Thanks for the video. All due respect, in the majority of cases, if you feel God resurrect pieces of yourself you died too, you might want to take a second look at that and make sure you didn't pick it back up and figure out a way to justify something God wanted you to die too. God bless you and your family.
I resonate with George's statement: "...as soon as you bring up Jesus Christ, you get nailed. You get crucified." It's one of the hardest things I've endured. The hatred, rejection, and bitterness wielded against followers of Jesus. Hopefully as a collective we get to a point where we regularly uplift each other and use our individual relationships with The Lord to purify, exalt, and sanctify the Church of Christ. God bless anyone reading this and have a Merry Christmas.
I hope this finds you well but must respectfully rebut: I became a Christian 26 years ago and I've experienced what you mention(the hatred, etc.) when I "talk the talk". People don't want to hear it. However, I've noticed that if I "walk the walk", i.e. turn the other cheek, show love to my enemies, keep joy through trials, give to others(not just those who would give back), etc., people notice, are drawn and become curious. I think using the word “crucified” is hyperbolic and perhaps an insult to what Christ *actually* went through and what many around the world are still going through. Though there are many countries that don't have freedom of religion and Christians ARE persecuted, but 87% of US Congress claims to be Christian and all but 2 presidents(Jefferson and Lincoln) have claimed it as well. The new speaker of the house (the 3rd in line for succession) Mike Johnson, believes God chose him, and that America should be a Christian Nation. His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 37 which includes passages like: "For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land" and "He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it." It seems clear to me this man is NOT a follower of the teachings of Christ as Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world. If Mike gets his way(which is a real possibility IMO) it seems more likely that in the future Christians will be become the persecutors and not the persecuted even though Jesus didn't say, "Blessed are those who persecute others for righteousness sake" but the opposite. . Today, many US Christians act more like the self-righteous Pharisees of old, praying for all to see and seeking material blessings. They seem more likely to build grand and luxurious buildings for themselves in which to worship than build shelters for "the least of these". More likely to condemn than show compassion. I'm reminded of the verse "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness." It's no wonder people don't want to hear about Jesus as it seems many Christians seem to have abandoned His teachings. Lastly, when I was a young Christian there were these popular bracelets imprinted with the letters WWJD. So I ask an honest question, when you watch Christian political leaders and pundits and compare their words and actions with the actions and teachings of Christ, does it really seem to you that they are asking themselves, "What Would Jesus Do?" 🙏
@@CMA418 As a new follower of Christ it is always refreshing and encouraging to hear the perspectives of those who are more experienced and well read. I agree with a lot of your statements. I resonated with the crucifying part because for many followers worldwide, conversion may lead to ridicule, societal rejection, and even death. In America we are blessed not to deal with those persecutions. I also agree with your part about walking the walk and talking the talk. You can't force people to change, only inspire to change. I think thats part of the power of Jesus' life. He walked and talked the talk, and was the only human to live a perfect sinless life since the days of Adam. Talk about being an inspiration to change, which goes back to your part on 'What would Jesus do?' I agree with WWJD and the part about the speaker. I don't think that Jesus as speaker would be talking about vengeance and destruction of adversaries. On the cross he didn't speak of destruction to the Roman soldiers crucifying him, he spoke of forgiveness and interceded on their behalf for they didn't fully know and understand the divinity of Jesus. Like how Jesus intercedes does and has always interceded on the behalf of humanity. When they chose to release Barrabas the murderer instead of Jesus, he didn't lash out and speak of destroying his adversaries. He just took it and spoke of forgiveness. Compared to past speakers though, I like Mike Johnson. I think he's closer to Christ than some of the others lol. As he is a publicly professed Christian, though, I don't feel a reservation to criticize but rather an urge to encourage as Romans 8:1 comes to mind: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
@@tdogg11 Thanks for the lengthy and thoughtful response! A couple of things: 1. You say, "In America we are blessed not to deal with those persecutions." Perhaps. I can't say this is true for certain as Jesus did say, "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake." So it's possible they are more blessed than those of us who live more comfortably. Relative to the standard of living 2000 years ago, many of us would be considered to be *very* wealthy indeed. 2. Re: "inspire to change". I tend to agree. Interesting to me, one of the principles of 12 step programs is "Attraction not Promotion". They refer specifically to media publication and so on, but I think this can apply as a general principle. When people go in to meetings of their own volition(not forcibly) because the see a change in others, their chances of relapsing are less. 3. Re: Mike Johnson. He certainly makes claims that imply he is "closer to Christ" but as Jesus said, "Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’" I'm also reminded of a few things: A. The quote, "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely." B. Jesus did criticize, primarily those who publicly flaunted their religiousness. For example, as He said, "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others." C. Many throughout history have believed themselves to be doing "God's work" here on earth. And many of them have committed heinous atrocities on those they believed deserved it. I can only speak from my own experience, and my hope is not to be inflammatory with the things I've said here. 🙏
Bishop's response felt like a PBD rebuke. The kingdom of God doesn't work like a business, seems PBD wants to think of everything in terms of leadership/marketing/etc., if it isn't working then there must be something wrong with the product, but to Bishop's point, the problems isn't the message it is man's hard heart. To Janko's point, we preach the good news regardless of how effective we think it is. I like PBD but every time he talks about Christianity, he says something that concerns me. I love business/free markets/etc. but God doesn't operate like that, I think he needs to read his Bible a bit more.
