And this side B of Music to Be Murdered By was released on Billy Eilish's birthday, with Alfred's Theme as first actual song ("Black Magic" serves more as a musical intro). So the "happy birthday" skit is likely a double. I hope they'll collab soon!
yessir released on her birthday which is also my birthday so being a stan since I was lik 13, now 35. best birthday present I ever got in my life was a surprise album from your favorite rapper.
I've noticed that you often get caught up with who the song is about. Many of his songs, like this one, aren't written towards a specific purpose. Often they are towards critics, haters, or people that oppose him in general. Sometimes it's just for the sake of music. I really hope that helps and I hope you see this!
Yeah, not every song is a diss track, but he at least he still checked the box on poking at MGK yet again (l’m Diddy’s side-b*tch/I’m still East-Side, b*tch) 😆
The real fans don’t care if you pause 100 times this is a 38 minute video and I watched every second of it. We’re here for your reaction man most of us have already heard the music and are here to see your reaction and it’s great ! Loved this video and how you catch so many doubles and details in his music
the only real annoyance is stopping 100 times to analyze the meaning of a punchline before hearing all of the line or even stanza. he either explains what he meant right away, or at least you have the complete frame of reference first. particularly with lyric videos released by Em, cause it's written right there.
I love how many reactors back when the album dropped called this beat bad or "mid" because they had no idea the "Alfred's Theme" beat was literally using the theme song from Hitchcock's TV show and turning it into a rap instrumental/beat.
When Eminem isn't calling out people individually he's mostly talking about the industry in general. Or about the media. They're saying he's washed up, they're saying he puts out trash. If he's just venting he's talking about the world that large. People that are against him his enemies in general
Only Em could Rap on a beat like dis and it’s self produced as well but speaking on the context of the track ~ Alfred’s Theme is about the changes in Em’s life before and after the fame, flexes about his rapping skills, lyrical abilities and also mentions the coronavirus outbreak and its effects on his life. The beat is sampled from the theme music of the TV show “Alfred Hitchcock presents”, originating from Gounod - Funeral March of a Marionette🙆🏽♂️✍🏽🐐🔥🎯💯#SlimShadyForever (Btw the reason Em mentioned Billie Eillish is cause in a Interview about a year or two ago she mentioned Eminem’s music when she was younger use to give her nightmares which is why Em said “I’m Giving Nightmares To Billie Eillish” He’s a Genius and is very aware also the Happy Birthday segment within the track was a Easter Egg you’ll never know unless you dig/do your research but he did dat cause this track dropped on Billie’s Birthday lol Em PETTY!!!!! Please React to Eminem “3AM” Music Video it’s from the same album as well or React to Eminem Ft. Kid Cudi “The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady” Lyric Video) BTW THANKS FOR THE SHOUTOUT I’M SO SURPRISED MY REQUEST GOT PICKED!
Not only that; Billie said she prefered "childish cambino" because Em scared her... and Em said "I'm really CHILDISH, I'm giving nightmares to Billie Eilish"😂😂
Love the Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady!!! But then, I’m a big Cudi fan! The amount of hate some of the reactors had to Cudi’s verse was really sad!
“Giving them the Business-EPMD” EPMD was a 80’s-90’s rap group that have multiple albums referring to business. He holds them in high regard. MMLP= Marshal Mathers LP MTBMB = is the acronym for his album this song came from. Music to be murdered by.
Outside of the obvious thank you for Chris for doing these reactions and sharing his time to entertain us, I want to say thank you to everyone in this channel that helps explain Em's stuff. Not just for Chris, but for anyone else who misses stuff too. You guys are the MVP
Don't be sorry for pausing so much. I'm so proud that you are catching so many more of the bars. I think he's talking about his critics in general in this song. Also, he's referring to Marshal Mathers LP and most recent "Music to be Murdered By" album. Keep it up, great job. 👍🏽
The man spits hieroglyphs. With a lyric video, that has the visuals it’s still gonna take generations to decipher all the meanings behind these bars. 🐐
If we can't handle the pauses and the amazing attention to detail, we will just listen the original song. You are big part of the reason, we are all here watching ;) Keep up the amazing work, i should be asleep but had to watch this b4 bed
PS I asked you on the last live to check out the fan-made Godzilla video that resulted in the fan (Randy Chriz) getting to animate an official Eminem video (Tone Deaf)!! Here’s the Godzilla link: ruclips.net/video/49OY0kV0n_M/видео.html
You did very well with the breakdown - especially given it was your first listen, this was not the easiest song to take in. It wasn't a diss to Billy - she'd said in an interview that Em scared the life out of her when she was young. He actually sent food to her and her team from his restaurant 'Mom' Spaghetti' when she did a concert in Detroit quite recently.
