Got a 2017 Outback 2.5i. Same color as this car. 4500 miles and a 9 hour road trip already. No complaints in ride/comfort. Also really efficient for the size.
The 05 - 09 Legacy is one of the best looking cars ive ever seen. Now the Legacy still looks good but by far not as good as it use to. But who cares as long as it has AWD
I got my '16 Legacy lease November 2015. I absolutely love it! I've been waiting for you to make a review on this car!! I was hoping you'd do one before I got it, but hey! Better late than never! Keep up the good work!
My Aunt has a 2015 Subaru Legacy and she loves it. It is an awesome car. It has a silver exterior and I believe she has the most expensive trim level so she has a black leather interior. I rode in her car before and it is really comfortable. My Aunt did get the car back when it was first introduced it’s a 2015 model year but she got it in the summer of 2014.
demarc most 4 banger "sport" models have something similar to this, as they would use similar bumpers to 6 cylinder models with dual exhausts. Same case with my Camry se
The Subaru boxer engines are great and one of the best you will find in any car regardless of price. Robust and characterful. The symmetrical AWD system gives great handling too especially in inclement weather conditions. I talk from experience as a former Scooby owner.
JDM boy They tend to have EVAP issues. My brand new outback sometimes will show a full tank of fuel(even if it's 7/8th) until you restart the car then realize you're down a mark. There doesn't seem to be any TSB or fix for it. Just a glitch. Of the 4 Subarus I have owned, 3 of them all had fuel gauge issues. Only one that worked was the wrx. But that car itself had it's own bugs,
My father used to have a Legacy and loved it. Sold back in 2009 when the dreaded EJ25 head gaskets blew and spewed oil everywhere and required repairs costing more than the car itself. The new Legacy sadly is rather uninteresting in the sea of midsize sedans & SUV fever that is replacing these vehicles. The 2.0 turbo from the WRX/Forester XT to replace the aging 3.6 H6 would be a start. Also unlike most Japanese manufacturers, Subaru has rather high finance/lease rates matching that of European luxury brands.
0-60 in "just under 9 seconds" is absolutely unacceptable - my damn '89 Volvo 740 _wagon_ with the old 2.3 and "4-speed" did a bit less than that ... nearly thirty years ago! That 2.5 is just being savagely neutered by that awful CVT. My parents drive a 2016 Honda HR-V EX-L w/ Navi - it has the Civic's 1.8 four banger with an AWD drivetrain riding on a modified Fit platform. It's a light vehicle, the 1.8 should be adequate for general performance, but the CVT makes the thing perform on-par with a bloody Geo Metro (maybe a bit worse, tbh). A former classmate of mine drove a Civic with the same engine and 5-speed traditional automatic, and it was darn near 2.5 seconds faster from 0-60, and that's not an exaggeration.
Honestly i have this car, and it's the best CVT ive ever driven in my life. Its a pretty slow car but I can still power slide 4 wheels around a corner. Its a family car nothing more really.
Borisv19, and have you driven its predecessor with the traditional automatic or manual? The performance isn't even adequate for a sedate family hauler, especially considering how much more competent its predecessors were.
Would you be willing to do a video on a 2017 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Sport sean? Nice review. I also want to test drive this car, an Impreza, and an Outback or Forester.
Me and my dad test drives a new legacy and were thinking of leasing it and was a five speed and handeld really good but it want a good idea to get it to much per month
Every time I see a Subaru on the road I regret not getting one. I can't wait to get rid of my horrible Honda Accord and join the Subie family. This Legacy Sport model is way more superior than the Honda Accord Sport I have.
I am so pissed at Subaru for taking away the manual gearbox. Why are all of the manufacturers taking away our choice? I understand that not a lot of people drive manuals but why take it away? Why not just charge a premium?
saabkyle04 wonderful car also do you smoke or no. also have you ever heard of the beatles elvis presley elton john michael jackson and the rolling stones and billy joel and bruce springsteen and rick springfield and james taylor and fleetwood mac and genesis and vanilla ice have you ever heard of those singers before or no.
Believe it or not, it's not the 2.5 that's slow, it's that darned CVT. Just drive a Subie w/o the CVT - something with a traditional automatic, or manual, and I imagine you'll be pleasantly surprised how potent those little boxer fours can be. CVTs are just worst things possible out there, and they don't help fuel economy enough to justify the displeasure of having to use one.
Haha yeah my Impreza Sport is the same deal. Painted alloys, fog lamps, and a badge on the back that says SPORT. Pretty much the only differences I can find. Does make it look less boring though.
I am not a fan of Subaru but this Japanese company is very smart. They are the poor mans Volvo and its working for them. The build quality and performance isn't Volvo level but who cares when you can't afford Volvo anyway
WRX STi with a manual, turbo, little to no tech, less intrusive "safety" standards, and light tossable chassis vs a neutered family sedan with far too much tech and heft for its own right, far too many electronic controls, a CVT, and a singular intention of being efficient, despite its "Sport" moniker.
Subaru, Mitsubishi, Toyota and Nissan have gone tone deaf with their models. They are dull and uninspired. That used to be said of Ford, Chevy etc. Not anymore. Even the WRX STi for all its power ( which isn't much) is almost as boring as the GTR. It's mechanical and soulless.
No, mechanical is good, my friend. It's all going electronic or computer controlled, and that's what's soulless. The drive-by-wire, clutch-by-wire, the electronically assisted and regulated power steering, all the electronic stability and traction systems, the ride controls, the computers, the technology - that's what's making these cars soulless.
Got a 2017 Outback 2.5i. Same color as this car. 4500 miles and a 9 hour road trip already. No complaints in ride/comfort. Also really efficient for the size.
I miss these type of reviews you used to do. Very informative keep up the good work.

