I did a report on the Bose suspension system for a final project when I was in college back in 2005 (for automotive technology). It was a freaking brilliant idea. It had the ability to push down and pull up the suspension using electromagnets. It could also regenerate electricity to power itself from the natural movement of the suspension while going over bumps and dips.

Grew up with and my dad still has a record player in his ‘63 Impala SS. It worked surprisingly well. Mounted upside down, the 45s would be loaded in a stack and drop to play the next one.

There’s actually a happy ending to the Bose system. They’re now being put into the seat of semi trucks so that the drivers can stay comfortable on the road

Being a sound engineering company, hopefully they added something into the seat to make those trucker farts sound excellent.
Bose isn't a good speakers maker. They don't make what sounds good, but what the audience thinks sounds good. If that would apply to cars, it wouldn't make safe cars...

I installed a "toilet" in my car. You had to lift the seat up to reveal it, and it was as bare bones to be legally deemed a toiled. IT WAS NOT TO BE USED. I merely wanted to be able to call my car a private domicile and that was the biggest requirement (Like RVs) I wanted to be able to keep a pistol in my car without a permit. at the time, I felt like it was my states way of profiting off what should be a legal right to protect yourself.

We used to have one of the first Range Rover velars made and the electromagnetic suspension (similar concept of the Bose suspension) was nice and smooth but sucked because being that smooth can actually make you carsick (me and my dad were the only ones who rode in it that didn’t get sick)

My uncle worked on a coffee/tea accessory for cars. You would fill a water tank and use the engine heat to heat up the water. On the car console you had a tap and buttons to select coffe , tea or hot water. He had a prototype in his land cruiser :)
