Nice choice with the Salmon Dial! It's versatile with different straps, for sure. Dark brown or black sounds like a sleek combo!

Nice review. I have had it for almost two months. The salmon dial. It has become my everyday watch. It is light, comfortable to wear with a very readable dial. It is a watch that women notice and compliment me about it. My watch has an actual precise (precise is an important factor) accuracy of -105 seconds in 30 days, that is precise -3.5 seconds/24 hours. It is automatic, but because it also has a hand winding feature, the 38-hour power reserve is fine. My salmon-dial watch is readable in places with low light. Anyway, no watch with luminous hands is readable in a dark place unless its luminous hands are light-charged first. Who charges a watch's luminous before entering a cinema theatre or a low-light restaurant, hehe...nobody. (to be honest, I was lucky. Its price in Europe is 895 euros, but I found it online for 555 euros. Brand new with its three-year guarantee. The guy who sold it to me wanted to replace it with another watch. Someone had gifted it to him. I really was lucky.) Last, but important, because it is a cosc Tissot, it has a 3-year and not a 2- year guarantee. Take care.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Sounds like the salmon dial Tissot is a real winner for you. And what a great find at that price! Enjoy your everyday companion and those compliments it brings!

i have an update about my tissot, after 1 year. It does not run -3s/day, anymore. Now, it runs around +15 seconds/month., that is around +0,5s/day. I cannot be;ieve it, but it is a fact. Love it. (i hand wind it 10-12 rounds every morning and 10-12 rounds every night. I think this the reason it runs so accurately...)

If only Tissot release these in smaller sizes like between 35 to 37mm. These are still too big!! They could even do the smaller sizes as handwind versions, still COSC please. The smaller version of the small seconds should be at 37mm and also be a central seconds instead, and that would appeal to enthusiasts looking for an alternative to the Tudor Tuxedo or the UG Polerouter for the looks

Does it have plastic parts in the movement like their other automatics?

Nice ad, despite the very strange pronunciation of some words (both in English and French). It's a pity that this watch is several mm bigger than the 1930s watches it is trying to emulate.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, size can be a tricky balance with vintage-inspired pieces. Always room for improvement!

Absolutely, good point! Lume might not be a deal-breaker for everyone when it comes to dress watches. Thanks for sharing your perspective!

great video on the watches but the volume difference between the two people talking is jarring and hard to listen to.

Lume would ruin the slick esthetics. Why are you making it to be a con?

The Powermatics, with 80hr power reserves, are a downgrade with their cheap plastic escapements. These will become brittle with age and simply break.