You're getting alot better at picking up bars and kudos for that! one thing I would recommend particularly with Em is to let the song play a little longer before pausing it to try and work out his doubles for example the cyclops one, if you had let it play a few seconds longer it essentially explains itself and Em does that quite a bit. Keep the great work coming! Much love from Australia
I agree, sometimes Em won't end the thought until 2-3 bars later and if you don't hear them together they make no sense. But at the same time I am 43, I have been listening to Em since Infinite, Chris is new and trying to play catch up.
For me you are a sincere source of happiness. you are so pure and natural, I even feel it through the community and the comments offered, you have a very good place on youtube. it's especially nice to see reactions to Eminem outside of this culture of comparison, race of who is the best and how much he smashes other rappers etc etc. thank you to you and all those who create the healthy comment space
I don't mind the pausing at all. I enjoy your reactions. They allow me to experience these great songs all over again. Really fun watching you react in the same way that we did when we first heard these songs. That's one thing I love about rap. You have to pause and go back "wait wait wait, what did he just say???" That's how we would always listen to these songs when they first came out. It's fun! Thank you so much!
MMLP to MTBMB is Marshall Mathers LP (his second major studio album) to Music to be Murdered By (this album, his last album). So you had it right. Basically from the beginning of his career to the present. He's not dissing or going after Billie Eilish, she just said in an interview that she was terrified of Eminem. Great reaction! You are getting so good at catching bars!
I don't mind the pauses 🤣 I've listened to Em since 2003 and I love all his work so if I wanted to listen to the song then I would do so without other people's reactions 🤣 I'm here because I enjoy seeing others react to his music for the first time so the more pauses the better as I get to see your genuine reaction and hear your thoughts on it.. Keep up the great reaction's, it's much appreciated 👌✌️
The Billie Eilish thing is that she was asked in an interview if she listened to Eminem growing up and she said no because he used to scare her as a kid lol
Honestly your amount of pausing is just perfect, Larry. Don't worry about it. The people who complain about the pausing first of all don't understand how Eminem's song literally require you to pause and go back and second of all how complicated it is with copyright issues, etc. Basically, ignorant. Also, it is definitely an issue with RUclips! Pretty much all other reactors have dozens of reactions copyright striked and/or removed too. Side note... You're definitely improving on catching dem bars. You're doing great.
This is why people study Em's lyrics. He's just different. Trying to catch everything will just make your head explode. Anyways, great job mate. Really enjoy the reaction videos, Love from the UK.
Man I’m so proud of you! You caught so much in this song which is basically THE double and triple song. There were some bars that you caught right away that I’ve seen some lifelong rap fans takes minutes to try to figure out. Your journey and improvement has been amazing. Also don’t worry about pausing at all I much prefer pausing a lot and trying to figure out the bars or meaning behind lyrics than some reactors who pause Only a few times and just give thoughts on the song at the end.
Diddy is MGK's manager essentially, and Diddy gave MGK permission to go after Eminem in his diss track "Rap Devil". after that he keeps randomly mocking that Diddy is Em's superior with little skits like this 20:24 . hopefully this helps you understand the reference. Also, great content, keep up the good work ;)
Exactly. Plus “I’m still East-Side, b*tch.” hammers it home. It’s referencing MGK’s “Till I Die” track where he goes off about being “On the East-Side till I die”.
This is my number one favourite song of Eminem ❤. I haven't heard anything bar-heavy as this. Many other aspects, like contrasting beat, bars being understandable to all people, catents being controlled and well enunciated as usual, the levels of rhymes and the depth of wordplay at various classes, just out of the world.
@31:30 Great reaction. Here when he says “pop the trunk” its a reference to the fact that gang members keep their biggest guns in the trunk of the car because they can’t conceal them. So he’s saying even if you shot a tree you wouldn’t pop the trunk. Very unique spin on a common rap phrase.
While you're certainly the adult here, seeing you catch so many of entendres and nuances within the song, I feel like a proud parent. And I just have to say that no matter how many times I listen to this record, that bowling scheme never ceases to amaze me.
Been watching your videos for a few weeks now. Its been both heartwarming and hilarious following your journey into unknown waters. Keep up the great work and God bless you and yours!
