I'm contemplating getting rid of most of my piecing thread and just have 3 cones of thread...light, medium, and dark. The space savings would be worth it....
Oh very interesting!! I can totally relate to wanting to save space. Do you do any of your own quilting or binding that you like to have color matches for? That would be my only concern with getting rid of your other piecing thread!
I think it's a matter of personal preference! I don't pre-wash any of my fabrics, whether I'm English Paper Piecing or doing machine piecing for a quilt.
Just found you and love your fabric choices! I too buy in fear of the fabrics I love going out of print when I finally see a pattern that would be great with them. We have a life time to use it, right 😉 Great choices, love the quilt and the cat!
