I've seen your books around for ever but this is the first time i've seen your video tutorials and they're amazing!! I'm gonna have to buy your books now!
You are a sheer delight and a breath of fresh air. I will be buying your led book soon. Thanks so much. I'm retired and really tight with money, so buying this book is a big deal for me, and it means I really like you and what you're doing. Became a puppeteer last year and I made a big stage in my studio where I'll be creating puppet videos. I'm hoping to incorporate lighting in different areas of the video. They look cool. I don't do this very often btw. Thanks for sharing...
A few tips for you, to help the soldering of the wires go smoother and create a stronger joint, it helps to tin the wire first. this is simply applying solder to it before soldering to the led. To help with the protection of joints, slip on heat shrink to the wire BEFORE soldering. After the soldering is done simply slide the heat shrink up over the joint and apply heat with a open flame for a short period. Just some helpful info for you.
wwoooow!!! nunca vi un tutorial tan bueno como el tuyo, de verdad se ve que eres una persona muy amable... muchas gracias por tus videos. Saludos desde Bolivia!! wwoooow !!! I never saw a tutorial as good as yours, you really are a very kind person ... thank you very much for your videos. greetings from Bolivia!!
If by "most basic battery" you mean just the LED across a button cell then that's still a difficult question to answer. There are different sizes of button cell. The different colours of LED require different Voltages to operate and as the battery runs down the LED will slowly become dimmer so it's subjective when the battery is 'done'. As the batteries aren't very expensive it's probably worth just trying one to see.
Omg I LOVE this video!! Why? Because I’m an idiot when it comes to electrical stuff and you made it super simple by breaking everything down into their simplest forms! Thank you !
Fantastic video! Planning to make a Coleman Stryker outfiit from the Iron Kingdoms universe, and both his weapons and armor would look amazing with some LEDs installed. Thanks for the inspiration!
Your videos are sooo helpful Kamui, I keep coming back to your channel to rewatch old videos because I learn something different every single time! If that makes sense xD
your videos have been a inspiration over the years. ill be doing my first light up prop, so i went and bought your digital books. i just wish you had amazon links to these little pieces (switches, batteries and such).
Glad to help! The problem with links is that they only work for one country and not for everybody who watches my videos, because they come from all over the world :(
Thank you thank you THANK YOU so much, you've literally just solved my problem. I've commissioned my props for Combat Medic Ziegler, but I still need to make the armour for the arms which involve some LEDs. Well you've shown me just how easy it can be and I'm relieved haha. I'll get to work!
That's interresting. I'm looking up LED stuff to try and make a simple and easy to swap tissue wrap with glowing runes on it, to wrap around weapons for LARP. Not easy to find something to make it portable and safe. (since I can't hide the battery easily inside. At least I don't think a thin and small battery like a watch one would be enough to light it up.)
I need to get your LED book so I can learn how to do stuff, I plan to put LEDs in some parts of my Lucario themed armor. They'll be in the staff(shaped like a bone to represent the Bone Rush move it learns) and in the palms of my gloves(for the Aura Sphere attack).
Hi there. Great video you explain how to put something together so we'll. I will always watch them. I miss your puppies in this one though. They are so cute. Thank you again. God bless.
+DragonSoulStones get the ebooks! they're never sold out, cheaper, and you can print the patterns out of the armor and sword and stuff. or if you're like me, print it out and tape it onto your work station so you can refer to it easier when trying not to blow something up lol
thank u so much for this! my friend and i are planning on cosplaying genji and zenyatta and when i saw thought you cosplayed symmetra i only screAMED!!! your cosplay is wonderful!!!
Hey, Svetlana, Benny, very helpful video thank you. You used many LEDs on one battery at the beginning, but how would you use many LEDs while still using an on/off switch for props? Hoping you read older videos' comments.
Sooo, with the Transpa-art, can you make a shape out of that, then sand that to make it milky and then add a LED to it? That would make it much easier to get the right shape for light accents :)
I am no expert, but I recommend you to use a small resistor in series to your voltage source to avoid that the LED acts like a short circuit. This should keep your batteries alive much, much longer. Cool video though.
This was literally the simplest LED tutorial I've ever seen. Thank you so much for this.
never seen this explained so simply and easy to understand, thanks!
my daughter loves you. She fell in love with cosplaying and your videos just had made working on her costumes 100 times much easier
I've seen your books around for ever but this is the first time i've seen your video tutorials and they're amazing!! I'm gonna have to buy your books now!
After several more confusing videos - your's explained the necessary parts so easily - thanks

I appreciate the information thank you!

Thanks for this, Kamui :) Your English is getting very good!
I tried attaching LEDs to my cut out of Hugh Jackman but he didn't become super realistic, have I done something wrong?
Did you hold it in front of a a mirror and say his name three times.....
Try hot gluing knives to his knuckles
You need to pray to him. But you like have to mean it, be prepared to pay the ultimate price
This music XD , feels like your selling furniture
Oh wow! I honestly had no idea working with LEDs was this easy!
It's a lot of fun!
wwoooow!!! nunca vi un tutorial tan bueno como el tuyo, de verdad se ve que eres una persona muy amable... muchas gracias por tus videos. Saludos desde Bolivia!!