I love your getting better at catching the bars and even the triple and I appreciate that your videos are longer because you know when reactors only listen to eminem because he makes views on the channel and a 4 minute song is a 5 minute video witch means they didn't do anything but sit there with arm's crossed so that's why people love your videos because your honest with what you see and reactions and we see you learning Also don't forget batsman's Alfred as well
Thank you for bringing us this great content Chris, enjoying every minute of it. :) Also, I'm really happy the Billie reference was just good fun, because I like them both as well, haha.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I told you a while back when someone suggested this song that there are going to be so many layers to peel back it will take months to decipher. Don't worry, I'm still figuring it out too LOL
No more pausing apologizing Chris! If we wanted the song on its own, it’s on here. We watch you for your thoughtful, mindful reactions. I don’t even like this song but I like and appreciate your reaction.
Hey, I recommended this for ya! You’ll have to listen to this or with lyrics 1,000 times to even catch 80% of the bars/doubles/punchlines! It took Knox Hill over an hour to react to this and he missed sooo many things. In fact I bet, there’s not a single person in the world that caught EVERYTHING, except EM.. Go Larry!
This is all just surface level bars. After the Revival "flop" Eminem dumbed down his lyricism so everyone can catch bars. But when it comes to his most complex lyrics ever, there are multiple candidates, but the crown probably goes to Bad Meets Evil - All I Think About.
Eminem has so many layers that even the most hardcore fans miss. Seeing these reactions are fantastic because sometimes u can catch something others missed. Plus most of these songs hit different depending on the time of our lives.
It is awesome to see how much you've progressed since the beginning. You're catching sooo many compared to the beginning g. You were having a hard time understanding WHAT he was saying in the beginning. Now you're catching bars left and right. It's awesome to see and reminds me of the times I first learned/figured it out. It's so fun to watch and I love your content. Also, nobody catches this one but it's one of my favorite bars. "Sour grapes I still whine, I'm the best seller" Sour Grapes is a documentary from 2016 about a wine fraudster named Rudy Kurniawan. He sold new wine as old wine basically. Befriended rich people, convinced them he has very old and rare wines and sold them for tons of money. "I still whine" sounds like "I steal wine" "Best seller" he sold tons of albums...but also "Best cellar"
Em is legit THE GOAT. His knowledge and respect for HIP/HIP is unquestionable! You could see he is a kid when it comes to RAP...his love for the game...There is no higher praise than for someone to come into your house and take the time to appreciate the history and those who came before him, and then to do it his way. RESPECT to Marshall. I'm truly thankful and blessed to still be hearing GREAT music from this man.
I think the pausing complaint is, they are basically say to let the song play out a little bit more between the pauses, because Em does a lot of setting up for his punchlines and sometimes you, (unknowingly) pause it one line too soon right before he strings everything together. I like the pausing. Just a word of advice. Love the reactions!
He's talking about you, other RUclips reaction channels, and anyone else hating on him and his lyrics. Not saying you're hating on him but lots of reaction channels do.
I am not a native speaker so its sometimes realy challenging listening to Em and you teaching me things that i would miss. Nice future prediction/catch!!👍 Thank you and keep going🤙
You hit the nail on the head, this is ART! SO PAUSE AWAY! take it in this is your journey and every fan/stan whos here watching has had there journey through ems discography and have either heard this a 1000x like me to not have to pause, or they also paused... either way shhh this man has learned in 1 year than most "stans" ever will 🔥 P.S im back... chris webby "our planet" please Sir 👊👌
Too many comments so anything I wanted to help you with was probably coveted. But... You picked up way more doubles than expected, nicely done. Best advice I can share is to get in the habit of pausing at natural line breaks usually after 4 lines/2 couplets, to help you see the picture being painted. Quite a few times you were trying to figure out a line paused right before the punch (& worked out where he was going with it too).
The dog barking is literally the best line in this album they call him the dog because he's not barking because he is the bar king, king of lyrics Best there ever is ever was or ever will be
Can't wait to get home from work and watch this!!🤩 I'm finally watching this!! Love your reaction to pieces:)))) i love what Em's brain and genius does to you:))) that excitement and happiness once you've caught the bar, then immediately that "giving up" or "in denial" sigh:))) like are you serious, how does he do it.. :))))
This is a song where em basically answered every one who criticized him and did it with such crazy word play to show no one's on his level literally every rhyme was something someone said about him and the word play is his answer to them it's a crazy song if you understand all the references! Elite level writing and rapping 👌
When he washing his hands at the mid point of the song that entire interlude has multiple meanings. The happy birthday song is sung when washing your hands obviously but the album this song was on came out on the anniversary of Alfred Hitchcocks original “Music to be Murdered By” AND Billie Eilish’s birthday leading up to the funny bar about giving her nightmares. Billie is also has irish heritage which explains the lines about sipping wild irish!! I love this song to death!!
