The Monte Palace Madeira occupies an area of 70.000 M2. It houses an huge exotic plant’s collection, coming from all over the world, together with swans, flamingos and duck’s, that populates the central lake. In the central lake, the visitor may also admire the beauty and majesty of the swans. They prefer the relatively shallow cool water of lakes and ponds as their natural habitat. Despite of being actually admired in gardens all over the world, the black swans originate from Australia, Tasmania and New Zeeland and the wild white swans have their origin in Iceland and Scandinavia.

It will be enjoyable temperature.
We had 17- 20 degrees first two weeks of April. Soon it will be 20-22 average.
South side has more sunshine. North side more humidity, clouds. Best places with sun , Calheta, Ponta do sol, Funchal Praia Formosa.
It can be windy with winds of more than 26 km/h. At Achadas da Cruz we had winds of 36 ..
a place out of wind and you can sunbathe as long as you wish .. sunshine at noon can be hot .
