I’ve ordered the yarn to make 3 of these (each a different color pattern of the same yarn). The thing I love the most about Bonnie’s designs is the variety of stitches used. I tend to get bored easily with doing the same stitches endlessly. As a result, I often have too many projects on the hook at the same time. I also love that Bonnie has challenged me to learn and master some pretty difficult stitches. Thank you so much, Bonnie!
I’m now on my second Abigail blanket and it’s so much fun! When I first ordered the yarn, they were out of Diagon Alley, so I got two other pastels - enough for 4 blankets! I finished the first one and then saw another sale that had Diagon Alley. So I got 4 cakes. I’m half way through the first one. I’ll sure be prepared for any babies that come along!
18 months ago when I first started crocheting after a knee injury, the first thing I made was one of your shawls. It turned out beautifully thanks to your clear & concise instructions. I've been hooked ever since! My niece is having her first baby and I'm thinking this will be perfect for her. Thank you so much for sharing for talent 🙏✨️
Bonnie , what a beautiful blanket. Love the color way. I think I actually have this yarn. Thank you for the tutorial. You always make beautiful blankets. Have a beautiful day. Donna 😊
I just found your channel & I love it!! Can’t wait to start the one made with Bloom & only takes about 4 hours. I am sure I am going to enjoy your channel. Ty.
Been following you for a while. Found your crochet difficult, but, I didn’t give up, oh, ok, on a few. Still learning. Had to tune in and concentrate! AND! Just love the beauty in your crochet! it’s funny how I’ll have a question, and you just answer it! Your an awesome teacher! TY! I’ve learned new stitches! It’s exciting. Bless you truly! Amen.
Thank you Teressa! You are proving my theory correct: Crocheters are every bit as smart as knitters, and perhaps even smarter! I so tired of those overly simplistic crochet designs in publication for decades while the knitters get all the fun stuff. Welcome to my world!
I find watching her video first, then try to follow along the second time is more helpful. At least watch the hard rows a few times before I start. I used a laptop screen to see this better, and it worked out so well this time. ❤
Bonnie that is absolutely awesome. I've always wanted to try the Celtics weave but it was to daunting for this 74 yr old brain . Watching this tutorial you went so slow that I could actually picture myself doing it. Thank you so much. Can't wait to try it. Have a beautiful day and a Happy Easter next week . Stay safe. 😊🐇🐰🙏🏻♥️🥰💐🧶🌼🧶🌺🧶
I made up nine of these as giant granny squares to join with Continuous Join As You Go after the first round of solid DC after the Celtic Weave, with a solid crochet intermediary border, in Pumpkin Spice by Pound of Love with a 5.5 hook. I am coming back to it now to finish up with the eyelet edging, if the math works. I adore this pattern and am so thankful you posted such a detailed video.
Crocheting your creations is a pleasure. With several different stitches, the result is amazing. And it’s so easy and pleasant to learn with you. Thank you for sharing your passion and expertise with us.
Loved the Celtic Weave stitch, I have not seen this before!!!!. Something I will incorporate into my next project. Thank you for an excellent tutorial.
This is the most beautiful crocheted blanket I’ve seen . Your voice is so pleasant and calming to listen to. I understand how to make the Arrow and Celtic Weave stitches , but I don’t know if I’d have the dexterity to crochet them. I’m just turned 83 .😇🌸🙏
Bonnie, what a beautiful blanket! I am about to start making baby blankets for a charity dear to my heart locally. I will have them ready to give at Christmas. So excited to get started, thank you for such a lovely blanket!
Thank You for giving us this tutorial. I love it and the black background for Me anyway, makes it so much easier for Me to see the work. I’m so glad I found your post! 💕
I had to make this as I loved the Abigail shawl. Made a beautiful baby blanket out of ice cream yarn that will be a heirloom for a family member. Thanks for making something that looks hard seem easy.
Just finished mine in Ice Cream Yarn; 3 days & done! (Including a few blunders & silly frog-fests!) I’d suggest longer, more blended colour transitions than my yarn has, if you prefer full rounds not looking chopped up color-wise. It’s soft & very pretty. In my case, the eyelet round needed 4 ch to show nicely & 3 in the corners look really cute! It lays perfectly flat. TY Bonnie! It’s a lovely pattern & I finally conquered the Celtic! I’m thinking of doing one with solids on the textures & variegated on the DC’s; love playing with colour!
Very beautiful blanket! You make it look so easy that even I can do it. I'm not a natural at crocheting like my mother was but I certainly try. Thanks for being such a good teacher. ❤
How wonderful, I just ordered a LOT of yarn and will start on this one, as soon as the yarn arrives. Thank you so much for all your wonderful Video Tutorials.

So glad you enjoyed this one! Sending a hug back to you from Maryland! Incipiently, I spent my honeymoon year in Andover, MA back in 1988! Sweet memories!
Just finished this beautiful blanket for my grandson due in August. Saw this tutorial and wanted to get a jump start! I used the Mandala Baby in Wishing Well. I ended up needing a 3rd cake but just enough for the eyelet trim. Thank you Bonnie for this great tutorial!
I actually have the same yarn in the same colorway I found in my stash, and started this beauty tonight. Thank you so much for the wonderful and beautiful pattern!
Beautiful! Started this last night, I love the Celtic weave stitch, it's in the top 5 of my favorite stitches. Making a baby blanket then an adult! Thanks for the tutorial. Have a blessed day!
Hi Bonnie, I found this video last month, I’m using the same yarn as you, I’m having so much fun creating this beautiful blanket for my cousin’s baby. Thank you for such an amazing pattern ❤
This is absolutely beautiful!💖 I just finished a rectangle granny baby blanket and was wondering what to make next. This is the one! I have the same yarn and am going to start it today. Thank you for a such a beautiful stunning baby blanket!🤗 God's blessings to you and your family 🙏🏻🤗💖
I’m on my second one. So beautiful. But row 2 of the Celtic weave is real bugger to learn. The second one I’m trying in one solid color… I think it has enough texture to shine. Thank you for the lesson. 😊
You have such beautiful patterns. Several years ago I saw someone on tv single crochet on one side and it created two lines on the other side. I used it in a hat which made great division between patterns. I can't remember how it is done and I've searched everywhere for it. Does this ring a bell for you? Have a blessed Easter. He is risen
What a stunning blanket and the tutorial is so good and very clear. Well, I raided my stash and the only yarn I think I have enough of is Robin Paintbox DK, so I have started my blanket. I am doing the Celtic Weave round now. So far it's looking really good. Watch this space!!! lol Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent and time, it's very much appreciated.
@@BonnieBayCrochet It's working up lovely. I have never done arrow stitch or celtic weave before. @@BonnieBayCrochet thank you so much Bonnie! ❤ I’ve never crocheted something like this before (the back post treble crochets with the reverse Celtic weave stitch are the hardest for me but I’m not giving up) I’ve only been crocheting since October but this is a great challenge :)

So going forward, I found this was easier for me. On the corners, I chained one in the last stitch, then slip stitch into the corner, and then chain two, one double, chained two, then another two doubles. On the fifth round I skipped the first stitch, then double crochet the next Three, then triple back to the first chain. It was easier to find the holes when I did this and it evens out the same. Not sure if this makes sense, but it looks the same
I would highly suggest watching the post stich parts at least twice on a big computer screen, and dont try to follow along as you go, because its very hard to understand how the stitches work if you dont watch first.