Reading the Bible is only part of it. People misconstrue the Bible all the time, because they're looking at it through their own personal lens. Discussion with other Christians is absolutely critical. I seem to catch a lot of flak for saying this, but Catholic and Orthodox interpretation is also incredibly important because they have maintained the Churches interpretation of the Bible for over 1,500 years.
China too. I think China and Iran have the fastest growing Christian populations right now. We have to accept maybe our time of being the centre of Christendom is over, or at least waning, but the faith is surging ahead in new lands. As we fall in the west to progressive values, even in our churches, Africa is standing firm and refusing to compromise on God's word. Look at the recent document from the Catholic Church on blessings for gay couples and see entire episcopal conferences in Africa refusing to carry them out. Not the odd bishop here and there but entire countries. Eastern Europe too is resisting modernism in the faith. So let's not get too pessimistic, we know how this ends, the gates of Hell will not prevail!
People think Faith is a numbers game. You can have a million Muslims and 10 Christians and God will still be God, the Truth will still be the Truth, don't forget that we serve a God who says he can raise stones to worship him, that should tell you something.
anyone can cal themselves a christian it doesn't mean they ARE one. His lifesyle doesn't depict a christian lifestyle. The celebrities and people he hangs around and his podcast uses a lot of profanity and inappropriate topics. Many people have christian beliefs but don't like a christian lifestyle. @@patrikvaring22
Proverbs 18:12 “Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honour.” We are suppose to be humble. So even though it looks like Christian’s get walked on. If you’re truly humble you feel no pain. You have a space for love. If you have pride you will feel pain of other people’s opinions. Have no pride and be humble to God
I don't think humility means that others opinions about us will not affect us at all. I think that we should not let the pain of rejection overwhelm us or keep us from doing what is right, and instead prioritize God's assessment and _His_ opinions.
Scripture also says the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and only the violent shall take it by force. I think that means to not let others walk over you in a sense. Humility and being a coward or a pushover are two different things.
@@wokeuparebeltvat least he gave chapter & verse. Just mentioning a paraphrase of some random, possibly out of context, or badly translated thought doesn't help, IMO Turn the other cheek, & all of the other teachings about humbleness, meekness, etc throughout the new testament would have to be ignored, & it's usually to justify earthly, human pride, instead of living by God's Word's teachings. I finally realized that I used to twist many verses to justify my own behavior, because I didn't want to change deep inside, but eventually, hopefully, all of God's children will have eyes to see & ears to hear His word for what it truly says, & not what they want it to say.
I’m glad you commented on this one. This interview was great. It was preaching and scripture for 2 hours and I don’t think PBD was expecting it at all by his reactions and body language
@@Metanoia000 yeah I'm not a Catholic but I've recently realized bc of the scandals of the Catholic Church and other things I had presuppositions about it that weren't true and didn't realize how much they've done to keep Christianity alive even tho I disagree with some of its recent decisions and such.
