I went to visit a good friend of mine and well respected member of the green woodworking community Lee Stoffer. Whilst with Lee he kindly took some time out to allow me to record a tutorial showing two techniques for attaching wooden handles to knife blanks
There are many knife blanks available on the market all the way from the mass produced Mora blanks to the higher end woodworking tool blanks from renowned blacksmiths like Nic Westermann
Note that there are countless ways of attaching handles to knife blanks, our endeavour in this video was to show you two techniques using simple tools and equipment a lot of you will have lying around at home or are cheap to buy from your local DIY store
To connect with Lee on Instagram - / stoffercraft
To find out more about the work Lee does - covertcraft.com
To check out the detailed spoon carving tutorial I filmed with Lee - • How To Carve A Spoon -...
As always I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to watch
    Peace
    Zed

When Lee started that first handle the wood and hole ended up funky ... he saved it no problem! That is why working with all these things are considered the craftsmanship of risk - for a brief moment it could have gone sideways, but he saved it easily. Thanks for posting this, on the way to the shop now to try some of this out on a Frost blank.

Great video, I’m working on a handle for a new hook knife I ordered from Miguel in Portugal for a Kuksa class I’m talking soon. How much space could be around the tang when you use the epoxy glue in method? How strong is the Epoxy?

Epoxy is very strong and you want a snug fit around the tang when gluing ~Peace~
