Great Review. Not sure why they refuse to update the engine tech. Also, they need to offer it with the 2.0t from the Forester. That would make this car sell in higher numbers for sure.

Not enough power? 178 hp not enough? You want 30 mpg and 400 hp? The comments are not fair. I drive this vehicle (2015 model) & have over 75,000 miles on it already: it has plenty of power to pass, is actually quiet and CVT might tale some time to get used to, but I definitely prefer it to the 6 spd auto. Confortable, economic and great handling: I couldn't find a better vehicle even on the luxury tiers.

Eugen Lucan Thets exactly what I thought, these idiots want 500 hp and good on gas, this is plenty of power too...

      Try a lexus for luxury.

I have a 2017 Premium version of this. I was surprised that you didn't seem very pleased with the power. I only use premium gasoline (Shell or Valero) and I think the power is great considering 175 HP and weighing about 3500 lbs. If I use regular gas it feels pokey and or like I have a car full of people with me. But I'm wondering if the 18" wheels on the Sport vs. the 17" on the Premium are slowing it down a little? I think you missed out on appreciating the sound, as Subaru's and Mercedes-Benz are the only cars I know of that have a wonderful growling exhaust note.

Unfortunately, the power was underwhelming for us, discerningmind, but interestingly enough, we love the burble of a Boxer 6 engine. It was just the combination of the 4-cylinder with the CVT that didn't seem to mix. Much more droning took place than music. But that's just our opinion. If Subaru sends us a WRX, we guarantee we'll sing a different tune about the sound. We appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching!

The 3.6R trim has plenty of power for a daily driver. I have a 2016 with the 3.6L engine. Of course the gas mileage takes a hit. I'm usually averaging 23 or 24mpg. 31 is about as good as it gets during highway driving.

That's actually not too bad, Andrew Ollila. With the extra h.p. gain, we'd take that type of fuel economy loss any day. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

When you were talking about the sound system, did you mean base, or bass?

Sorry for the delayed reply, chokehold2RBLX. We were referring to bass, as in the opposite of treble. Very boomy, as opposed to tight. Thank you for your comments and for watching!

No, interestingly enough, Hyundai hasn't sent us a current-gen Sonata for review, Sean Quertinmont. Stay tuned, though. And if you subscribe to our channel, you'll be among the first to know when we do. Thanks for watching!

Should be tested in the snow.

We agree, Cooky_ 20. The Legacy is a fantastic all-weather car. Unfortunately, we live in the Atlanta, GA area where we don't get much snow. We appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching!

Even Chris can't make this car seem exciting. He may have needed a "hype-man" sidekick.