Also it was not a diss towards Billie but a friendly joke. FINNEAS (Billies brother) and Em are actually friends and billie respects em as an artist. She was scared of him growing up but all is good between them now. I’m a huge fan of both em and billie so I loved this back and forth :)
I’m dying laughing almost peed on myself. Spit out my drink. BUT THANK YOU I NEEDED IT!!! I’m at time stamp 26:30 and your reaction. HE CAN PAINT A PERFECT MENTAL PICTURE LIKE Picasso or Rembrandt WITH HIS WORDS. It’s something to MARVEL at LITERALLY WITH YOUR JAW OPEN. And in a trance. Seriously. NO ONE can give us EVERY SINGLE FORM OF MUSIC FOR EVERY SINGLE MOOD AND WITH HIS STORY HIS HUMOR ETC. And oh the DIDDY reference followed by DRE IS HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE OPPONENTS!!!!!!! He did that BUT the humor was the punch. You not being familiar with ANYTHING PRETTY MUCH EXCEPT their names DOESN’T KNOW all the bad blood back in the day!!! And why the DIDDY line in MGK KILLSHOT about Tupac. You REALLY REALLY NEED THE YEARS AND NURSING SCHOOL TEXTBOOKS to REALLY get that. But imagine 2 top tier producers that sometime rap BUT MUSIC PRODUCTION is their main way of life.....equivalent to 2 top tier basketball rivals who now are older and can get along and be in an interview together or something like on ESPN I’m going to use these 2 as an example (not the best just my brain is fried from today and tonight already so I’m trying to compare time frames at their peak) BUT Michael Jordan competing against Shaquille O’Neal when he was with the lakers and Kobe had gotten a year or 2 under his belt. I can’t say Kobe against Jordan BECAUSE they actually were friends OFF the court after the respect. DRE AND DIDDY AND THEIR CREWS well that was when all the murders were going down between the east side and west side and why Eminem references “I’m East side b!tch”......cause for Em to go work with Dre WAS HUGE HUGE HUGE that didn’t happen with east coast and west back then. And why so many songs back them Eminem states EVERYTHING
I've never heard going 'back over music again' quite put like that, but you're exactly right it does feel like Christmas when you go back and find something new that you missed before.
Thought we lost you about halfway through 😂 You about fell out of your chair! And yeah this was like he just threw every bar from a whole notebook onto one song for fun 😁
Billie Eilish had an interview where Eminem was brought up, and she said that as a child she was terrified of him.
And this side B of Music to Be Murdered By was released on Billy Eilish's birthday, with Alfred's Theme as first actual song ("Black Magic" serves more as a musical intro). So the "happy birthday" skit is likely a double. I hope they'll collab soon!
They asked her if she preferred Childish Gambino or Eminem..she said Childish cuz Eminem scared her as a child..which makes Eminems bar even deeper
Yeah and song dropped/album was relised on her birthday so when he sang the happy birthday was for her too
yessir released on her birthday which is also my birthday so being a stan since I was lik 13, now 35. best birthday present I ever got in my life was a surprise album from your favorite rapper.
He delivered his ‘Moms Spaghetti’ to Billie Eilish & her brother Finneas when she came to Detroit for her show which they posted on their story
I've noticed that you often get caught up with who the song is about. Many of his songs, like this one, aren't written towards a specific purpose. Often they are towards critics, haters, or people that oppose him in general. Sometimes it's just for the sake of music. I really hope that helps and I hope you see this!
Yeah, and usually when he's talking to someone specific, he clearly makes it known. :)
@@eXtotheZee Yup. From Not Alike, "I don't use sublims and sure as fuck don't sneak-diss"
Yeah, not every song is a diss track, but he at least he still checked the box on poking at MGK yet again (l’m Diddy’s side-b*tch/I’m still East-Side, b*tch) 😆
This song is about the music game/ industry and how his music will kill the crap that comes out today
@@z28burnout Yea thats one of EM's lines where he was straight capping mans does use sublims and sneak disses Recovery was full of them

Agreed. We don’t watch these vids to see the song uninterrupted. It’s fun seeing your reaction!

The best thing about Alfred’s theme is that it uses Alfred’s theme as the beat
Or maybe the best part of it is that it's one of his most lyrical songs......
@@ChrisTopher-ek6rr this
I love how many reactors back when the album dropped called this beat bad or "mid" because they had no idea the "Alfred's Theme" beat was literally using the theme song from Hitchcock's TV show and turning it into a rap instrumental/beat.
