  • We had a Hurricane here in Nova Scotia back in 2022. Fiona was the most intense tropical or post-tropical cyclone to hit Canada on record. Last Spring, a customer asked if I could go help clean up some fallen trees at a lakefront cottage.Glenn was there with his Stihl Chainsaw and I had my Bobcat E50.
We had a little breakdown, but a quick fuel solenoid replacement for the excavator and we were back in business!
It was a fun job and I really enjoyed working with Glenn!
    Thanks for watching!
    Thank you,
    Howie and Kelly

Without your excavator with the thumb, that looks like it would have been an almost impossible job.
We had an icestorm in 2008 that just destroyed a small pine grove behind my home. Couldn't walk through it. Started on the outskirts and just kept cutting and sorting. I burned brush, limbs, shattered wood for a week in the Spring.
Salvaged some, but everything was split inside from the weight they bore before shattering.
    It's enjoyable watching your skill.

Someone has worked a felling crew for a couple years. it looks like the hurricane also did a good job of thinning down that stand. It looks like it needed it and There are years worth of stovewood seasoning now.

That is a mess that is going to take years. At least you have things trimmed back to where you have some access. Too bad you didn't have a machine that could handle a full size logging head, it would have gone a lot faster I expect.
