Thanks, yeah still doing my thing. Glad to see you are back on my channel, really appreciate the support, and glad to know you are back to lego military. Just dont be spending too much ( like me haha)
I think the "Red Ryder" Carbine is a reference to the 1983 movie "A Christmas Story". Yes, Western was pretty popular for kids at the time. Nowadays, it's hard to imagine that even companies like Playmobil had no problem producing American Civil War-themed stuff until the early 2000s.
@@hookybrickshooky9529 Okay, thanks for the reference. I’ll check out that movie. Unfortunately western and trains got out of style with kids nowadays. Something I personally enjoy quite a bit. And lego most likely also will not bring western back anytime soon. And definitely no indians lol Playmobil had some real cool western and civil war stuff! I remember seeing Playmobil western train while back on ebay, that one was going for a really big price tag.
@@Rula2020 I might be wrong but I personally think that the whole "Western"-thing is just too controversial for mainstream companies to touch. So the topic would probably still be very popular with kids and adults alike but LEGO, Playmobil ect. won't produce sets like they did in the past. Also I think that LEGO especially learns the wrong lessons from failures. The "Lone Ranger" sets maybe were a failure for LEGO but that's because the sets were branded after a terrible movie which pretty much bombed at the box office. So in my opinion this only proves that if a movie flops the attached merchandise will most likely flop as well but LEGO took away that "Western" doesn't work. Playmobil has its advantages, but unfortunately the slightly larger scale compared to LEGO makes it a little less attractive.
@hookybrickshooky9529 💯 agree regarding western as most of toy companies’ PR departments are trying hard to keep things pg-13 to avoid any possible controversies and offending someone. personally I think with such approach they are just limited in what they can produce. Off the topic, do you know lego makes amputee friends doll figs named Autumn? I saw a set today at the store so I just had to google it. Times sure has changed. And when it comes to lego lone ranger, although the movie very much over the top action flick, the sets were quite well made. If i was then back at collecting lego I am almost sure I would pick some sets up. At the moment they are just unreasonably overpriced in the aftermarket.
@@Rula2020 Yeah, I know about the friends minidoll Autumn. I'm personally not the target group for such products but on the other hand I also cannot assess what positive such products might do. Most unsuspecting kids will probably point out to their parents that the doll is broken and needs replacement. Parents then can either awkwardly explain what it's all about or they call the LEGO customer service. As for the "Lone Ranger" sets, my wife owns all of them. She is in our household the one for the trains in general and Western trains in particular. I personally think that the sets are great once you get rid of all the Lone Ranger minifigures.
Great haul Rula, I don’t comment on videos often but I hope your doing well. I miss your live streams and hope your able to do some again in the future, as always keep up the fantastic content.
Thanks for commenting and appreciate you reaching out! All is well, hope same with you. There are for sure plans to do more Live brickmania builds on the channel. At the moment it’s just the matter of having it scheduled on here, this or maybe next weekends, hopefully. Have a great week man!
Thanks for the review of your purchases. Rommel's staff car is one that would be perfect for live streaming 👌 I do have that kit alongside the motorcycle combination. My plan for a Normandy MOC. Interesting thoughts on TMC. I'm not in the loop on the politics of minifigure designs being copied although from my own thoughts this is disappointing. BRiCKiZiMO has been my favourite place to purchase Brickmania kits 👌 The sale on at the moment is very handy 👌 Thanks for your video. Stay well and keep safe 🙏
thank you for your kind words and appreciate you watching fellow custom lego collectors video:) I agree Rommel’s staff car is sure a nice set and I knew I had get it once it hit the store, although if I knew there would be such sale on brickizimo I’d probably waited a bit. But agree this one is a good one, especially with the motorcycle escort 👍 I definitely planning on build both of the kits during yt live stream, it just a matter of getting it all scheduled now. Normandy moc sounds really exciting. And there is still quite a number of d-day kits handing on brickizimo. I had my eyes on the waco glider and dday sherman, but need to watch my spending, so will be a pass. Also working on the eastern front moc now, so dday for me is a bit out of my wheel house. Take care!
@Rula2020 Yes, I looked at the DDay Sherman, but went with the Sherman you reviewed yourself, and now I'm just adding some tweaking to the model. More on that soon via the other channel. By the way I love the plank built program bofors gun. That will be a nice display 👌
yes I was lucky to be able to get this set from a fellow brickmania collector who travelled to WWB event. Those sure are nice naval guns I cant wait now to build and display with some US navy sailors.
@Rula2020 to be sure. It is more nuance, and I am not a nuts and bolts girl. To be honest, it was more the ability to improve the model with the add-on pack of tiles, plus the demise of the 3d printed barrel was the cruncher for me. I'm only after one Sherman, and I want that to be the best 👌 👍 I was not taken by the latest Sherman on pre-order. The design is great, but the barrel I was not taken with. Cheers 🍻

As far as TMC is concerned, I've had four orders since March and three of them have arrived so far and one delivery is still on the way... I'm withholding judgment for now, but I'll definitely talk a little about TMC in general in my next haul video. It is very tragic that one of your packages was lost. I really hope that the situation gets resolved. :(
@hookybrickshooky9529 I am not very concerned about the lost package at the moment as there is hope that it will still find its way or I maybe I can work something out with the reseller. However, I am a bit disappointed with TMC and how they run their business. Their product is good for sure. However, on multiple occasions they were rude to their customers, with incidents of release to public personal information, which is concerning. Also with continues unnecessary rivalry with other small business in the industry, including openly copying their product / ideas / commissions. I dont have a bone in this dog fight but just overall dont feel it’s the right business approach and not a good look for a company. Again its just my opinion and I have nothing bad to say about their product
@@Rula2020 I had my fair share of trouble with TMC that is for sure but if it wasn't for your recent complaints I said that TMC is on a promising way... But like I said, I wait for the fourth delivery and then I will go into details.

Once again awesome video my man. The builds are looking incredible, especially loved the train station, that looked insane! The BKM stuff also looks cool, the tower and water truck would definitely fit very nice in you North Africa moc! Also sorry to hear that the package got lost, it's a damn shame (and of course it happened with TMC). I'll be honest here since you asked in the video, I hate TMC, never bought from them, never will. They keep realising same after same after same figures. Like how many SS are you going to make, how many US variations, how many copies of off AB. Absolutely trashy company, with trashy owners I'm not even going to talk about the sruff they've said/done in the recent and past months. Anyways, I don't like their figs anymore. Even though the quality is good, I'd much rather get UB or any other company than those idiots running that company. Anyways, sorry for the rant. Waiting on your livestream! Thanks. Yes, definitely looking forward to build something train related again one of these days, and sure happy lego was able to release this pretty awesome train shed. Also cant complain about bkm indiana jack tower & fuel truck as it was on a very good discount.
