I love the way it starts so bluesy & then progresses into bluegrass; truly original, artistic & badass !!!!
I got the chance to see the band live in NY on their album tour and its not at all what I expected. It was far, far better. I came for the fiddle and left impressed by the whole band, especially Kowert, who brought a lot of energy to a flooded out, rained on NY crowd. Big, big smiles and cheers broke out in the room, which was inevitable as these guys really drove their music and put their hearts out there for the crowd. I think they have found their sound with this new album but then again they had a whole other gear just letting loose after running through the new tracks; I am looking forward to the future of this band as they continue to unpack their store of dynamics. Their sound is multi-faceted and they tread the line between the well-loved and the avant-garde in a way thay works well, moving out of just folk and bluegrass into a more ethereal realm without getting lost in their headspace; all of their stuff was engaging. I feel lucky to have seen them live and highly suggest you go see them if ever you get the opportunity. This is something new.
This song is how I got introduced to the Hawktail.
You guys are bringing the good ol’ tunes in the present days. Many thanks!
Great music. Thanks for sharing the joy you have of making great music together.
Please don't take your talent for granted.
i discovered the album Unless on Spotify and instantly fell in love! Such amazing music
ridiculously badass fiddle. that's some refined shit.
Oh my, what a sizzling Melody!!! Definitely a fiddle composition I will learn!!!! Love You Hawktail!!
Thanks for honoring Ed (Abbey) with this tune. He'd love it! Hayduke lives!

Dang! This gal can fiddle! More please!
Look for her on Live from Here shows and clips. She’s a dynamic musician.
Been at it for some time-maybe check out band Crooked Still, duos with Lena Jonsson, for your listening pleasure..
I love this! You guys sound great!!
Can't wait to see you in Homer, NY in April!!
Yeah. And so, wow!
You are great!!
🇧🇷 here
YES!
my guess is the red cloth on the fiddle peghead is covering up a devil or gargoyle's head. Awesome fiddle playing and band all around!!
This band is a proof, that complex rythmic music can be played without drums 🙂 Excellent!
no drums in bluegrass my guy
Britany, Your the best period !
Wait a minute... Haas Kowert Tice Leslie... H-K-T-L... Hawktail...
Dang! That's awesome.
4k? Jeez!
Daaaaaammmmmmmmmm. Dat sum fiddle. shit.
Best song!!do you already have an idea when the album comes out? Cant wait!!😜
Release date is May 11th!
I like the song, but curious about the title- if you're going for the German word for 'trigger', it's spelled 'Abzug'. Or is it a reference to Bonnie Abbzug from the Monkey Wrench Gang?
Does anybody know, what that red thing on the fiddle's neck is?
manakamar it’s a flower over one of her pegs
Thanks!
My heart.
Commenting publicly as Oliver Craven, I'd say this music sounds great. I'd say so privately as well.
Please upload Dandelion ❤❤❤
Lucky if that's a church
love the music, but Brittany, do you know that RUclips opened it with an ad from "Epoch Times" which is a right wing propaganda outlet?
They almost certainly don't have any control over what kinds of ads are played. I've seen the Epoch Times one before all sorts of videos