Always love Mar Mari. His preaching, his presence his attitude, everything about him is what many of our Assyrian church leaders are lacking these days. I pray that all Christians around the world wake up and really start understanding what our lord and savior Jesus Christ's teachings are.

I got you brother Ruslan. I just read this today “But I am afraid that, even as the serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning, your minds may be corrupted and led away from the simplicity of [your sincere and] pure devotion to Christ.“ 2 Corinthians 11:3 AMP
But if "once saved always saved" or "eternal security" is true, why does it even matter? Once u are "saved ", u can do whatever u want. That's why this doctrine is dangerous, IMO.
@@twztid13 that’s what doesn’t make sense to me. We are told time and time again that salvation has nothing to do with works, all you need is faith and belief that we will be forgiven. Okay, then why do Jesus and Paul say a man will be judged “according to his works.” Which one is it?
@@officialthomasjames The explanation my pastor gave me is that the word belief in the apostle's day included action. Idk how true that is, but there's too many places that Messiah himself says to keep the commandments. I know He will take our place, but He knew what He was going to do for us, & could have easily said just to believe in all those places, but He chose to use the language that says to keep the commandments, so i think there's a reason for that. Faith without works is dead, so i think none of the belief can be genuine, unless we at least try to keep His commandments. None of us can say for sure, until we meet Him, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
To chime in on the faith without works is dead passage, It was explained to me that when you truly put your faith and belief in Jesus Christ we are given salvation which will cause us to have a change of heart that creates a desire to strive towards holiness and the things of God. We all have heard it said , God knows our heart. With that said He sees that a man or women who knows no good born into sin begin to live out a life moving into the direction of righteousness. So I believe it is in our Faith that puts us on a path of good works for the kingdom and things of God. The Bible confirms this when it says you will know them by there fruits or works. So it's not the focus I put on doing good works that saves me but the actual faith I have knowing Jesus is who He says He is. In scripture you see Jesus saying it is your faith that set you free and then you see the result that follows in action.
@greenpastures35 that makes the most sense to me, but i read people saying that this ultimately still requires works of some sort to have eternal salvation (since without any works, u never had true belief), so they denied this theory. None of us can do enough works to get into the kingdom, so we have to rely on Christ's sacrifice for us, so i know the works themselves aren't what saves us, but i think those who think all u have to do is pray 1 prayer, then u can go & enjoy a sinful lifestyle forever more, as willingly as u want, are mistaken.
Ooof need that edification and exhortation for my faith!! Lately I’ve been a lot more lead to tell people about the love of Christ and spreading his gospel unashamed!! And have gotten recent push back and hatred towards me because of it. But I will continue to love Gods creations and pray he shows them mercy.
The danger of listening to people that have done well in business they think church is business marketing issue. The reality is church is family and family is a mess and really inefficient.
@@christianmalik9996 Go listen to some Timothy Brindle and discover how hip hop music can be used as a tool of teaching theology and evangelism that happens to resonate well with those of us that were of that persuasion before becoming reborn in Christ. Please take the plank out of your eye.
I agree! I think a lot of young /middle aged people still resonate with Gods message however they don’t like church politics and modern church that it has become. E.g celeb pastors and the scandalous, the hurt they’ve experienced from from church leadership and other things. Despite that we still want community and fellowship
This whole conversation was about his people which are the Assyrian People who spoke the original language of Jesus. His concern was when will it be time or place for their people to have their own land like the Jewish people. Before anybody decides to pass judgment I’ll advise you to go look for the original interview because it was an amazing conversation. And God driven.
My ex husband hid out from the Syrian government in Maaloula in Syria, a Christian town where they still speak Jesus's Aramaic as he got his stuff together to leave. I think Mel Gibson spent time there when he was making The Passion of the Christ. They still have the festival of the cross there every year.
Sin is energy. God removes the energy of sin as long as you keep working to not do and have that sin, pray, worship and have faith in Jesus. In James 2:26 we read, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
You are not saved by your works or anything you can or ever could do. ONLY by the blod of Jesus Christ can we be saved. The way, the truth, the life. No one gets to the father but through me. It is pride to think you can do anything about your own salvation. Of course we are told to live a godly life.
i get what u said is right and biblical, but brad, the person u commented also quoted the bible. "anyone who continues to live in him, will not sin, but anyone who continues to sin shows that they do not know him or understand who he is"@@wiljamiselkomaa2617
Amen Brother, you are correct. The remnant comes to this understanding. Once we put our faith in Him, there is no doubt that our works are important, for our works are everything we do.
