The fact your giving schematics to this shows your the few left in this world that’s for humanity. God bless you sir
@GrɆg not to be mean dumbass lmao
@GrɆg dude says something nice and then you can't help but say "not to be mean" and go ahead and call him a dumbass... Yup, that's pretty stupid. You know it too.
@GrɆg something like this, he could easily keep to himself and be selling on ebay, etsy, etc very easily and make a fat profit. Especially since joysticks are expensive and selling out. Plus this will be on console soon. It is very generous of him sharing these files.
There’s a website where people share 3D printer files dumbfuck
@GrɆg You really know how to make yourself look like a jackass dont you?
OK, I just gotta say something...
I don't have Flight Simulator or an XBOX and I don't know why this showed up in my feed BUT... I watched the whole thing because this dude is explaining things and speaking in a pleasant way and, well gosh dangit, he just went out of his way to HELP people and to that I say "Well done sir. You are a good dude. And thank you, even though I didn't know I needed this."
Very cool person this guy.
Well this is the nicest comment ever on a youtube feed. There's hope for humanity yet.
bruh this guy isnt letting 2020 get him down. here b4 trump 2020 spammers
The puns in the beginning absolutely killed me! Great job on the modelling and the video!
It made me smile. Edit: The puns I mean :)
I agree, It could really take off...
When you say HOTAS, the youtube close captions writes "hot ass" XD
That was the point.
I'm not even mad!
This is actually a really good product
Best
Things you don't want to hear your pilot to say:
"Is that flaps?"
((points at door handle))
Turn it into a product :) you have something real good right there. Do one for PS4 controller :D
I'd buy it right now if it was the right price.
Yeah if it was for PS4 i will buy it till the TCA officer pack Airbus Edition is cheaper
I could 3d print em and ship em if akaki would be aight with that
Why would people settle for such a un-immersive experience
If it were me who invented this I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't want to offer customer support, worry about warranty and patents and all the hassle it entails selling a product the right way. He could feel the same way if he's already happy with his current job.
Look at you go! This video was a big success already! I love the digital views of Mt. Fuji.
"Go to your local library with a 3D printer" - bruh, my library doesn't even have a computer LMAO
My local library doesn't even have a building. It's a Bus roaming aroznd the small villages here.
most Libraries in 1st world countries nowadays are pretty modern, and basically have nothing to do with actual books...
I only recently realized that by watching this Tom Scott's video: ruclips.net/video/dPb9o3uDF_Q/видео.html
Yeah but in finland they have 3d printers in every library lmao
I've never seen a library with a 3d printer. But then again I haven't been in a library in nearly a decade.
PLEASE POST A GUIDE HOW TO CONFIGURE THE CONTROLLER, I can't get anything to work
Did you find a throttle solution?
@@donaldgsweeney i didnt
pretty awesome, now you gotta figure out rudder pedals.
** MISSION UPDATE: This is your challenge. Good luck. **
Already done. Check his thingivese
@@anotherdrummer2 couldn't find the rudder, do you have the link?
@@anotherdrummer2 That requires soldering
@@anotherdrummer2 the one with Arduino?
I've got to agree... this is fantastic design! This is not only a great idea but also absolutely amazing design work.
That's what I dreamed of when 3d printers came out. You designed something great and now it crosses the world in seconds to help other people.
People can say that it's for "just" a game, but I see kindness and genius on this action of yours
God bless you.
Meu Deus. Você é um gênio e grandioso por compartilhar esse seu projeto principalmente para países do terceiro mundo como o meu onde tudo é extremamente caríssimo. Parabéns... forte abraço do Brasil
Love the design process, and the result! Thanks a lot for sharing :)
Pitch in and roll was funny I love this
Outstanding! Adding the routing for the rubberband is fantastic!
Wow, this video looks so professional and well made.
And scripted by the great Tim Vine if pun content is counted.
I have that logitech extreme 3d pro joystick, so I have no real reason to watch this but damn, that's actually a very nicely designed DIY HOTAS setup. Very cool, and very nice of you to go out of your way to help people(seeing as how you have that thrustmaster sitting there), and the fact that you give the files for free is astounding. I will give you a sub just because of that; there are still good people after all.
does the extreme pro work on xbox still
@@COORDINANCE no
Brilliant creation. Kudos to you Akaki for trial n error method for those ball jointed parts!
I don't have a 3D printer or a xbox controller or Flight simulator but watched the whole thing.
Very clever young man bring this to market I'm sure it would do well at the right price
This looks great! I just got finished building your other 3d printed joystick and throttle as my first 3d printing project. I need to start learning some 3d modelling.
I hope it went well! That one is more complicated than this new one.
@@AkakiKuumeri It did go well! A few issues at first due to me having never used a 3d printer before, but I learned a lot by the time I was done.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
Cool your jets there with the puns lol. Tbh this is really impressive, thanks for designing and publishing this!
your kind of humor made me smile, thanks
This is awesome! I first saw this on Reddit and I think this is really cool. I have recently gotten into simming but I am a student and I can’t afford an actual joystick setup, is it possible ii could design one of these to work with a DualShock? I have a printer at home and would love to try this. Also I just SUBBED, this channel is so cool
Love it, but I don't have an Xbox ONE controller so I can't really use it, would love to see people remix it for other controllers.