I agree!

I have been looking at the Legacy for a while. Thank's for knowing more about them than the dealers. Great review Kyle!
Own a 2.5i Sport and would not trade it for anything. Everything he said it is, it is! Nothing more, nothing less! Good Job

My exact car for family - 2017 Legacy Sport in Lapis Blue color.
Have been REALLY impressed so far, review coming soon.
A "sport" model with a cutout for a second exhaust tip... without a second exhaust tip.
demarc it's for the 3.6R flat six engine, which has dual exhausts.
demarc most 4 banger "sport" models have something similar to this, as they would use similar bumpers to 6 cylinder models with dual exhausts. Same case with my Camry se

This is why Kyle is the best Car Reviewer! Also could you do the AMG GTR when it comes out?

This car is beautiful

You're not wrong about the volvo my 88 turbo sedan ate up turbos and could go 130 fully loaded

Sick car sadly we don't have them anymore here in Belgium :(
Beautiful car.but am still happy with my 2013 legacy limited 2.5 i

Just got this model and its one of the best cars I have ever driven.
Best review ever. Thank you
COOL 2017 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Sport: Road Test & In Depth Review
I like the simple lines and design, something you don't need 2 weeks to figure out..
Great review! Just wish they offered in 6 speed manual form would be great to tackler N.E. weather, but won't get an CVT.
the front facia looks literally exactly the same as the hyundai sonata
Me and my dad test drives a new legacy and were thinking of leasing it and was a five speed and handeld really good but it want a good idea to get it to much per month
Omg it’s the Subaru wrx startup from Greenville beta on roblox
Excellent car, 10/10.
Do a review on the 2017 Lexus LC 500h!
With AWD why wouldnt they include a turbo in any of the trims ? Also, why didnt you play the stereo. I wouldve liked to have heard it.
The startup sounded like the Greenville effect
Saabkyle04 can you plz do a review of a porsche 914 :D !!!!
Can you do the wrx? Not the sti I really wanna see one tested other channels are not the same as a review as yours cheers mate 🍻
This would be a great first car for a teen
Subaru is one of the best cars. The Boxer engine is excellent. thank you very much and Shalom from Israel
Every time I see a Subaru on the road I regret not getting one. I can't wait to get rid of my horrible Honda Accord and join the Subie family. This Legacy Sport model is way more superior than the Honda Accord Sport I have.
Alex Ramos So ur willing to give up a gem of an engine for a car that is way slower
LOL!! Is this a joke? In what ways is the the Legacy Sport model better than the Honda Accord Sport?
Haroof subaru has AWD, better reliabilty than your Accord
could you review any classic cars? havent seen any on here for a while.
Partial Zero Emission Vehicle? Like 0,5 grams of CO2? Like 0,75 grams of CO2?
Sad it isn't for sale here, in Europe
Sport?
Where is the stick shift?
Still love my 2006 model, better styling, stick shift and pretty much the same engine......
for me this is a ceo car. its beautiful
did you subscribed mega retr's channel?
I am so pissed at Subaru for taking away the manual gearbox. Why are all of the manufacturers taking away our choice? I understand that not a lot of people drive manuals but why take it away? Why not just charge a premium?

