    Very well explained! Would be great if you show the steps from reverse, when the top is on and you want to lower it down.

    how do you keep the tonneau cover locked with the top down so the wind doesn't get under it and lift it up?

      Boris drilled a small hole through the tonneau and the metal on the body near the rear seat. He then used a thumb screw to hold the tonneau down.

      Sold the E36 but may be can do one on the E46 convertible.

    I did this until the screw stripped in mine. I think I was using a bit a tad smaller than needed. Any solutions?

      Buy replacement stuff online or check pick a part junkyards for parts. GL!
