In my opinion Irene is a great dancer.She kinda embodies "SM" style dancing : clean,neat and structured. Irene has very clean technique has great stamina,sharp moves and also flexible.
exactly, a lot of the explanation the video gave for why she was low is wrong as well. She has fairly good isolations and good musicality. She has stiffness in her torso which is true but there is so much things she does well as a dancer that this video fails to mentions.

Why did you put Jisoo above Irene? While I absolutely adore Jisoo but strongly disagree. Irene is an objectively better dancer Naughty and monster’s choreo are some displays her skills. She had incredible dance skills even before debut, just look up her trainee days dance covers if you need some reference.

Idols debut in a certain position because at that time they were the best in that area. But after years it is obvious that things change, some idols concentrate on improving and others despite their position leave are surpassed. The funny thing is that when it comes to vocals, the fandom loves to repeat that everyone is the main vocal, but when it comes to dance and rap, they forget that narrative and go crazy when their favorite is not cataloged as the best.
Wendy has come along way when it comes to Dancing. That woman kept on improving herself. Her vocals were even more spectacular and her theatre exposures helped her even more.

I think this is a pretty fair ranking… 1. Seulgi or Lisa 2. Lisa or Seulgi 3. Irene 4. Jennie 5. Rosé 6. Wendy 7. Jisoo 8. Joy 9. Yeri I don’t think 7-9 are disputable, and same with Lisa and Seulgi for 1st and 2nd. They’re interchangeable imo. 3-6 is the more contentious area… I think Irene doesn’t get the respect she deserves for her dancing. The problem I have is that Red Velvet and BP have very different choreographies. Red Velvet’s is closer to a typical idol girl group’s choreographies whereas BP’s is more of a open style hip hop style of dance.

Idk why ya'll think that Jennie is a better dancer than Rosé like I am a big fan of Jennie but you can't ignore Rosé's dancing. And those who disagree with me let me tell you some reasons. 1. Watch HYLT dance cover video and the comments under it, like blinks were fighting that who is the main dancer of BLACKPINK. Evn tho it's obv that Lisa is the main dancer, people loved HYLT Rosé's dance. 2. She is lead dancer for a reason and it was never confirmed by YG that Jennie is going to be the lead dancer like Jensetters made this whole thing up. 3. Born pink concerts. Look ik Jennie got massive hate for Born pink concerts and i totally feel bad for her, but still many people call her a better dancer for feeling bad for her, like if ur a dancer you have to be consistant too which means you have to be a good dancer every time. Being a good dancer only one time doesn't make u the best. You have to be good everytime. 4. At the start of debut, I belive that Jennie was the 2nd best dancer, but as time slowly passed, she is sowly losing her passion for dancing while on the other hand, Rosé has improved day by day. irene isn't fluid at all. she has very poor isolations, with the exception of the occasional passable (not good - decent) hip isolations. her technique is lacking in every way and she has no connection to the music. joy shows more potential and she has shown more improvement. irene has not improved at all since debut. the "perfect balance" thing doesn't make any sense - red velvet choreography doesn't require any complex coordination that would require good balance in the first place. the best thing about her hands are that she doesn't do anything particularly distracting with them. she does not use them intentionally or in an interesting way to accent the music. feel my rhythm, which is one of irene's better works recently (as in she doesn't look as bad as usual) shows her unable to keep time, unable to perform any isolations properly, constantly going off time, no dynamics, floppy arms (likely due to a lack of strength), unable to execute any pops or locks or stops. the only good thing about her dancing is that she's clean which convinces people she's good at dancing when in reality she has no semblance of good technique. some people dance in a way that makes their connection to the music very clear in the way they express it with their bodies (like seulgi - she has great musicality). irene does the exact opposite where she dances in a way where she makes it very clear that she isn't even computing the music at all. the best thing rose has over jennie is her energy. jennie has the better technique and this is clear even in her less energetic performances. overall, jennie has the better fluidity and overall control (i'm taking her inconsistency into account - with consistency (so, if she always did her best/around that level), i'd probably put her somewhere over wendy), which makes her better than rose.

But after years it is obvious that things change, some idols concentrate on improving and others despite their position leave are surpassed. The funny thing is that when it comes to vocals, the fandom loves to repeat that everyone is the main vocal, but when it comes to dance and rap, they forget that narrative and go crazy when their favorite is not cataloged as the best.

I don’t think 7-9 are disputable, and same with Lisa and Seulgi for 1st and 2nd. They’re interchangeable imo. 3-6 is the more contentious area… I think Irene doesn’t get the respect she deserves for her dancing. The problem I have is that Red Velvet and BP have very different choreographies. Red Velvet’s is closer to a typical idol girl group’s choreographies whereas BP’s is more of a open style hip hop style of dance.

Idk why ya'll think that Jennie is a better dancer than Rosé like I am a big fan of Jennie but you can't ignore Rosé's dancing. And those who disagree with me let me tell you some reasons.
1. Watch HYLT dance cover video and the comments under it, like blinks were fighting that who is the main dancer of BLACKPINK. Evn tho it's obv that Lisa is the main dancer, people loved HYLT Rosé's dance.
2. She is lead dancer for a reason and it was never confirmed by YG that Jennie is going to be the lead dancer like Jensetters made this whole thing up.
3. Born pink concerts. Look ik Jennie got massive hate for Born pink concerts and i totally feel bad for her, but still many people call her a better dancer for feeling bad for her, like if ur a dancer you have to be consistant too which means you have to be a good dancer every time. Being a good dancer only one time doesn't make u the best. You have to be good everytime.
4. At the start of debut, I belive that Jennie was the 2nd best dancer, but as time slowly passed, she is sowly losing her passion for dancing while on the other hand, Rosé has improved day by day. And Jennie will still slay if she will put more effort but for now energy, consistancy can only be seen in Lisa and Rosé. Also Jisoo.
Lastly I love Jennie and I will always fight with her haters but I love Rosé too and it's totally not fair to her! (Sry if that offended you)

irene isn't fluid at all. she has very poor isolations, with the exception of the occasional passable (not good - decent) hip isolations. her technique is lacking in every way and she has no connection to the music. joy shows more potential and she has shown more improvement. irene has not improved at all since debut. the "perfect balance" thing doesn't make any sense - red velvet choreography doesn't require any complex coordination that would require good balance in the first place. the best thing about her hands are that she doesn't do anything particularly distracting with them. she does not use them intentionally or in an interesting way to accent the music.
feel my rhythm, which is one of irene's better works recently (as in she doesn't look as bad as usual) shows her unable to keep time, unable to perform any isolations properly, constantly going off time, no dynamics, floppy arms (likely due to a lack of strength), unable to execute any pops or locks or stops. the only good thing about her dancing is that she's clean which convinces people she's good at dancing when in reality she has no semblance of good technique. some people dance in a way that makes their connection to the music very clear in the way they express it with their bodies (like seulgi - she has great musicality). irene does the exact opposite where she dances in a way where she makes it very clear that she isn't even computing the music at all.
the best thing rose has over jennie is her energy. jennie has the better technique and this is clear even in her less energetic performances. overall, jennie has the better fluidity and overall control (i'm taking her inconsistency into account - with consistency (so, if she always did her best/around that level), i'd probably put her somewhere over wendy), which makes her better than rose.