💯 the issue is that Patrick believes he’s a Christian, when there is evidence in his life and especially in his own words that he hasn’t been truly converted by the true and living God.
What I believe happened was my generations didn’t like having to go to church every weekend when we were young so we didn’t make our own kids do it and now we are seeing the backlash from that. That’s what I’m back in church and so are my kids. Community is needed. Rules are needed. Discipline is needed.
U should be doing that with or without church. If u need church to establish community and rules, you shouldn't be making babies. Church reinforces those good values, but ur comment sounds like the ppl that blame public schools for their children's incompetence. It's not the school or churches job to raise ur kids.
Okay so being able to put “X with Muslims for a holiday wouldn’t be acceptable” think about pride and humility. Christians should be humble and look to have no pride. Think about the times God gets mocked. He doesn’t show up to prove himself. He’s humble he knows who he is no matter anyone’s opinion. Christianity shouldn’t have pride. That’s the leading worst sin. Check the 7 deadly sins and 7 virtues. Proverbs 18:12 “Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honour.”
To have everlasting life you absolutely must trust in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation 💞. Saving repentance is turning from unbelief to belief.
I'm going to state an obvious thing that maybe a few, well, hopefully only a few would miss. There are those who would claim to be very selfless and are actually very selfish. I think someone labeled them as narcissists of compassion. Something along those lines.
Recently I went to mexico and christianity is exploding down there and throughout mexico and central America. 3:29 Kinda like what you were talking about here.
You have to fast if you love Christ? First I've heard this, can someone trll me where that is scripturally? Also, what does fasting entail, & for how long? What is considered fasting, going without food & water? I do that every day for a while, so does that count? I doubt it, so what are the exact rules if this? I'd appreciate it if anyone can explain this to me. I have searched in fasting before, & i know the disciples did it, & others, but I never know the specifics, so i just don't do it because i don't know what exactly to do.
We fast (and pray while doing so) in order to get closer to God by humbling ourselves and denying our bodily needs to allow God to fill us. We allow his strength to shine through our weakness. What the bishop meant was that when we love Jesus, we will want to be closer to him. This will lead to us fasting. As he said, we don't fast as a rule that we have to follow, but something that naturally proceeds when we seek to obtain connection with God through sincere devotion.
Straight up, its a lot of punks in this world. Revelation clearly says many will follow the beast. Its really really hard for us humans to realize. God has it laid out for us in his word, but so many people want to deviate and make their own lane. So many really dont want the truth, because we should be positive. Positive is so good when needed but truth be told. Satan has tricked and decieved so many. Peace, love and Joy!!!!
Some people have put themselves and their perspectives over obeying the voice of God in their daily life & count themselves as sheep that dont have a shepard that they can hear& obey. their fruits show in their life & people around them arent trying to reproduce that kind of faith
I accepted Christ around 7. I only went to my Aunt or Uncle’s house for church and Bible study. My family left the babtist church because they were wrongly teaching that salvation depends on your works, not Grace alone. I grew up being able to see the hypocrisy of most brick & mortar churches. Jesus taught out in the open for ALL to hear. Church gets too comfortable and people start to believe that they are fixing something, working towards something. Spiritual growth should be happening everyday not just 1 day a week.
When Jesus says to die to myself what does that actually mean though? Does that mean to stop whatever I’m doing in terms of career and family and let go of my goals? I’m having a hard time understanding how to do this.
In the garden of Gethsemane Jesus prays to the Father because He knows his hour is near and in the prayer He says ”He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”“ Matthew 26:39 Notice when He ends His prayer He says not as I will, but as You will. This tells us exactly how we are to approach God in everything we do. Whether it is us choosing our career or choosing a husband or wife we need to take God in consideration first before we make a decision. To die to oneself is to submit to Christ and not yourself, and to be wholly obedient to God even when we don’t want to. Jesus, in all His majesty offers to help us as He says ”“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.“ John 15:5 If we abide and stay in Him, He will help us to die to ourself and therefore we can do His will because we are in Him. I hope that helps
It means that your career and goals s should not substitute God. Your career and goals should glorify God. You should Be able to let all of it go if God asks you but most importantly pray for the direction God wants you to go in your life. Ask for guidance.
u can still have goals and careers, but number1 is Jesus. before anything and through everything jesus has to be the centre. I'm also continuing maturing in this. to not set realities of this life.
