Great video. I love the description of a "sickening click". I was treating the tablet too gently, but you gave me the courage to squeeze it just a little bit harder, and it clicked in fine. Thanks!
This was bought to replace an old Lenovo tablet which was essentially too sluggish to cope with modern websites. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxz4qYZoyAOb_hq_UbaKI6AsZX0FnoFm-U This tablet is fast, has a very clear display with built in optional eye comfort shield, great sound with Dolby Atmos, split screen option and numerous tweaks that I've not yet explored. I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it
Erick, I really appreciate your video! I'm a senior citizen and not very good at figuring things like this out. Like the others, I was afraid to press hard for fear that I would damage the tablet. Thanks to you, I was able to install the case. Otherwise, I was going to have to drive over to an electronics store and ask for their assistance. I really appreciate the effort you made to assist others such as me. Best wishes to you and your family.
If it wasn't for this video I would have taken the case back for a refund. The packaging doesn't come with any instructions and I mistakenly believed that it was supposed to connect magnetically.
What worked for me was to lay it down on a table, line up the plastic knobs so they're safely just inside the tablet holes and then press. It helps enormously if you learn the position of the tablet lying on the case and get the feel where it lines up! It seems like the tablet was made tough enough to take it. But gee, you would think this part of the booklet would make it clearer. Thank you very much.
Thanks, man! Why the h*ll are there no instructions in the box of the 'Book Cover'?? I would never have thought I had to press it hard to snap it in. Thanks again!!!
Dude, the amount of pressure u need to apply was a lot. My fingers felt like they were going to break. I don't know why they decided to omit instructions in the box. Nothing about this installation is intuitively driven. Thank you for this video!
Lol, I definitely agree. You would never assume that you need to push that hard. The only reason I knew was because I saw it being installed by a Samsung rep when the tablet was first announced.
I bought my wife the Tab S2 8.0 and didn't want to damage the case or the tablet. Your video eased my mind. Thank-you very much. Keep up the good work and helpful videos.
It only took me 4 months to decide to look on the internet to get the cover install figured out,. What a piece of cake. Thanks many times over for your simple video, even if I do feel foolish right now
Thanks for the great video. I wasn't pressing hard enough because it felt like I was going to break my tablet. Now I know that I should press hard to install it.
Thank you so very much for this! I cant tell you how much I appreciate a super clear, perfectly explained how to video. You sir, should do as many of these as you can. I was terrified about the snapping noise but after watching this I installed the case and I really love it! I had one that wrapped around and obscured the screen, and found that I was not using the tab very much at all. This case makes me feel like I have a whole new tablet. Thank you again!
thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I just bought this tablet and we were struggling, following the little drawing instructions on the box, to make it work. your video is quick and easy to follow. thank you!!
Thanks. I have had this tablet/case several years and it just came off one of the tabs. Couldn't remember how I installed it so found your video which showed I had already "liked" it, so I must have looked at your video originally. The hardest part is lining up the the tabs. Thanks again!
Thanks a lot for this guide! The pressure needed was pretty insane, honestly thought I'd have to take it back to the store. Actually won my tablet from a telecom sponsored competition but never found a use for it. Now this cover and your guide sparer me a 5-10 times bigger investment in a laptop, will probably get one in my next job anyway :)
While I got your attention, any idea how to also connect a wireless xbox 360 controller? ;) I've actually got the PC wireless extension and found a way to supposedly connect that via USB A female to USB C male, but that's going to be a mess to carry around if I can avoid it...
This is a big help. I just got the book cover today for Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and I was afraid I was going to break it when installing it, so I looked for this demo on RUclips. At about the 1:30 mark you said about how much pressure to apply is to press so hard that you feel like you're going to break it, and then press a little harder. LOL!! Exactly right! I like you're real straight approach to explaining things.
Thank You !! There was virtually no documentation in the box except for some cryptic drawings. I never would have expected it to take that much force to make it snap in without your guidance. It was exactly as you described it: "Press so hard you feel you're going to break the tablet, and then press even harder." Lol! That was exactly the case! Love the case, it's extremely secure, durable and has all those great opening angles. Thanks so much again for a great video!
I spent 5 or 10 frustrating minutes trying to plug the cover into the divets and then watched your video and found the answer - the key as you pointed out is to push hard! Thank you so much.
So helpful. I didnt know this book cover existed. (my tab arrived today) but was looking at videos of different covers and you have convinced me this is the one for me! thanks (and will be easy to install now too!)