Hello excellent videos greetings from Mexico City, Upload a video of SUBARU LEGACY 2020. Thank you
saabkyle04 wonderful car also do you smoke or no. also have you ever heard of the beatles elvis presley elton john michael jackson and the rolling stones and billy joel and bruce springsteen and rick springfield and james taylor and fleetwood mac and genesis and vanilla ice have you ever heard of those singers before or no.
Very nice
Nice car and engine
Harman Kardon speakers?
also have you ever heard of the band journey.
Yea the 2.5 slow AF lol. I have 2016 2.5 limited and the CVT is horrible performance wise. But good on gas and smooth acceleration
Believe it or not, it's not the 2.5 that's slow, it's that darned CVT. Darren Persad you have a good point. Definitely must be the CVT lol. I drive other 4 cylinders and it's crazy what an automatic transmission can do 😅
theres a reason subaru has a cult like following and the largest car community in north america!
Please do a review on the 2004 Peugot 206 XLine
Dod they really call this the sport model? A sleeping pill has more sporting intentions.
kirbyswarp It's a sport, not a STI lol. Don't expect anything more than wheels, trim, and maybe suspension.
They called it a sport. They painted the mirrors that it lol
Thanks so uuu
Haha yeah my Impreza Sport is the same deal. Painted alloys, fog lamps, and a badge on the back that says SPORT. Pretty much the only differences I can find. Does make it look less boring though.
Why Would Subaru Drop The 6 Speed Manual
Gavin Garwood xd WHY Subaru WHY
Someone come get they mans
Plenty of rear storage. I can see luggage and two golf bags in there!
outsisde saucer for gas gas cap lets water they sya it normal
nice cat awd
😍
Does anyone think we'll see a a Legacy STI?
Ahmed Gafar Technically there is. The later model Legacy GT's had the New Gen WRX engine in it.
But no turbo?
Ahmed Gafar Yes. The Legacy GT's are the boosted version of the Legacy. Esentally a sleeper WRX.
Oh okay I'll take note of that
0:46 That sounds kawaii
4:15 Unintended pun?
Where do you live
If I would to buy a legacy I would get the 3.6R I hate their 4 cylinders they are so slow
Really?
I have a 3.6 and it’s been a great car
No "sporty" car should have a snowmobile gearbox. Period.
The suspension is lousy! You're in for a fucking rough ride.
this is offroad private car.
y only 2pedals???
0:57
Just be yourself.
Lmbo
LF????????????
Kyke... Since you changed ur number and wont talk to me, thought I tell you I'm pregnant.
Im due in August if you care. I will name the baby Kylr Jr.

The one time my old Civic would actually win in a drag race.
cvt transmission, for those who hate driving!
why does sound like a Hyundai
I am not a fan of Subaru but this Japanese company is very smart. They are the poor mans Volvo and its working for them. The build quality and performance isn't Volvo level but who cares when you can't afford Volvo anyway
90s😕
relly?this modern bullshit doesn't compare with the 2005 Impreza WRX STI who has marked my childhood!Subaru I'm so fuckin dissapointed!
Oh cvt on a Subaru.... Pass!
Ok don't like Japanese cars. but thx you
John Hammel H so you don't like me =(

Depth review my ass you don't even show how the screen offers what happen to you like you don't show everything about they car anymore!
Why the interior looks such horribly cheap?...