Very nice man. great attention to detail, and thank you for naming the files intuitively to print.
the fusion part made me laugh, by the way. I work with it everyday and it's cool, but it definitely has some nuances.
Mate, that is super awesome! Well done!
Super sad that Fusion 360 is going to be changing its terms of service for hobbyists :(. It's been a fantastic tool for years.
I'm a weirdo that still has Xbox 360 controllers. If you're open to remixing the design for other controllers, put that one on your list :D.
Also friggin' SUBSCRIBED! I thought this might be a one-of project but your channel is full of this stuff! Keep on making awesome things!
Has anyone figured out how to make the Left Trigger work as a throttle?!
still not found out?
Id like to know
Doesn.t seem like you can on Xbox, possibly only PC
Check axis "throtle one" and assign on LT. I have just did on xbox SS
Now I'm trying to have 0 to 100% values. It is just running from 50% to 100%
I was skeptical at first, but this is genuinely cool! 100% turn this into a product!
This is the first useful think 3D printible I have seen... Congrats!!!
This is brilliant. When flight simulator comes to console I will be having a go at this.
Just wandering, have you considered doing some kind of steering wheel attachment for a controller? I'm not sure how it would work, but someone as clever as you could figure out a way of attaching a wheel of some sort to a controller.
do you know when it is supposed to hit consoles?
@@Trumpetnerd411 don't think they've announced a releases date yet
Yaw, it is a great design, now all we need is a bit more yaw!!
I am so glad I already had both a nice HOTAS setup and a yoke with pedals prior to the release of FS2020. It is crazy how much they jacked up the prices of all HOTAS setups as well as yokes and pedals, after the game's release.
Brilliant work. I don't have an Xbox or any interest in flight sims, but as the owner of a new 3d printer I was inspired and entertained -- and now I'm subscribed!
Not sure how it'd be implemented, but I'd love to see this with yaw support.
Rudder triggers on the throttle
If UK libraries had 3D printers they wouldn't be closing down.
When I heard Library and 3D ....I was like what...When did this happen!
In Canada even small libraries are getting 3D printers! One place I live most summers has a population of maybe 3,000 and they got one a few years ago, and my home town with a population of about 300 even has a room with gaming computers for Minecraft and stuff. Not sure if they have a 3D printer yet, since it's been a couple years since I went in
Our libraries also lend out video games, so they're pretty relevant!
@@RightDivide can I has Canadian passport please?
Just go to your local government and get them to get back to working on CANZUK - freedom of travel between Commonwealth countries! (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK)
Brexit kinda derailed the thing
This is fantastic. Well done!
Dude this is exactly what I need it combines my favorite things flying xbox and 3d printing.
I have looked for several hours today, but I can't find/figure out how to make the trigger control the throttle properly. It won't let me use the trigger as an axis. Anybody else make it work? If so, how
I'm in trouble as well, even calibrating it in win10 controller settings doesn't do it, it seems both triggers constitute the Z axis even if i just deactivate the rudder control
Same, if some one could help that would be great
Same please help
also help
Is the throttle level resistive to the the spring return of the trigger? Are you able to push the throttle lever to whatever position you want and it stays there like a throttle lever on a plane?
These puns are too much to handle. Great delivery. Very elevating for the spirits :)
Now this is what I've been looking for years! Thanks bro!
Can’t figure how to map the throttle to LT can someone help
found it?
@@Pakterius14 ahh ruclips.net/video/WsCKPGNydzA/видео.html
Can you make a dualshock4 version pls
Yes, dualshock4 pls :)
eXitutioN I triple that
I second that
Damn good and simple engineering. Awesome you’re dropping these plans for free
Wow this is one of the most impressive things I have seen come out of a 3d printer. I will give it a go for a ps4 controller which I think you have also done.
Nice project, since I saw you have a racing wheel too, would you have the expertise to create a pitch system for your wheel?
I'm using my racing wheel and pedals for the the rudder and ailerons, but it is missing the pitch for the elevator, so on take offs and landings I have to go back to my Xbox One controller.
A Japanese youtuber made a pitch system with linear potentiometer, Arduino and seat rails, unfortunately he didn't shown the schematics, just the finished project. :(
Interesting. That’s a cool idea! Do you have a link to that video?
@@AkakiKuumeri This is his video: ruclips.net/video/mbP6ZRoNuQo/видео.html, I tried to get some more info with him, but it looks like he isn't so active on RUclips lately.
Take a look and tell me if there is a viable way to get something similar, it would be really cool using a sim wheel as a Yoke. :P
@@SergipeCycling Oh that's awesome. I'll definitely put this in my backlog!
wait, where do local libraries have 3D printers... I am in the wrong country apparently
Merica man
Finland as an example
Such a brilliant design!!!
That's an awesome design dude, very clever. So cool.