Thank you for this man. I just got one and was like NO way; this cannot be that complicated. And yeah you right, that first SNAP makes your heart skip a beat thinking you just broke something. But all is good and now its on there. Thanks again! Thumbs UP!
Thanks for sharing! I got the tab and the cover from the store today but when I got home I had no idea how to put them together. A search on RUclips led me here and my problem's fixed!
This was the one. Thank you so much. I had been using off-brand cases but this was on sale at Best Buy for 29.99. Was super frustrated until I watched this video. You are the man!
Thank you so much! I got my husband a new tablet because the other one's screen shattered. Had you not told me this I would have been terrified to apply any pressure at all. Works like a charm now!
It's the small stuff you can't find answers to! I looked all over the internet for this answer and watched a ton of unboxing with no luck.Thank you so much for your help. *liked & subscribed!!
Great video! I don't usually have trouble figuring out how to do much of anything, but like you said, it seems like I would break it. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the video! Took me a while to figure out, but if you put it on the table, align and press with a bit of weight behind your thumbs, it snaps in just fine.
I knew this was supposed to be easy. I saw the tabs on the case and knew where they fit. And I had it right. But I didn't apply enough pressure, so right away I looked it up online and found your video. And I do have to say it saved me what could have been a lot of fighting and trying to figure out how I'm supposed to do it. I do thank you for your help.
Thank you so much for this video! I just got my tablet and case and I started getting desperate but didn't wanna break my brand new tablet either... I was about to give up and return the case and get another model but you saved me. Thank you!
Brilliant, thanks! I thought I was doing it wrong, but you confirmed I wasn't applying enough pressure; worked like a charm. Thank you again for your help!
Just bought the S2 and it came with the cover but I couldn't figure out how to attach it. I did see the pegs on the back and the corresponding points on the cover and knew they were key but did not think to press the tablet on to them. Thanks for the directions! They helped.
Again with the others. Thank you!! I watched the first video and just slipped around and thought it was defective. So smooth. I just am not strong enough to install it and I want something I can handle completely. Also I sometimes lean it vertical so..I would need yet another stand if I wanted to do that. I'm just sad because I can't see any other cover being so light and smooth in the hand or bag. If you have any suggestions I'm listening. We do need your vids because of the clarity of presentation and the way you listen to your viewers. Subscribed!! - Linda
thank you for this vid. Just received the keyboard and was about to return it because I couldn't get the tablet connected to the case. It really took ALL of my strength, but I finally got it! Took a lot of pressure!
Hi Erick . Bought my self a Galaxy Tab S2 and also the book cover to go with it . I've tried to fit the cover but felt resistance and didn't want to force too much on the tablet . So I decided to go back to the retailer to install it for me . BUT I decided to have a look on youtube before leaving , and BINGO ..! I got on your demo ..... WOW .... You saved me a trip to the retailer And look like an idiot . ?? Thanks Erick for your helpful VDO ... jOHN
Thank you Erick. We appreciate the video. I was afraid to push to hard until I saw you do it! It snapped into place and we agree with you, it's an awesome case. Well made and versatile. Thanks again!!
Great video. I love the description of a "sickening click". I was treating the tablet too gently, but you gave me the courage to squeeze it just a little bit harder, and it clicked in fine. Thanks!

+Sally Cross no problem! Glad I could help!
Erick, I really appreciate your video! I'm a senior citizen and not very good at figuring things like this out. Like the others, I was afraid to press hard for fear that I would damage the tablet. Hey +David S. Rubin, I'm glad my video was able to help you out.
If it wasn't for this video I would have taken the case back for a refund. The packaging doesn't come with any instructions and I mistakenly believed that it was supposed to connect magnetically.
Jason Hampel same lol! I was so pissed. And I thought... Oh I'll look on RUclips. Lol
Jason Hampel same lol! I was so pissed. And I thought... Oh I'll look on RUclips. Lol
Exactly what you said, word for word!
Yeah, it's so stupid there are no instructions!?!
You are right. I had to use this video.
Thank you very much.
wow, this method is actually the best for those super conscious about breaking the tab folks. thanks dude
Just got the sickening snap at last. Thanks Erick :-)
8 years later, still a good video!
Thank you!
Thanks, man!
Why the h*ll are there no instructions in the box of the 'Book Cover'??
