    There is a mnemonic for branches of posterior division of internal iliac artery: Super GILLS
    Super G: Superior gluteal artery
    IL: Iliolumbar artery
    LS: Lateral sacral artery

    How I wished I found this anatomy tutorial when I was still in Year 1 & 2 med school. So easy to understand and most importantly, I did not fall asleep. Thanks AnatomyZone! =D

      Hi

      I'll be happy to hear useful advises from you- expert- that will improve my skills before it is too late

      Hi there :) Im currently in final year, so not that expert. Still forgetting a lot of things. What I can advise is that learn anatomy based on its clinical significance, instead of cramping everything in anatomy book into your brain. If you are confused with what you read, feel free to check any video or google for any sources that can help you understand and remember better. Cheers and all the best to you. :)

    Love the 3 D views. I went to school 25 years ago when they used the clear pages with different structures on each page in an attempt to give a 3 D view. This is 1,000 x better. Great work.

    Great but you really need to show the uterine artery and its course. We ligate this vessel often at its origin. Please re-do your video to include this.

    • @DaveBuikema
      @DaveBuikema 7 лет назад +9

      I second this, but its probably a big pain in the pelvis to recreate the whole video for one artery lol

      Yes really missing the uterine artery is a rather significant omission.. reflects a problem with a lot of anatomy sources that seem to give less emphasis to half the population! Clinically it is the artery that really matters...

    very nice video and description, animation added.. thank you for taking great effort.. a small suggestion- pl add on uterine artery too towards the end and relation btwn the same , (also vein) and ureter as animation .. I should say this is just wonderful. I'm suggesting this as Im a Gyn and onco loving guy , even many Gynaecologist and other clinicians are unaware and this clinical applied anatomy is always of great importance..and it would not take time and added effort to reach many more specialists needing.. also , note on drainage after ligation of the same.. hence.. thank you for all efforts..Shriraam Ayyar

    Superb audio visual artistic presentation.. wish such medical school teachings were available in the 70-80s...
    Reliving my UG anat days... New generation is lucky and therefore more eligible and capable of being well informed and 'know their stuff 'kind of medics....of course no substitute to efforts and curiosity , love for the subject of science to be essential....
    Really envy the today's med-students for having such a real time knowledge giving gadgets...