Hey Akaki, thanks for this awesome design. I just have setup problem in MSFS 2020. Standard for the XBOX Controller for Throttle ist A and B, so digital input. I can't change the control for a linear analog input via LT. If I assign increase/decrease throttle to LT, nothing happens. There is no analog Input Option in the select menu like for the L and R sticks. Any hint for me? :-)
Just found it, had to list all function, not only the assigned ones! But now I have the problem, that the low Position of LT ist already 60% throttle. When clicking on sensitivity button, the upcoming window is empty. Controller has been calibrated under windows. Any clue for this issue? :-)
ohh well ... seems to be a bug for quite some time .... :-(
forums.flightsimulator.com/t/patch-2-controls-sensitivity-settings-not-showing/273486
However, I believe in the sensitivity windows only adjustments to the left and right stick are possible if I'm not wrong, so not the LT Slider?
@@gibmirschnell I have the same problem. Did you find an answer, or do we have to wait for the next patch that brings back the "sensitivity window"?
Same problem. Does anyone know solution for this?
Is this Xbox 360 gamepad compatible? Looks really great
Thanks! I just dusted off a 360 controller, and it just baarely works. The sticks are a bit larger on the 360 and the back of the controller is a bit different in shape. It would work with two very small modifications though.
@@AkakiKuumeri So you are saying there is chance we will get these mods as revision on thingiverse? :P
@@AkakiKuumeri i'm printing one right now, but i have an xbox 360 controller. i will see if i can do the mods, but i think it is beyond me ahahaha.
Another vote for a 360 mod pls :)
@@AkakiKuumeri Can you elaborate on the modifications needed?
As an experienced flight sim player and a real world aircraft mechanic, this is pretty amazing work. I am impressed.
I LOVE THIS. I'll try to adapt it to the 360 controller but that shouldn't be too hard. Thanks for sharing this with the community!
Public library's have 3d printers? I havent been to a library in years.
well it can't possibly be full of books ....no one uses those anymore
:P jk
I know this is a technicality but that's not a HOTAS. A HOTAS has buttons placed on the stick and throttle to allow for manipulation of aircraft systems while maintaining positive control of the primary flight controls.
You are technically correct, which is the best kind of correct.
Urrggghh...
I guess that’s why it’s “hands on”? Because you can operate other controls while hands on
Voiceattack would help
So it's technically a TAS.
That is absolutely genius. The fact you're giving out all of this for free... I'm thinking about giving out my design for Xbox controllers for free aswell. 👍🏻 Keep up the great work!!
Simply amazing. Beautiful concept.
For the love of God, please patent this prior to having 3rd party companies blatantly steal this idea.
too late
Wow! This is awesome. Great design. Thanks for sharing!
This is tremendous. Came from ASMR loopz - subscribed!
just finished printing mine thanks for the files
Wow, that's awesome! Good work!
I shall make a steering wheel for my controller now. Thank you kind sir, for an idea that will keep me entertained for a while.
My man over here doing the good work for the people. God Bless You
I designed one of these as well after seeing this video except I wanted the more realistic feeling so I made the actual “stick” part longer and the controller section sits on the floor. Took long to print but works great. I also added a trigger button on the handle for playing war thunder
I don't need the parts since I have a HOTAS setup from years ago, but this is simply amazing and giving it away for free is even better. You sir are a class act.
This is great man! I have a ps3/PC hotas i got for ace combat 7 awhile ago. But this is such a innovative idea. Great work man!
This looks really cool
ITS SO SATISFYING thanks for this video!
Thank you very much for the extension! You rock!
Great Idea! Glad to discover this channel thanks to Reddit :P Keep it up, great work.
Liked and subscribed. Thanks for the files can't wait to try it out. Been using my old drone transmitter as a controller up until now.
That's amazing, You need to get this to market
I use the PS4 controller with DS4WIN and I feel very good with it (the sticks are actually very sensitive and small movements with stick are possible, and the touchpad acting as a mouse can be useful sometimes), but man your 3D printed extension is genius! Nice one!
DUDE! this is AMAZING!
I subscribed solely because this is a cool idea man. You are what the internet is for transmitting good ideas and info.
What an awesome project! Thank you so much for the video!
Inspired design. Nice work.
This is one of the most ingenious use of a 3d printer I've ever seen
two jokes and two genuine laughs in less than a minute - subbed
Don't see myself ever using this, because I don't okay these games, but this is awesome of you to do for the community.
That was a smooth landing 👌
This is awesome, you've just gained a sub. Thank you for sharing your design!
I feel super hard trying to make something like this. Thanks for this jem

That's awesome, going to give it a go this weekend.
Wow, that is amazing, really awesome. Good work, I think I've gotta make one.
Dude this is incredible. Thank you so much!!!
Congratulations, amazing job. Can´t wait to try it.
Brilliant design! I'm also making controller for MSFS here. In my case, it's a desk-mounted yoke. I already have a HOTAS setup, but it doesn't feel right for planes that aren't center-sticks, which in MSFS, is more than half of them.
Give this guy a metal, im waiting for a preordered stick must may have to make this in the meantime, thanks my friend!
Absolutely brilliant!
this is very cool thank you for sharing i will be printing this for sure
you're freaking smart man i dont play the game but this is cool and thanks for it.
