive when you open the pod so if you shoot him before the game does whatever they do to kill him you get xp

My samurai sword was never in that room I tried reloading the auto save of first going in there it still never appeared
Can you go back and re-explore everything? Because I already finished the quest and can't find a way to explore the spaceship again
When you exit the ship and look around the said area you will find an alien pistol which is on an alien corpse and freaken amazing
That is base game and uses power cells not modules also in the armory of the mobile base in broken steel an officer has one
paulsons revolver is basically just a Taurus judge its a shotgun revolver look it up if you never seen it before
Caedo Genesis slight correction to your intro. fawkes is a female. although technically all super mutants are gender neutral as a byproduct of their transformation. but fawkes, according to the computers where you find her, was a woman originally. but great guides regardless man.
OpposingForces No, the Dev's confirmed that Fawkes was a Male. they said the terminal entry was an oversight.

The terminal also says all subjects were killed. If your gonna try to correct someone make sure you get it right.

You didn't mentioned the alien blaster, that you can get after beating the dlc from the alien you see in the begining of the dlc when you're abducted

When I played mother ship zeta dlc. I was shocked that i found myself an enclave tesla power armor and a t-45 power armor

I found Firelance in Capital Wasteland , a prototype Alien Blaster which takes care of all Zetans with a single shot , shield or not.
I found Microwave Emitter in Point Lookout , which is deadly as a stealth energy weapon , and can take out anything from albino rad scorpion to a Zetan with a sneak critical attack shot.
Point Lookout taught me to sneak and used only guns in Capital Wasteland , so had enough of energy weapons ammo and collected Alien power cells.
The DLC was a cake walk and had no motivation to explore or steal from fellow captives .😊

For anyone wondering on Xbox one you can actually go back and get some of the weapons like the nova serge and the 3 prototypes
