Just as Simeon, after encountering Jesus, "took him up in his arms and blessed God" (Luke 2:28 ESV), we seek to lead others in a life of stewardship, relevant engagement, and practical living that honors and blesses the Lord.

I have alot of respect for Vivek and would have voted for him. I am a believer in Christ and i quit looking at what religion a politician says he is because so many politicians use religion as an angle and so many have harmed the name of Christ with their actions (bill clinton said he was a southern baptist and Mike Pence claimed Christ and then proceeded to stab all his constituents in the back)

Truth be known, Trump is probably less a believer in Christ than Vivek. The only difference is culturally Trump identifies as a Christian and Vivek a Hindu. And vivek's version of Hinduism is monotheistic. And his knowledge of Scripture is deeper than most "christian" politicians. Praying Trump wins, picks Vivek as VP, and both become devoted believers in Christ. *Edited: I am not implying that Vivek is a believer. Many people seem to have misinterpreted my post. But thanks everyone for the vibrant discussion! Also, I should have said that Vivek has chosen to focus on the one supreme god aspect of Hinduism and not the many avatars which have resulted in idol worship in the religion.

Understanding deeply teachings of Bible doesn't make someone christian or more christian. Many atheists and historians study and understand Bible for various purposes. Even devil knows that Jesus is God and believes that. I'm christian because I'm forgiven for my sins through the death and resurrection of Jesus and not by how much knowledge I have on Bible. There may be someone who did phd in scripture and not saved yet but there could be someone repented and raised their hand at a church service when pastor asked and got saved.

3:58 Funny story Vivek shared about the guy who attended a church service & let the preacher know afterward how moving it was & how grateful he feels as he continues to process the message - and preacher said “I think you just liked the band.”
Like I said, I find that really humorous, but I don’t understand the preacher’s response, & that part kind of bothers me. His response seems to suggest it’s not right to come to church as a seeker. Rather, you’re already supposed to be fully on board before you even arrive. That makes no sense to me. Further, it seems to suggest that if you don’t “get it” by the end of the sermon then even your heartfelt reaction falls short & is somehow superficial. This approach, in my opinion, is intimidating & stifling. I don’t like it. The preacher strikes me as unwise in this aspect of his work.

0:37 This is the most disturbing part of everything he said. That churches will “soften” the message or how they pray in order to be more inclusive. That to me is heartbreaking and sad. It speaks to them having more of a fear of man than Fear of The Lord. God’s word does not need softening. If it is convicting, it’s for good reason and it is not our place to water it down for anyone’s feelings. Indians have conservative values, it's crucial to note that many Indians hold traditional beliefs like valuing nuclear families, modest dressing, and a strong work ethic. The decision to move to the U.S. often arises from the desire to escape the challenges posed by India's deep-rooted caste system, which makes it difficult for hardworking individuals to move up.
While it's unfortunate that some misuse the welfare system, this behavior is often a response to the widespread racism ingrained in the caste system. However, those who legally immigrate to the U.S. typically make significant contributions to society, embracing conservative values and displaying a strong work ethic.
Remarkably, some Indian immigrants actively engage in politics, as seen with individuals who financially support political campaigns. The majority of Indians are also entrepreneurs, playing a vital role in the business landscape and shaping American society.
