For years some people know just to break through the dirt surrounding the walls of a players base to check if there is any passages. The best starting pvp base option is to dig a hole in the ground with some crates. Then conceal the surface dirt. Don't forget to check your map and mark it.
I've doing this for years, in Alpha 8 or 9 I built a little 3x3 wooden shack in the Navezgane desert, no roof, no door, I covered the outside walls in barbed wire, but not perfectly. Underneath was a relatively functional reinforced concrete bunker with multiple rooms and a hallway. We got into a pretty intense battle where another player was digging down through the ceiling and throwing pipe bombs into the base. The game was much more fast paced back then, players were friendlier. Now the game is too slow and spontaneous massive battles have much higher stakes which I think kind of takes some of the magic away. I'm getting back into the game for the first time in a few years, my current PVP base is a monster, the spawn/loot room is on bedrock with steel walls that are 3 blocks thick. This "coffin" has a round shape, the coffin is surrounded by activity rooms that go around the coffin, each room is separated by multiple steel doors. Each room has an SMG turret inside of the inner wall. The front entrance and mine entrances are protected by two turrets each. The outer wall is 3 blocks thick concrete at every point. The second floor consists of service passages for maintaining the turrets and the generator/battery backup. The roof is 2 block thick concrete topped with iron spikes and an air gap to create an anti-drilling blanket. The sad part is that my base is so hidden, the turrets have never fired. I guess part of the PVP appeal is that on some level you do want to get raided, you want your design to be so tough that the raiders give up. It's not uncommon now to see large bases just obliterated with dynamite which is a real shame. I know no one is going to read all of that, but maybe someone will get to appreciate my base's design and get inspired. Nice video!
haha, yeah but I think the hardcore guys are the ones that would be looking for your base, and they probably think they already know everything, so hopefully wont see this video.
I had a decoy base but it was just a nooby 🏠 on the surface with hidden tunnel to bedrock. It does work well but pvp upsets me with all these see through bugs and hackers. Only playing pve since A18 I think.
Ello mate, I love your videos and I think I'm actually watch them I found your channel today after... you know, and I think I could use some of these tricks to help me with my channel, well thank you for making this amazing content keep up the good work, Peace.
If you do it that way, people are more likely to dig indiscriminately around the area, to see what all you might be hiding, which would uncover your secret. The noob-ishness is actually what protects you; it makes players think that whoever built it wouldn't have been sophisticated enough to hide anything of value, so they move on quickly.
I’m a 7dtd hardcore pvp raider an I can confirm that this will not work simply Bc we’re always looking for “Player Intervention”… That clearly appears player made, it’s poor defense and any hole in the ground is a window of opportunity. The strongest base I’ve ever seen had a massive trench with a tower in the middle of the hole that housed the entirety of that base, auto turrets on all four corners. I didn’t try to raid it Bc I wouldn’t have been able to get past all the defenses without a raid party and tons of resources. You need a endgame base to achieve such a goal. You’d be better off building a secret bunker deep underground, multiple maze tunnels for confusion, then have several death tunnels full of traps so there would be no real right way to the base without dying.
Hey, im a new 7d2d player, and im wondering, couldnt you just make an entrance blocked by dirt and covered with something like a chair, or would the dirt collapse?
People can catch you leaving, if they see you they will know where your base is, that's why you want the decoy base. They will think they found everything
@@xblunja8332 Another thing you can do is, when you spawn in, that's a hot spot area, generally everything on the map is in the starting area, so spawn in, make a sleeping bag, then run very far in one direction, put your bag down and start you base. Then once you get stronger, move closer to 0,0 on the map
Great now you told everybody the secret now that won’t work! Ha ha
I was just going to say this lol
haha damn
@@Hewhoisseth what happened to episode 7 is it a secret great video of a horde night?

Nice video!

Me too, lad..
I am gonna try it one day... as The Legendary Sledgehammer Master...

Excellent tip man 🤟🤘🤟
Glad you liked it!
good stuff using something similar atm works really well
Right on
Great! Go and tell everyone all the tricks! 😂😂

Awesome video, love the concept!
Thanks so much!
Plot twist.. You built it in a resource node, so now a newb is going to mine it away, find your secret tunnel, and wreck your base.
first of all how dare you, second of all kiss me on the mouth.
Great idea mate! 💡
Glad you think so!
Didnt know you could do this. Really great video. Thank you :)
Glad I could help!
I realize this video is 2 years old, but I have to ask what is a TC? Or more precisely what does TC stand for?
Very creative! Great video Seth!😊
Thank you Xyiah!
awesome buddy, not so secret secret now :)
You got that right!

Yeah there's always been terrain glitching to see under ground. It's a bummer, and it breaks pvp.
good thinking nice one
Many many thanks

Thanks my friend, glad I could help you.
I have a question. You've done PvP servers.
If you use a Silenced weapon, can people still hear you nearby or far away?
Not as far, but yeah the sound is pretty fucked, people can hear the smallest thing SO far.
If you go down 30 blocks deep nobody can hear you so it can become more safe.
Ah that's cool, I didn't know that. Back in the day you could hear people underground at bedrock from an absurd distance, this was probably like a10?
Why dont place the dirt instead of the hatch right away? Then you save yourself the placebo base :D
Also a patch of dirt of the surface before it grows grass would be pretty obvious.
If you do it that way, people are more likely to dig indiscriminately around the area, to see what all you might be hiding, which would uncover your secret. @@Hewhoisseth that's why you dont do it on a forest biome ;). Doing it on a wasteland its straight away the same as everywhere else

Im going to make one too. Appreciate this vid bro 💯💯

2 year old video *shrug*
were there any signs that someone destroyed your fake base's crates?
Definitely had all kinds of signs that people were messing around inside the fake base.
@@Hewhoisseth lol that's great!
I did that but I put a base on the surface and had a hidden lower. Half
Yeah that's brilliant, works for sure.
Я это придумал когда впервые зашел в игру в Alfa 15.
Unfortunately game still have some glitch to see underground
Man when are they going to fix that, for gods sake.

I feel like big Tony should have been here too.
Big tony knows when you've been sleeping, he knows when you're awake.
Anyone who tells you that building a base up top in pvp servers, doesn't know enough about the game....
