Days come and days go. spend the time with the ones you love and tell them so Time is short on this place they call earth. Our days are numbered starting at birth. It matters not if they are human or pet. On the day of their passing we will never forget. We love them with all of our heart that we know right from the start. People may laugh and may not know how we feel. But when we lose a dear friend the hurting is real. A dog such as Nelly so faithful and true gave so much love to the family that's you. Though she may be gone her spirit is here and when think about her her soul is still near She crossed the bridge on that sad day. But her memory here will not go away. Nelly you will be missed Joe and Mellissa. Thoughts are with you during this time. I hope you don't mind me writing this. Just a few words of rambling that came to mind.
lee reynolds Much thanks. I lost my 15 yr old Husky Princessa not 4 months ago. Just starting to turn the corner, that grief corner. Guess I’m getting old and w that comes major sentimentality. Talk about a hole in your heart! Really hesitant to get another but I know that I need to badly. Just shoring up my strength to check out the various shelters and Husky Havens here in Central FL. Just wanted to say Hang in there it does get better. This is my 3rd time thru this. 😢 But I know I will eventually come out the other side. Big Hug to both Melissa and Joe. 🙏🏻👍
I've been through it several times. The last was the worst, my Standard Poodle, 17 yrs old. After being dogless for a long time, my husband said, "This is ridiculous, you've been sad for 3 1/2 years now, you're getting a dog." So we did, and now my husband's in love with the dog we have now. He was raised in an airforce family traveling all over the family, and this is his first time being in love with a pet. From now on, when a dogs dies, I'm not wasting time finding a doggie creature that needs a home! Bless you and Melissa in your time of great sorrow.

there is a lovely story of a small boy and his father taking their 16 year old dog to the vet, old and very sick and had come the moment to say good bye. The vet, said -"ohh, it is so bad that we have to say good bye to our dogs, they live too little"-. And the little boy said to him -"but you know why they live so little? You see, we human beings come to earth to learn how to love and that takes lots of time, dogs already know very well how to love completely, so they do not need to stay here for so long. We should learn from them". And it is so true: there is no other Love that can compare to the unconditional Love we receive from our dogs. You were sooooo lucky to have her and receive her Love. And she was lucky to have been with you and living such a wonderful life.
Sad times indeed when you loose a pet making that final decision is hard however when the time comes know full well your pet no longer in pain and she has had a great life good to see those little clips of nell in happier times. Life is never easy and you have a great way of conveying this in your videos. Keep up the good work look forward to next one
Oh no! How sad for everyone! I remember when we had to put our cat down she rode in the car with her head in my lap and when it came time my son ran from the room and I held her till she passed. I walked out to the parking lot to find my 6 foot 6 inch son sitting on the ground crying his heart out and we spent the next 20 minutes a complete mess! There is nothing great about a day like that!
We try to enjoy each day with our family, friends, and pets. Looking back at the days you shared makes it worth every moment. Good vibes sent up north.

There is just no easy way. 3 years ago it was my big dog 2 years ago it was my cat 1 year ago my other cat Now I just have my little Pomeranian, he is 13. Going to be a killer when he has to go. So sorry for your loss😭 I know how it feels! I had to put down my good friend Brutus, I never cried so hard!!!! Had him since he was 8-weeks old. It was just like yesterday when my wife and I went to go pick him up, he was so big he couldn't crawl under the couch. Since then, my wife now have two beautiful English labs,both brothers! Ruger and Emmit. Brutus will always be in my mind and ❤️ oh and Damian as well, another Chocolate Lab I lost. The beauty of all, is that I can see a little of all my labs in the two brothers which in return gives me peace of mind, and all the more love and to cherish every moment with them. RIP Nelly.
Joe & Melissa, my sincere condolences. I lost my own beautiful big Briard just a couple of months ago, and there is still a huge hole in my life where he was for more than 13 years. I wish you and the rest of your fur kids the best.

Over all the time I have been watching you I have heard you mention and have seen you bring in materials from your job sites, how wonderful that you are able to salvage so much usable materials and put it to such good use. I love to see people being thrifty. Good job. Melissa love to watch you meals come together. I am from the Texas Panhandle, the very top of Texas but all my relatives are from Mississippi and Louisiana. My parents moved away in their 20's so I have known no other home but always felt I should have been from the South. Because of my parents upbringing Southern food is what we grew up on. We would have rice for breakfast instead of oatmeal, grits were served at least 2 times a week so seeing you cook brings back such fond memories of my visits to my grandparents aunts and uncles kitchens. The pain can be overwhelming she got me through the death of a child and has kept me sane with a missing child since 2013. I am very lonely without her. So sorry for your loss of Nelly what a precious pet. I just lost my sweet furbaby Cassie age 16 My heart is broken she was my best friend. The pain can be overwhelming she got me through the death of a child and has kept me sane with a missing child since 2013. I am very lonely without her. I rescued her many years ago from a kill shelter.

Sorry to hear about Nelly. She is across that Rainbow Bridge running free and no ailments!! I lost my Basenji 9 months ago and it is still like it was yesterday! Nelly and My Sarah are up there smiling and tails wagging. God Bless you and Melissa!!

Dang Joe and Melissa...I'm really sorry about Nelly. Its hard to think about all the great times during the hardest time of having pets. There is nothing better than the way a dog loves their family.