Bro. Jesus simply meant that we let your own will, inspiration, and interest die. He meant to tell us to move by His inspiration toward His agenda, according to His will, and in the interest of His Kingdom, Name, and glory.
Just for future reference… less pausing and commentary man. It seems like it’s redirecting the light back to you for the show. Just less stuff like pausing in the middle of what they’re saying and going “he’s cooking” or shouting out in agreement. I think it’s better to let the video play and just listen until it’s over. You’ll still get views without the interruptions
My biggest issue with religion is the hypocritical and judgmental nature of the older people who practice. It really turned me away while I was younger, I found myself questioning a lot due to the ways I felt like I was looked down apon by elders.
Whats hypocritical about it? Everything against religion I found was hypocritical like the lgbt for example, they say it’s all about love yet they threatened to kill you and call you hitler if you against it.
No matter what background we come from, at some point in all of our lives we have been hypocrites. Your faith should be in God alone and not based off the actions of human beings. Even the greatest people on the planet will make mistakes. Hope that helps.
Same. When you are young but wise to the ways of the world, it is difficult to believe in what some old people people say about God or religion. When you know these are people, a lot of them are bad people, child rapists, criminals, hateful and horrible people preaching the bible to you it is ridiculous. It takes time to realize this is because good and evil is drawn to power. The biblical word gives power to those who speak it. I have finally learned that it is right to accept God but truly wrong to listen to a priest speak about the Bible and its teachings. Honestly, how could a priest ever know the word of God when priests don't live life as a man? No job, no children, no wife, no struggle. The church's have fallen from the word of Jesus not the other way. If you believe that church is the answer, you haven't listened to the words of Jesus. The house of God is within us all!
People went to church either out of fear, habit or because it was the “right thing to do”. That’s not motivating enough for younger generations. They want a spiritual experience and today’s churches can’t give that. The Pastors don’t know how.
Living in South Africa I can tell you the church is growing because in a country with a significant amount of problems, we rely on our God because there is no other option. The prosperity of America will be its downfall…
2:30 Just noticed something as you said this. Thinking about trajectory for the end of days, technology ahnd human advancement happened primarily on the west, in which now the word of God can reach more places around the world. But simultaneously, the west that developed so much has developed away from God. So the thing that majorly contributed to more people in the world to learn about Jesus, also simultaneously has pushed those of that culture away from him.
One thing thats happening, thats never reported, are the miracles, healings that are going on. Thats what we need more of. I love the big worship, screens, guitars, but we need to remember that Holy Spirit comes first. Revelation 3:1 I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
The message is not resonating because either 1)they are not of his flock or 2) the present message is a seed that will be watered in future times. The Christians job is to 1) repent and believe and 2) to preach the word to all nations and to set the believers an example in the way we live. not to convince people that it’s true. If they are His… they WILL follow him.
We need to stop saying young people are moving away from faith, they’re moving away from tradition. The west wasn’t filled with saints decades ago, it was filled with people who identified with the western Christian tradition. You cannot give your children what you don’t have. C.S. Lewis addressed this decades ago about even the 1900s. A generation that is raised to go to church but not taught to read the Bible will only see the church as a small building amongst skyscrapers. What I’ve seen in this generation of westerners are people who know Sunday school rhymes but can’t name the books that inspired them. This is a huge problem especially in the evangelical space, where a lot of youth who are intellectually starved and think Christianity is malnutrition because their parents are theirselves helpless.
4:22 It’s not so much the format and packaging, or the message itself, on why people are leaving the church. The reason why so many are leaving the church, is because the western hemisphere is dominated my materialism and materialism relies on things that can be seen. The Christian Journey, is a spiritual journey, as such, things of the spirit, have qualities of things that are not seen with the eyes 👀. In todays western culture, they make a mockery of faith and suggest that if it can’t be proven by science then it’s fairytales. The current culture is in conflict with Christian spirituality and The Abrahamic faith as a whole.
