Thanks Ian, great vlog. Luton ‘83 is still a tough memory, it was the start of 25 years of struggle for City but it makes those of us that lived through it appreciate today’s City even more. Looking forward to Wednesday!

Proud Lutonian born and bred, and a regular for well over 20 years from the early 80's but actually a young junior Blue from '76, my first trip to Maine road as a 13 year old with my neighbours, dressed in blue was THAT game. Plus my best mate's brother played for Luton that day in Wayne
Turner. The following 25 years was tough to say the least but It's been an emotional last 15 years ...what a ride.
Love the blues 💙 but LTFC always in my ❤. Keep them up Rob and do the double treble Pep

Twenty-five years ago since Nicky Weaver was the her at Wembley. I always thought that he had the potential to have played for England had he not sustained that injury. Pep would have liked him he was good with his feet from what I remember!

Thunderball. The man with the golden boot and The Treble is not enough. If Ian Flemming wrote about the world's most dashing super team he would have wrote the City story.

I'll never forget that day in 83, sat on the wall 2/3rds down the Kippax, sobbing into my Bovril as David Pleat galloped onto the pitch in that God awful brown suit.
If someone had told me then that we'd be eating at the table with the likes of Real Madrid in the future, I'd have thought that they were mentally I'll.

That goal by Doku today was almost a carbon copy of his first goal for City at West Ham ........ the first half today was dreadful, thanks to Lutons massed defensive shell, and that shot from Haaland would have ended up as a thrown in if it hadn't of hit that Luton defender and gone in ..... but after Kovacic's 2nd half goal the game sprang to life, and it turned out to be a great win for us in the end.

'Clinical' is not a word that I'd use iwhen describing todays performance.
5 goals from 27 shots on goal is NOT clinical.
Wasteful would be a more accurate description, and we simply must put them away on Wednesday evening.

I was a ball boy for city that season, i used to play football for denton west end under 13s, we used to do it with the junior blues of the time.but was not at that particular game. God i cried that day... but today great win and perfect weekend. Bring on Madrid.

Love your channel. Please call out the fans who leave 10 minutes before the full time whistle. Today at least 10,000 fans missed the last 2 goals. It looks absolutely terrible to see all those empty seats. It happens every home game, City fans should be better than that.

Support was poor in the first half - Luton out sung us. In the second half we were much better as the goals went in and we held our own more. We are in a title fight and we need to get behind the boys from the start. Those boys wearing blue need us from minute 1 and they deserve to get that support - what a team.

Cheesy and Prime mutton. Two best city content makers.
I first started watching city in 89 and with a brief uptick under Peter Reid and that season we finished 5th (was it 91?) it was all downhill from there.
First relegation I saw as the infamous 1996 one which is comic through todays lens but just ripped my heart out at the time.
Only got worse from there and remember the big win v Stoke only to go down again (was it 5-2?). Remember the game stopping loads as city fans kept unveiling themselves in the home end and trying to get over to the away end
I don’t get to watch city live much these days as I’ve emigrated, but was lucky enough to see the premier league wins under Mancini and Pellegrini when I was still a season ticket holder.
Now of course I look back at the dark days of cityitis with fond memories.

Pitty loads of people missed the last couple of goals
Enjoyed real away - hope 3-3 was enough to progress to the semi on Wednesday
Foden hatrick would be nice to sweep Bellingham away for his poor football behaviours in the away leg

Great vlog again Ian. Vital win, 3 great points, reducing the GD a little bit in the process. Pressure on those dippers and gooners, they won’t like us coming good again this late in the season. How good a signing has Akanji been? He’s been superb all season but particularly the last 10 games or so, I think he’s been one of our best ever signings, fantastic again today. Roll on Wednesday and Real Madrid. Come on City.

Luton in 1983 was a dark cloudy day in City's milestones. There it can stay for me in our shadow history. Today we walk with a bright Blue moon lighting our darkness and the sun on our backs. Thank you so much for our rise to something better.
As for Luton today it should have been 5 but wind in the brain for one second and you let one in. But we were half full in 2nd gear today and got the points and a goal difference shortening. So it's a huge positive as far as saving players for next week goes and adding confidence to the squad, the club and the fans.
Yet again really intelligent fan comments and a brilliant presentation as always.
It is indeed great to be a Blue.
    On to the next one.