+Serg Fernandez Ocampo Glad to help! :)
Ahhh!!! Thank you so much for simplifying what a soldering tool is!! I always thought it was more complicated
I love your tutorials and I really admire your hard work. I'm saving up to buy all of your books.
I love your energy Kamui! You really know how to bridge the gap between technology and cosplay! - Jeff
"Cuz lights are awesome, the just make Everyfhing awesome, EVERYFHING!" made me giggle xD
Most practical LED video, Thank you, you are brilliant
How much does that LED last with the most basic battery?
In my LED book I have calculated the most basic combination but for a standard three 3V LEDs plus a 9V block battery its 27.5h.

This is inspiring and easy to understand. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic video! Planning to make a Coleman Stryker outfiit from the Iron Kingdoms universe, and both his weapons and armor would look amazing with some LEDs installed. Thanks for the inspiration!
Once again, you're inspiring. I mean, look at that work station! I am beyond jealous!
Super helpful! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Your videos are sooo helpful Kamui, I keep coming back to your channel to rewatch old videos because I learn something different every single time! If that makes sense xD
Yay! A straightforward tutorial on LEDs! Thank you so much!
if you want to have a higher spread of the light, sand down the tip of the LED flat. not too far to cause damage.
Im happy that there exist such a good cosplayer from Germany
perfect, thanks! that was exactly ALL I needed right now. how wonderful to get that and no more, but equally, no less:)
Thanks for the tutorial this is very helpful!! Love from Spain ❤❤

oh that makes sense. you're a global cosplay asset :) ill do some Amazon searching see if i can find switches and battery holders and such. thanks!
Good luck on your prop!!!
Thank you thank you THANK YOU so much, you've literally just solved my problem. I've commissioned my props for Combat Medic Ziegler, but I still need to make the armour for the arms which involve some LEDs. Well you've shown me just how easy it can be and I'm relieved haha. I'll get to work!
the way you say Video is adorable.
This was really helpful - thanks!
You are one of the most adorable humans!
Heat shrink tubing would be helpful on your connections
I attempted this without soldering and only using electric tape , works like a charm
Yay!
Wow, so simple. Great tutorial!
Very helpful, will give this a shot on my next cosplay

Pretty much as simplified you can make it but it’s also amazing.
Love this, very helpful
You are the cosplay queen!
really helpful! thank you! also already bought the book
YES IT's AWESOME!!!
A little tip for you guys, you usually should use a resistance in front of your LED cause a LED works with rly low voltage.
oh god thank you for making this so simple! I'm planning to make a Kano eye mask and props!
Thank you for the video! I'm working on Goblin Slayer so I'm going to try and attach some Red LEDS to an eyepatch to wear under the helmet.
TY for this your awesome! Buying every book I can if there not all sold out.
+DragonSoulStones get the ebooks! they're never sold out, cheaper, and you can print the patterns out of the armor and sword and stuff. or if you're like me, print it out and tape it onto your work station so you can refer to it easier when trying not to blow something up lol
can you show me where i can get everything you used in the video?
thank u so much for this! my friend and i are planning on cosplaying genji and zenyatta and when i saw thought you cosplayed symmetra i only screAMED!!! your cosplay is wonderful!!!
Yes omg I need this so hard. THANK YOU KAMUI!!!
You are very helpful. Thanks!
I wish I had this video 5 months ago when I was working with LEDs haha
Super tutorial :) but, please use the positive lead to switch the LED, it is safer because the current is no longer applied to the LED.
By THE way im a beginner and your Videos are awesome
I only discovered your stuff today omg o; inspired me sooo much to actually work on my sylvanas cosplay :D
THAT was the helpfull video i was looking for.
wow very useful . You earned a subscriber great job :)

That would make it much easier to get the right shape for light accents :)
THATS AMAZING!!! :D I never thought about LED placement... xD
I got jealous of your weapons on the background :((( I want all of it (you so cool¡¡¡)
Would you have to create multiple battery packs for multiple lights?
"Plus pole, minus pole" I died at the cuteness of her naming.
You are so coool.... you are the best!
I love her accent
Woher habt ihr diese superkleinen Schalter? Finde immer nur diese klobigen großen...
When she said "Clean the tip off" I kinda melted.
Does your book give tips on how to add sound effects to props also does it have anything in making buttons a release button
Danke dass es dich gibt T_T Ich muss mir unbedingt dein Buch kaufen x3

You don’t need a resistor if you are using a 3V battery and an LED though. It’s only required if your battery has more. :)
Is there a different battery holder for the other kind of battery you used in the sword and the gun?
thanks omg! life saver for my next cosplay.
+PandaPockies same same same same
