I've been spraying lawns and insects and diseases for the last 4 years. I've been debating on getting my structural pest control license the last 2 years and finally moved forward with it, I already have most of the equipment and passed my exams just waiting on my license now, but your videos have added a lot of knowledge to me. great videos, can't wait to see more.
Alpine WSG and teko pro mixed together will completely obliterate roaches. Non-repellant transfer kill and an IGR. I do tons of roaches down here in south/central Texas. Cheers 🍻
Yeah I've heard great things about both those products, although we don't use them at our company, we mainly rely on gentrol and transport as the main treatment products. Thanks for watching!
Hey Dan good video! Just a few suggestions. Nitrile gloves while handling "products" or chemical as you call it, shoe covers or a different pair of shoes while entering a customer's home instead of the ones you wear outside and under houses. If an agricultural inspector stopped you chances are there would be a fine or warning for wearing shorts while spraying insecticide. Pants, tucked in shirt and not a backwards hat makes you look more professional as well. Not trying to be mean just some advice from a customer service business owner myself.
Thanks! We use Briostack, a company out of Utah. I’ve had mostly good experience so far. It has everything you could ask for for a pest control software

Another great option is pest pac. Very powerful software and does more than many of us utilize. It’s the largest used software. Pretty un user friendly. Lists of frustrations and my brother has to manually create a lot of stuff custom. The WDO stuff has been the most annoying. The routing and tracking metrics are great though. Gain loss reports, tech production reports, call back per tech/pest ect all all available and more. The dashboards are customizable too. Unfortunately the system is not user friendly AT ALL and some stuff takes hours to program. However we are in active talks with field routes at moving over to their software. For us (smallish) 1000+ reoccurring services that is a decent investment so we are serious about investing into software that is better for our our team.
Im not sure what state ypu are in but here in South Carolina they are strict and i am in the pest control business and have my cat 7a structural pest control license and cat3 ornamental and turf license and its the law for us to wear pants at all times, we must wear boots on the outside and shoes with shoebees on the inside. When we do termite jobs it around $1500+ for a regular size home and a mono slab and we have to trench every inch and crawl spaces we have to trench the entire inside foundation wall and exterior wall and drill every pier and all expansion joints and i stall access panels inside home. On quarterly services i use a 100 gallon rig and spray around 15 to 20 gallons per house and a half gallon goes inside home. Itscrazy how different states work.

When you’re using that rod I guarantee you the chemical is not dispersing enough which is why you need to use a trench Rodding is mainly for areas you can’t trench like heavy foliage or vines You can rod an ant hill for example but rodding dry grass / ground does almost nothing
@@highfeelz Viking pest And arrow pest are ones you should try to apply to Also theres hometeam pest defense but I don’t think they’re in Jersey Also I would make sure they don’t see your RUclips channel if you apply 💨
Dan you need a trench and that wall needed about 20 gallons..looks like you applied 3 gallons. And that crawlspace spray and pray wasn't effective be careful what you are doing on video
You could make more money doing exclusion for the mice poison creates the possibility of a secondary poisoning to non-tatget species. And you to to learn about IPM sparying baseboards is a waste of time and product
Screen crawlspace vents with 1/4 inch hardware cloth you can charge $20 a vent or replace with Temp vents for $70-80 per vent installed. Then find any utility entry such as gas lines and ac line sets and seal with steel wool and silicone or if the gap is to big low expanding foam. At the gutters seal with galvanized steel flashing to close any builders gaps & screen gable vents with 1/4" hardware cloth you can get about $75 a gable vent. Seal any soffit returns (converging roof lines) if you get on a roof please use rope and harness. Set traps appropriate for the animal and monitor for 4 weeks. If you provide that level of detail you can typically a full wildlife exclusion is $1500+ most exclusion work takes 2+ hrs of work
is this money your actually making or is the amount of money the over all jobs are when your done? i just started as a Pest Control tech but we get paid salary.

