What I heard was that Katy was really into her carreer and everything and Russell really wanted to start a family. Katy wouldn't because she felt that she hadn't reached quite what she wanted to reach yet and Russell didn't want to wait around for someone who had different ideas for their future than him.
I think all Latinos should be touched he went through learning this bit in Spanish and not playing big movie star but a humble loving everyday bloke. He actually reminds me of Duddley Moore's cheeky and loving personality.
For him to learn spanish like that shows he's a genius. Plus his Robbin Williams style streams of consciousness. lol