It’s a masterpiece
That bowling scheme was immaculate! Loved the reaction as usual!
Thanks Riley!

Dont feel bad about pausing, we're here to watch you and your reaction if we want an undisturbed version we can just go listen to the actual track
right on
I'm here for the pauses!!! And your commentary, of course!! Don't apologize!!

Great vid as always! You should react to his interviews or other celebrities talking about him.
for your information... its just a song towards the haters.. not a specific person.
Been watching your videos for a few weeks now. Its been both heartwarming and hilarious following your journey into unknown waters. Keep up the great work and God bless you and yours!
Thanks so much!
I love your getting better at catching the bars and even the triple and I appreciate that your videos are longer because you know when reactors only listen to eminem because he makes views on the channel and a 4 minute song is a 5 minute video witch means they didn't do anything but sit there with arm's crossed so that's why people love your videos because your honest with what you see and reactions and we see you learning
Also don't forget batsman's Alfred as well
Also, I love your reactions to the G.O.A.T., keep up the good work.
At this point in his career he’s just having fun🤩
This is hillarious🤣 love your content Mr Chris :)
Thanks Catherine!
I swear every time I watch his videos it’s like I’m watching Ned Flanders do reactions it’s so awesome 😂
Another great reaction!
Don't worry, I'm still figuring it out too LOL
lol, nice! I love that about his music in finding out more meanings to bars on repeat listens!
@@larryshair me too ❤️❤️
You caught a bar I never did! "Bars that never SLACK"! HOLY CRAP MAN!! GOOD ON YOU!
lol, thanks MM!
I'm watching this after a VERY long day at work. Great day to end the day.
Thanks so much! Glad to bring you a little enjoyment!
Go Larry!
Thanks Chris!
LMAO _ THAT *THUMP* FOR THE FRACTURED JAW* + JACKET OFF WAS SOOO GREAT LMAO 🤣 😂 😆 sorry for the caps lol that got me
It is awesome to see how much you've progressed since the beginning.
"Sour grapes I still whine, I'm the best seller"
Sour Grapes is a documentary from 2016 about a wine fraudster named Rudy Kurniawan. He sold new wine as old wine basically. Befriended rich people, convinced them he has very old and rare wines and sold them for tons of money.
"I still whine" sounds like "I steal wine"
"Best seller" he sold tons of albums...but also "Best cellar"
Nice! Thanks for the comments and the back story!
@@larryshair My pleasure!
Been looking forward to this one!!
💯💯
YES!!
The song is from MTBMB (musci to be murer by) the latest album with the theme of Alfred Hitchcock the original creator of MTBMB
Much love from Kenya🔥
I thoroughly enjoyed this reaction. Fun reaction. Cheers from NZ 🇳🇿
Thanks so much! Blessings to you!
Thanks so much!
He’s going after his Haters btw good sir. Not anyone in particular.
The "cleanliness is next to godliness" bar is a perfect example of what you should do in my humble opinion!
The dog barking is literally the best line in this album they call him the dog because he's not barking because he is the bar king, king of lyrics Best there ever is ever was or ever will be
I actually enjoy that you pause bc people tend to miss what Eminem is painting in his music.
When you know the song and keep yelling to keep playing the next line.
I watched all your videos of Eminem and i definitely enjoy them ! Do (No love) next ! If you haven't!
Who else needs to see Eminem react to these reactions of him 🙋🏻♀️
Can you imagine?
40MIN REACTION!? LETS GOOOOOOOOO THANK YOU. Love your EM journey
Can't wait to get home from work and watch this!!🤩
I'm finally watching this!!
It is art
These dogs are barking, but I am bar King LOL beautifully done
I've never heard going 'back over music again' quite put like that, but you're exactly right it does feel like Christmas when you go back and find something new that you missed before.
MMLP is Marshal Mathers LP, and MTBMB is "Music to be murdered by", one of his first and MTBMB, his most recent ones
MMLP refers to one of his earliest albums, Marshall Mathers LP, MTBMB is the name of the Album this song is apart of, Music to be Murdered By.
Thought we lost you about halfway through 😂 You about fell out of your chair! And yeah this was like he just threw every bar from a whole notebook onto one song for fun 😁
And Em threw every bar from his notebook again with Book of Rhymes
Vegas is another great song that is all bars like this
Respect 👏. 💐 💐 💐 To the Greatest 👑 🐐. 🤘🏻
One of my favorite triples.."you got me stiff as a statue, sitting on a shelf, I feel like imma bust, I guess I'm just ahead "a head of myself
it's actually a double tho
