Thank you for watching Dan the Bug Man exterminate a major German Cockroach Infestation. Luckily for us, the people that used to live in this home recently moved out. This left us with a reasonable treatment option. Even with all the personal items out of the home, this was still easily one of the worst infestations I have ever seen. As always, please let me know if you have any questions about my videos.

My partner and I moved from a heavily infested apartment building. The landlord was horrible and didn't take the issue seriously, but everyone in the building was complaining about it. We broke our lease legally because of the infestation. We tried our best to inspect everything while and during moving but we still brought some over 😭 luckily our new apartment management is actually sending pest control regularly, and I'm doing my part by keeping everything as clean as possible, putting pet food and water our at night. We have rats so I've sprayed the litter tray at the bottom and along the stand so if they crawl onto it they will die. I'm so livid and paranoid 😩 crackhead cleaning. Hopefully withing a few weeks they will be taken care of. Sometimes its really hard to prevent transfer, especially coming from a building as infested as we did. Should we be putting our toothbrushes and sponges up? Everything else is cleaned and swept DAILY, and we are only eating in one room at this point.

One fact that you could have mentioned about the "diy" sprays that you buy in stores. They are more for a prevention type maintenance than they are for eradicating. When he was saying how the chemical kills the roaches I was worried for him, cuz roaches are tough and he is breathing small amounts of theat mist. I work in construction and you don't realize what your breathing until you get a throat full of dust and insulation in a tight spot

One of my secrets dealing with infestations like this was I would do the spray first, making sure the product wasn't a repellant like Phantom. Once the spray was complete then I would use a flushing agent like CB-80 and force all the cockroaches to come out of their hiding spaces and through the areas I sprayed. It won't kill them all instantly but in 24-48 hours the problem is solved.

Nice . Chemical warfare! Its true I've seen people who grew up with it, and the roaches don't bother them. I had some poor kid who was crying because the kids in school would see roaches on him.
I work in NYC and have seen much worse than that. I've seen massive roach infestations with bedbugs crawing up the walls. Rats in people mattress and rats that chewed holes into refrigerators .

I’m couch surfing with people who got crazy roach infestation in their kitchen and the couch i sleep in is literally right next to the kitchen, it bugs me no pun intended. And it’s kills me how no one even cares or is bothered by being greeted by roaches when you come get breakfast in the morning 😤 and they don’t even clean after themselves, I’m watching all these videos and cleaning the kitchen everyday because I don’t wanna be that kid that bosses everyone around when they are the ones hosting me. Thank you , your video was helpful

I had rentals for yrs. A tenant moved out and it was way worse than this. I called exterminator and told him he needed to bring the big guns. He was hesitant at first but after initial inspection he agreed. It took a few weeks but finally gone. Afterward the clean up is a challenge.

I watched this video and have this informed suggestion for your viewers of this video. A cheap and considerably effective potential resolution to that infestation (of an empty unit) is to capitalize on it not having a current food source for roaches and because it is empty no temperature control (making it a bit less optimal for roaches to thrive as compared to when tenants supply them a food source and optimal temp control)..I brought two then recently vacated slum ghetto private house (not duplexes). Both were infested. The solution that worked in both instances was to get the best commercially sold roach bomb canisters available at the dollar store/family dollar/ dollar general. Then place them throughout the house. I mean in the attic, in the rooms, in the crawl spaces. The lock the house and leave. I come back two days later and clean, clean, clean. The first house was purchased December so the house was near freezing and the roaches died off and did not return while I lived there 2 years. The next house was purchased July. I did the same. Roach bombs from the cheap store. I got the best brand from the cheap store and put them in the crawl space, the attic, and the rooms of the house. I then cleaned up the house real good...time after time. The refrigerator had so many dead roaches. The defrost tube is still clogged with the remnants of dead roaches (I need an air compressor to clear that line so the freezer part of refrigerator and run the defrost water down properly. So for two houses I resolved the roach problem for about $38 for both houses. About $19 each..unfortunately thenfenants of the first house had lapsed after 2 years were roaches invaded and thrived.

It's not anywhere near this bad but I see way more than I'd like to on a regular basis. they don't normally come out until about 1am - 7am but sometimes I'll see a couple running around in the daytime. ANYWAY the TLDR is 5 mins into this video and I have the creepy crawlies like you would not believe! yikes!

Great video! We moved in a duplex in LA, with shared garage on one side and street on the other, noticed all sizes of the german roaches, and earwigs as well. Earwigs were easy to deal with. Pest control guy sprayed with Onslaught fast cap, they first were dying, but in 2-3 days they were running around and looking healthy again. we then applied Syngenta gel, and I sprayed with Taurus SC (recommended by friends abroad that used fipronil based treatment successfully, and we don't have kids or pets) outside and along baseboards inside, even though its not rated for indoor use. After that, things are getting better, but after around 5 days they still appear here and there, sometimes running healthy, sometimes completely dead. According to your experience, which step actually helped? Just so I use it in case I face the same issue in the future. And with no adjacent walls, only shared garage, is there still a chance that if neighbors have roaches, they will be visiting us from time to time? And if yes, what is the best preventative measure in our case?
This is my first time dealing with them, and pretty stressful, we continue keeping our food in boxes and eating unhealthy, and its all pretty stressful for us. Thank you in advance!

If your neighbour has them and does not use poison or anything you will get them soon again, just use some gel regulary, like advion or something.

I've had my house sprayed quarterly for 20 years, not because of roaches, spiders, or scorpions, I had the house sprayed for crickets. Why crickets you ask, because in my area if crickets get under the stucco the woodpeckers will peck at your stucco leaving huge gaping holes trying to eat the crickets. Also, scorpions like to eat crickets, so having the house sprayed regularly just keeps all the crawly critters at bay. We also have agri roaches in my area, but I've never seen a live one since we started scheduled spraying.

Unfortunately, I’ve recently acquired these guys from my husband buying secondhand items from questionable looking people. They didn’t say anything. Not a single warning, just took the money with a clear conscience. I ended up holding the bag in MY lap on the way home. The kids said they saw a cockroach and I didn’t believe them. I had never seen a cockroach of this size before, so I didn’t think they could possibly fit inside of a game system. It took only a few hours for them to become a months long problem. When you buy stuff from people if they look shifty or their place of residence looks…unclean, leave. Today, I’m pulling my oven, freezer, fridge and dishwasher out. I’m going to be deep cleaning my kitchen. I’m not looking forward to it.

I’m in an apartment building. Only 10 units, and someone brought roaches with them last year. An out of reach shelf in our kitchen was covered in poop in just a few months before we realized. We had an exterminator come and I give you guys so much credit for dealing with these nasty nasty things. I’m curious what do you do so you don’t bring roaches home with you if they get on your shoes or clothes? If you move out of a roach place how do you not bring them with you?