I would never have thought I had to press it hard to snap it in.
Thanks again!!!
THANK YOU! I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. One minute of your video and it's attached! Thank you for this video!
+M Tamimi you're welcome!
Thanks, the part that helped me was "You have to press so hard that you feel like you'll break the tablet, then press even harder" lol
Whew!. I would never have dared to press this hard on the surface of my new tablet! You are absolutely right, it is SCARY.
Just got a Tab S2 and this was the first video that came up for the book cover. Quick and clear explanation on the book cover install. Thanks kindly.

+wildcharm911 - me too till I watched Erick's video which was reassuring. BTW, is the 911 for emergencies or R U a 911 Truther?
This is the best style case ever. I wish they would continue with this type.
Facts! I agree!
This was the one. Thank you so much. I had been using off-brand cases but this was on sale at Best Buy for 29.99. Was super frustrated until I watched this video. You are the man!
+Jim Long this is one of the best cases for any device that I've seen and that's a great price.
Thank you so much!! The "sickening snap" did it for me. I can't tell you how many times I tried to put my tablet into it's case. Thanks.
You're welcome! It's scary, but a great case. Lol!
I thank you & Samsung should too! Was ready to return! Appreciate the explanation ☺
Thank you very much... I purchased the S2 yesterday & then today picked up the cover today = HAPPY DAYS!!
THANK YOU!!!! This is a very clear explanation for a device which comes with absolutely no instructions.
+Joel Miles I'm glad my video helped!
Really helpful! No bullshit, straight to the point. Highly appreciated!
Thanks a lot, man! I thought the cover wouldn't fit in and I was affraid of breaking the tablet...
You just made my day! Cheers :)
+Helder Silva glad i could help!
this was terrifying! the amount of pressure, not the video. the video was amazing and so helpful. thank you so much!
Thank you! The personnel in the store where I bought the tablet with cover had no idea how to attach the tab to the cover. Now I do!
I'm glad I could help!
Thanks heaps Eric for making it so much easier as I was not game enough to press so hard until listening to your advice. You are a champion. Cheers
Great video! I don't usually have trouble figuring out how to do much of anything, but like you said, it seems like I would break it. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you so much!
You're welcome! Glad my video could help!

Took me a while to figure out, but if you put it on the table, align and press with a bit of weight behind your thumbs, it snaps in just fine.
+Pointing Device you're welcome! Glad I could help clear that up for you.
Thanks for taking the time to help with the Cover! really appreciate it!
Glad I could help out.
I knew this was supposed to be easy. I saw the tabs on the case and knew where they fit. And I had it right. Thanks +Gordon Tani , I'm glad my video helped!
Thank you. Didn't wanna use pressure but this video made it clear what to do.
Glad I could help!
Thanks. I thought that was the procedure but needed reassurance about applying so much pressure!
The initial pressure is crazy!
Brilliant, thanks! I thought I was doing it wrong, but you confirmed I wasn't applying enough pressure; worked like a charm. Thank you again for your help!
No problem!
Thanks, very helpful. You are correct, it appears the force to snap it into place appears to be too hard, but works.
Glad I could help!
many many thanks! your description of "pressing hard and then pressing extra hard" was the trick that I needed to do ☺ you saved my day !
+Bertini007 lol, no problem!
Just bought the S2 and it came with the cover but I couldn't figure out how to attach it. I did see the pegs on the back and the corresponding points on the cover and knew they were key but did not think to press the tablet on to them. Thanks for the directions! They helped.
Glad I could help!
I received this tablet for Christmas and couldn't figure out how to attach the case. Thank you for your video!!!
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the tip. I loved the reference to the Moh's Hardness Scale. I didn't expect that one.
- Linda
Awesome feedback Linda! I appreciate the sub and support. I've got more helpful videos like this coming soon.
Thank you! I was glad you mentioned the pressure, I never would have pushed that hard if you didn't convince me. The noise was scary.
This was so helpful, I felt like there was something really obvious I was missing! Thank you for your work :)
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for making me brave enough to press it to the desired pressure. I always thought I might break it until the sweet sound of fastening CLICK.
Glad I could help you out!
thank you for this vid. Just received the keyboard and was about to return it because I couldn't get the tablet connected to the case. It really took ALL of my strength, but I finally got it! Took a lot of pressure!
Thank you very much for showing us now to do this. A little scary at first but, it snapped right in. Thanks Erick.