1 Corinthians 12:12-27 12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-Jews or Greeks, slaves[a] or free-and all were made to drink of one Spirit. 14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts,[b] yet one body. 21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. 27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
The only thing I would change about what the Bishop said was that you have to. I think he meant that your convicted to go to church and read the Bible. Therefore you get to read the Bible, you get to go to church. This getting to is what I would consider using the free will God gave us as Christians. When I do this because I love the Lord Jesus I will want to be obedient to God and therefore even when there are times that I may say or do something that others or even myself this makes no sense well it’s because you gave yourself to the Lord as a vessel to use and so he did .
Doom and gloom eschatology? He’s teaching the exact same thing Jesus taught . Careful bro, money starts making you change your view of what the Truth is slowly.

I resonate with George's statement: "...as soon as you bring up Jesus Christ, you get nailed. You get crucified."
It's one of the hardest things I've endured.

I hope this finds you well but must respectfully rebut:
I became a Christian 26 years ago and I've experienced what you mention(the hatred, etc.) when I "talk the talk".
His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 37 which includes passages like: "For those who are evil will be destroyed,
but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land" and "He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it." It seems clear to me this man is NOT a follower of the teachings of Christ as Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world.
So I ask an honest question, when you watch Christian political leaders and pundits and compare their words and actions with the actions and teachings of Christ, does it really seem to you that they are asking themselves, "What Would Jesus Do?"
🙏
Talk about being an inspiration to change, which goes back to your part on 'What would Jesus do?'
I agree with WWJD and the part about the speaker.
A couple of things:
Away from me, you evildoers!’"
I'm also reminded of a few things:
A. The quote, "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
B. Jesus did criticize, primarily those who publicly flaunted their religiousness. For example, as He said, "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others."
C. Many throughout history have believed themselves to be doing "God's work" here on earth. And many of them have committed heinous atrocities on those they believed deserved it.
I can only speak from my own experience, and my hope is not to be inflammatory with the things I've said here.
🙏
There's western Christianity and then there's Orthodox Christianity. There's levels to this game.

Proverbs 18:12 “Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honour.”
We are suppose to be humble.
That is not a Christian thing that is a quote for anybody to be humble before the Lord
Scripture also says the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and only the violent shall take it by force. I think that means to not let others walk over you in a sense. Humility and being a coward or a pushover are two different things.
@@wokeuparebeltvat least he gave chapter & verse. Just mentioning a paraphrase of some random, possibly out of context, or badly translated thought doesn't help, IMO
Turn the other cheek, & all of the other teachings about humbleness, meekness, etc throughout the new testament would have to be ignored, & it's usually to justify earthly, human pride, instead of living by God's Word's teachings. I finally realized that I used to twist many verses to justify my own behavior, because I didn't want to change deep inside, but eventually, hopefully, all of God's children will have eyes to see & ears to hear His word for what it truly says, & not what they want it to say.

With Jesus you don't have to do anything.. you get to and want to.

Hello sir, what do you mean by george had a doom and gloom eschatology, what would be an opposing eschatology to his?
I left the church because of the people who stayed.
In the garden of Gethsemane Jesus prays to the Father because He knows his hour is near and in the prayer He says ”He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”“
Matthew 26:39
Notice when He ends His prayer He says not as I will, but as You will.
He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.“
John 15:5
If we abide and stay in Him, He will help us to die to ourself and therefore we can do His will because we are in Him.
I hope that helps
It means that your career and goals s should not substitute God. Your career and goals should glorify God. You should
Be able to let all of it go if God asks you but most importantly pray for the direction God wants you to go in your life. Ask for guidance.

Bishop was close but Scripture says you should not have to. Ephesians 2:10 KJB Romans 6:4
4:22
It’s not so much the format and packaging, or the message itself, on why people are leaving the church.
The reason why so many are leaving the church, is because the western hemisphere is dominated my materialism and materialism relies on things that can be seen.

1 Corinthians 12:12-27
12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