Thanks!! Looking back at my old videos is so cringy haha
Great video. We just opened a pest control franchise and these videos help a lot. Thanks.
Thanks!! Awesome, good luck!
What franchise did you go with? Looking at Safer & PestMaster/ Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks, Hamp
Awww! Great video. Thanks for taking us along for the sprayathon!!!
Thanks for joining!! Haha I like “sprayathon”
Your vid’s are pure gold Dan. Be thankful you seem to operate in very relaxed conditions. A lot of this stuff wouldn’t fly in other places.
Love these videos I’m a Pest controller In New South Wales Australia and love seeing these types of videos keep up the good work
Wow, that's impressive! As someone who's dealt with pests before, I understand the hard work and expertise required. Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much!

@@DanTheBugMan No worries man, love the channel.
Keep up the good work 👍.
Seeing you spray with no PPE or long sleeves shows we live in very different states haha I’m jealous man we sweat it out like crazy out here in Cali
Haha yeah I’ve heard they are strict in Cali. But also we are suppose to wear long sleeves here but I refuse when it’s 100+ heat index
Can vouch for its Orkin we have long sleeve uniforms, ppe and eye wear.
I was thinking if you have branch 3 license to to termite work ? If not how you do that ?
Are you branch 2 and 3 ?
I was going to say the same thing! I wish I could be in shorts and a short sleeve.. Cali is strict and it's been so hot this summer 😒

And a respirator while in crawlspaces. Protects from inhaling spores, mold, fiberglass from insulation, etc.
Thank you!! I agree with all that. A lot of it is just me being lazy haha
This is why I became a pest control technician, been doing this for about 6 years now, im 7a and 7b certified, I really should work for myself, lol
Good video! It's cool to watch fellow techs work 😎
For ants, i would apply ant bait inside where ants are present. And spray Termidor SC around the perimeter of home. Works great for me
Agreed.
Do you spray before applying the bait?
Hi Dan, I love your videos. Can you do one on Cave Crickets you mentioned? Thanks, Mikey
Thanks! Looks like you found the cave cricket one
Great video man! What software do you guys run for routing and CRM? Thanks
I'm wondering the same thing Dan...what software you use?

On that follow up roach, you should have placed all bait inside those cabinet areas.
Yeah that’s a good point
really cool video, appreciate you trying to say "dan the bug man"
Thanks! Haha it was funny for me to say. That last guy gave a good laugh when I said it
How do you know the rod isn't getting clogged? I am wondering also why you didn't dig a trench.
Lazy way

I just started a new job as a PCT.....its only been a couple weeks...but a decent paying job....if you can take the bugs....its not a bad gig
Dan Dan The Best Bug Guy
:)
Just wondering what products you use so that you don’t have to have PPE my dude?
Can u please make a video on carpenter bees?? Especially in high areas outside? Thanks!
I did on another video on my channel!
What product do you use that doesn’t require PPE?
Are you familiar with HPE technology?
Me watching video: *screams in California Ag inspector*, way more regs over here lol.
Haha yes that’s what I’ve heard! (Also I might be skipping over a couple rules 🫢)
Bro you a gangster man lmao how do you deal with mice/rats if you come in contact with them in the crawl place??
Where can I buy this gun Friend for the soil.
So Dan the bug man will probably end up being the CEO of his parents company
If you spray...what chemical is it

Woot! Woot! Woot! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 those spiders 😭
I'm in NY and my prices are almost double yours . But everything is twice as expensive here lol.
Wow! I believe it though
That income? Is that your business or do you work for a company?
Do you get a percentage of each stop? Or do you just get hourly pay?
Well my family owns the company so I just get salary but our other technicians get an hourly rate plus 10% of every job done
@@DanTheBugMan Awesome. Looking to get into Pest control. Thanks for the videos
I wouldn't be able to sleep without knowing my bananas are safe at all times 🍌👀
Haha! That’s his fault for leaving his banana out in the open like that
I'm surprised you don't use a flow zone backpack sprayer for the outside
Did you make the money or for the company
The things you see in this industry 🤣 love it though
Those gainuals are no joke.....you get it on your swetty arm.....your gonna know
What software program do you use?
Briostack
So you are rodding the entire perimeter.probably the best way
I work as a technician and dont know how u make that much. Is the company yours
I think it’s his parents
dan dan dan!!!!!!
I once had a customer show me mice droppings asking if they were roaches 🤯🤯🤦🏿♂️🤣🤣
