Not necessarily, the bible doesnt anywhere say that descipleship is what will prevent people from backsliding, I didn't have anyone to desciple me when I became saved, infact the Christians around me were quite immature when it came to the bible and couldn't really answer any of the questions that I had or relate to what I was going through as a new believer, but all that did was make me determined to try and figure out who God was myself. The thought of backsliding did come into my mind when I went through a time of hardship but God had become so real that I just couldn't do it. I think there're some people that God will make sure they don't backslide and others he will allow to backslide and bring them back, with Kanye however only God knows if he was ever saved or not.
I don’t like speaking on other people’s salvation or faith walk but I believe it’s just a situation of spiritual warfare. Just like most addicts, it takes multiple tries to reach that promised land. I believe Kanye will make a comeback but is just struggling with the energy he surrounds himself with. Even in one of the songs on the album he says “I need my kids to be Christian”. I believe Christ is too rooted in his spirit through his upbringing to desert the faith.

A lot of us have gone back and forth with our Salvation, some to that point where we start questioning if we were really saved to start with.
The issue with Kanye is he almost always has a camera in front on him, so his life is always documented and then he has the tendency to fly off the handle, other than that, it is very normal

I'm a survivor of severe trauma and now back in my faith, authentically with no backsliding this time (I hope and pray) - I see a lot of trauma and grief in Kanya, I think he's lost right now and I pray he finds his way back! I pray he can take time to seek education on trauma and grief and, through Jesus, start to truly heal and find his way home 🙏🏻🕊✝️

At the moment, I believe someone can believe the Gospel and trust in Jesus Christ alone as their Saviour, however due to exceptional circumstances, they may fall away from the faith at a later point in life, however because they believed at a point in their lives, they didn’t lose their eternal life or salvation. With Kanye however, I don’t think he was ever saved to begin with as a I personally believe he is either in with the masonic elites or the real Kanye was killed and this is a fake clone Kanye that’s performing to dupe the masses.
From what I know people who are coming out of the occult and freemasonry can have a hard time sometimes. Their walk with Christ can look a bit messy at first because that lifestyle has some serious holds and bondage attached to it. Totally agree. When we are first saved we all get huge portions of the HS and are on fire. But very few have a 0 to 100 straight walk to glory when God takes off the training wheels. It takes time to get out from bondage. Now imagine the traumas, isolation, money, and celebrity issues Kanye has to deal with. The devil is certainly going to attack him. Pride and ego will always be his stumbling blocks. We all must work out our salvation with fear and trembling. He is only human and still a baby Christian wrestling with the flesh. God is patient.

The reality is that we just don't know. There are two gray areas . People who act saved but aren't, and people who are saved but have started acting like they aren't. The believers in his life should try to reach him and bring him back into the fold.

Can’t remember the name of that pastor whose church Kayne visited (there is a great podcast of that story)and then he started to walk along side Kanye.
Not long after that discipleship relationship started with that pastor, Kayne and Kim moved to another state.
Kayne was left alone with his new faith I’m guessing. And that’s where the father of lies comes in and distracts Kanye.
I could be wrong about all that but either way, if we think we can run the race alone, we are in trouble.

Even demons believe Jesus is the son of God and they are not going to heaven, so repentance is def. a part of truly believing in Jesus and getting salvation. (Repentance meaning asking for forgiveness and turning 180/changing your ways.) Another big part of truly believing is Confessing that Jesus is your personal Lord (king) and listening to what he says, including how he tells us to carry ourselves.
I think if he took his meds and worked on his relationship to grow deeper with God he could be an amazing leader. He's just in a tough season and needs direction. I believe he is saved. When I first got saved it took me a few years to get rid of some things. I still do cuss at times. But I do my best to not to. Doesn't mean I'm not saved. I do pray he gets back on track. I love Ye and will always support and pray for his journey. His heart is in the right place.

I'm a "Calvinist" and I do believe it is possible for genuine Christians to backslide (see King David). Can't say how unstable we would become if we had to go through a divorce like Kanye's.
David was not a Christian in terms of the New Testament. However he did believe in God.
I can't speak on is he or is he not, but one thing that stands out if he is, is the lack of community which comes with accountability.
He also seems to not have a good amount of time to be grounded and rooted in his relationship with God as a result of various factors.

I think the question that I have can you be saved without receiving the Holy Ghost? Can we change if we don’t have the Holy Ghost dwelling in you? In Acts the baptism of the Holy Ghost was given by the laying on hands and after repentance believing in the promise. So has Kanye received the Holy Ghost? That has the power to change a man.

I also believe God uses people like Kanye, Kat Von D, Daddy Yankee, etc. To test our hearts. Most folks are so critical and holier than thou that love seems not to be in them. God is exposing our hearts. The Lord says if you don't have love, it all means nothing. The Lord also says we shouldn't curse those who are made in the image of God (man). Our tongues can set the fires of hell if we are not careful.
The sad truth is many people claim to be saved but are not.

I think one factor that people usually don't consider is the mental health issue. From what I've seen (and I'm no expert), Kanye has bipolar or something that causes some of his outbursts along who goodness knows what else (expecially coming from the music industry). Hopefully he (and his family) gets to where God wants them to be.
His handlers have done things to Kanye that I wonder if it may have more to do with his outbursts than anything else. I suspect, and he's made comments on it as well, that they have continuously been trying to keep him in control. He fights it, but only God knows what all his struggles are with all that evil that surrounds him. Having children with someone who's been influenced by darkness adds hardships to an already challenging road away from destruction, because her influence on those children affect both the children and their dad, Kanye, as well, but also as you said, being surrounded by the music industry does not help him any.

Kanye's story is still in progress. We don't know. But there is biblical precedent that it possible to go wildly astray for a season and not derail God's larger plan.

If someone is "Saved" or Baptised i would never question the Salvation. it's like me questioning God Himself. Now to my understanding when you get saved, you are in a state of Grace or Free from Sin. Everyone can backslide from that weather it be small sins or Big sins. the question i have is how to you get back to a state of grace again?

Lol but he does still make music that promotes that very same agenda he seems to try and expose. Once you first get transformed your high in the Lord, then the test, trials, and temptations and attacks come. We all backslide because the enemy comes hard at you and Kanye is no exception, he will come back around, but he's going through his walk which any real Christian should it's a never ending battle. Big thing I think we miss is that as 1 Cor. 15 says, we are *being* saved. If we have the Holy Spirit within us, we are sealed as Ephesians says, but Hebrews makes it clear that we must continue in this. We are being saved, but we will be truly saved on the day of Christ, and until then we must persevere and remain faithful. This is totally against Calvinist doctrine, but I obviously don't subscribe to that. So much of the emphasis of the NT and Paul's letters is that we must finish this race with perseverance. Not making any type of determination on Kanye, but we can always return to the world.

First and foremost, I believe that "If You're TRULY Saved, You're TRULY Saved"!!
But, My question is for the "Once saved always saved" camp...

If OSAS is the case, WHY does the Bible warn repeatedly about abandoning, departing, making shipwreck, falling away, apostasy, being deceived, bewitched, beguile, being entangle, ensnared, ALL in the context of walking away from the faith??
The Word exhorts us to be diligent, vigilant, steadfast, immovable, rooted, grounded, anchored concerning your faith in Christ.
If it's something that CAN NOT be "lost" WHY does it seem so imperative that we hold fast?
And why did Paul seem to celebrate his keeping of the faith at the end of his life if it was something that could NEVER be lost??
