Are we really so sure Chris and Kobe would have gotten along? The micro manager with a Napoleon complex and the mean spirited bully? Chris Paul has had an interesting NBA career so far.
In the beginning, he was a bright young star with the New Orleans Hornets, leading them to 56 wins at just 22 years old.
Paul is one of the greatest point guards of all time, and yet...he's still somehow underrated.
Despite the doubters, Paul is still an elite player who literally makes every single team better.
Every team he played for in his NBA career has been better with him on the roster, as he fits seamlessly into any situation.
Paul is objectively one of the 10 greatest point guards ever, a rare combination of historic passing, very good shooting, slicing attacks toward the rim, and elite defense at his position

Yes, there are bums out there like Bradley Beal but for the most part, guys who are in the top 15 in salary make their teams better. Getting past OKC and the Heat would've been difficult, but if everyone's healthy it could've been done. I will forever hate Dan Gilbert for sending David Stern that stupid email saying, "I just can't see how we can allow this trade to happen." and then when Kevin Love got traded to the Cavs no one complained about that, yet he complained about the Lakers. And even if Chris Paul went to the Lakers and Dwight Howard still got traded too, then he could've let his back fully heal after the surgery going into the playoffs. Man, what a missed opportunity.

It's telling that Paul didn't get past the 2nd round of the playoffs in his first 12 years in the league, which was his prime. His skills are well-suited for the regular season, but not for the playoffs. That's why he's always fallen short. Reminds me of Carmelo. They are gonna accrue stats, they can get you to the playoffs, but they're gonna be an early out.

@@sudowoodo5826 Stats aren't everything. I've seen way too many games where CP3 does nothing when it matters and then decides to get his stats in garbage time. I agree he's better than Carmelo but they both have skillsets that just don't translate well to the playoffs. CP3 is way too passive and Carmelo was just a ballhog.

CP3 is probably a top ten/15ish player of all time if he was able to maintain his hornets athleticism for longer

Well based off what CP3 did with other SG guards.....him and Kobe would see the Finals. Yall forget Kobe got hurt due to a shit ton of usage. He could finally be a catch and shoot player with CP3 drawing in with the P&R.Dwight wouldn't work bc he wanted to play post more to prove a point. I agree with that

Him literally doing any or all of what you wrote, won't change the fact that he isn't going to get a ring. If anything, when it comes right down to it, he will absolutely be the reason they won't sniff a championship this year.
