      If you are looking at getting into budget ITX the Hyte Revolt 3 has been bouncing between 110-130 usd recently with a 700 watt sfx psu. At 110 usd its a great deal. It has a space for up to 280 aio but it holds the down draft coolers with most budget cpus fine and you and run two 120 or 140mm fans to keep it cool. And it doesn't need a video card adapter.

    With a reference 7900 XT you have 70mm of space for CPU cooler, either Scythe Big Shuriken 3, Noctua NH-L12S or the Thermalright AXP120-X67 would be much better. Also the side panels lift up from the bottom and you have a lever you slide to remove the side panel, you don't need to push the front and rear panels apart. Custom cables are basically a must if you want a bottom mounted fan. If you actually read the manual they tell you to remove the GPU mount and mount the graphics card to the mount and reinstall in the case.

    Great vid Centric! (Some advice for those new to ITX building)
    The Terra is certainly a beautiful design, unfortunately I feel as though form has overtaken function a bit too much, the restriction on cooling options is a bit disappointing considering you can get a 240mm radiator in a FormD T1 (Which is the same volume).
    Having said that though, you don't need (I repeat, DON'T need) the highest end components these days to have an awesome gaming experience on PC, the more budget builds with this current gen (Plus great future upgradeability) are still very capable 1440p machines and with that, thermals shouldn't be an issue provided everything has been installed correctly.
    PS, cable management is CRUCIAL for ITX builds, if you can afford to pay for either shorter and more flexible power cables, please do so as this will reduce the internal air restrictions within your ITX chassis and allow air to move more freely which will both reduce thermals and noise levels, plus you may not need as powerful CPU cooler or even potentially run a more powerful CPU with the same cooler.
    There's a lot more to it, but I feel like I've said enough.. x'D

    • @SpeedBall95
      @SpeedBall95 Год назад

      What cooler would you use in a FormD T1 I’m looking to build a itx gaming pc and I’d really like something in this form factor

    • @AxleLotl
      @AxleLotl Год назад +2

      @jessemoreau95 Glad you asked, I personally have two FormD T1's, both sandwich V2.1's.
      The cooler needed is based on your CPU and GPU as the T1 can be customised.
      Ryzen CPU's are very power efficient and need very little cooling during gaming.
      A noctua L9x low profile cooler would be enough for every Ryzen except 7950x and 7900x since they're above 120w tdp's. Combine this with two noctua NF-A12x25's as your top exhaust and you'll never have thermal issues. Phanteks T30's are advised for exhaust if you're using a 4080/4090 however.

    Yeah everytime you want to do any maintenance you'll have to change your gaming CPU paste. As you'll need to remove the cooler everytime you want to get to the motherboard.
    Only one NvME slot. Where you gonna put your extra storage? No room for any other drives.
    I don't understand the point of micro-cases.

    Would this build do fine as a home theatre pc? Would like a pc like this on my big living room tv for single player games

    • @Neonagi

      I use it as a main gaming/workstation PC so it'll have no problem as a home theatre PC, it's one of the smallest and cleanest PC cases I've ever seen.

    I want this case for more of a Farming Simulator gaming pc while allowing the use of multiplayer FP Shooter games if I want to play them! What changes if any would you opt for I would like it to be pretty quiet other than that not much more needed that I’m aware of?

    If you need a cooler around the same height as that Pure Rock LP, consider a Thermalright AXP90-X47 Full Copper variant. Significantly better performance, especially on AM5 motherboards. Do note that the stock cooler nuts are not compatible with the backplate on this Asrock motherboard.

      I have ordered a couple of Noctuas to test - the good thing about this cooler is that it allows for HUGE graphics cards and is very quiet with the 7600. So upgrade with caution haha

      @@PcCentric Unfortunately Noctua is slacking between the size of the L9A, and the L9x65. I'd personally avoid the L9x65, doesn't perform as well as it could

    • @spcow
      @spcow Год назад +2

      As much as I support Noctua, Thermalright's low profile CPU coolers are currently superior, especially the full copper versions. Even the Thermalright AXP120-67 matches the Noctua L12S and beats the Noctua L9x65.

    I have a questions, for sustained CPU load how do you think this would work in VR games? As this sometimes works GPUs more and flat screen games.

    Uh, cringing so hard when you didn't read the manual and struggeling to get those side panels off and on, bending the whole frame instead popping it on smoothly as it was designed. Not much for a showcase of a product when you don't know basic things like that. 🙄
