I've owned an M18 impact and drill set for 2 years. As a service plumber these things have had a hard life. I've done countless fresh water and sewer re-pipes with them. The drill has seen thousands of 1 3/8" self feeding holes for water lines and 2 3/8" - 4" holes for drains. Half inch holes in the concrete when my rotary tools were down. I've used my impact for all of my metal drilling, wood screws, lag bolts, maintenance on my personal vehicles, maintenance on tank less/regular water heaters and sewage ejector pumps. These tools are a great investment and this particular set doesn't owe me a thing.
Upgraded from an older 18v kit. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.
humble fyi that last mode on the impact is for self tapping screws. slowly ramps up the speed so it doesnt walk on ya and the slows it way down to set the screw nicely and not over drive it. mainly useful when screwing down sheetmetal screws with the rubber gaskets on them
I got sucked into the Milwaukee hype bullshit and bought a load of M18 fuel gear. The gear is cheap shit, the triggers on all four of my tools often don't work and the torque claims are bollocks. I have gone back to Hilti and on head to head testing in my workshop they piss all over The Milwaukee's.
Thanks for the review. It’s clear you took a lot of time using the tools and I appreciate not only your thoroughness, but also your honesty. So many other reviewers tend to just seem like infomercials. It’s nice to see that your dedication is to us viewers, and not the manufacturers. A giveaway of these would be awesome, but no one could blame you for wanting to keep these. 😁
Absolutely love my M18 impacts, the 1/4" is great for interior stuff and body work. The 3/8" is what gets the most use in my collection, working under the hood it has more then enough power to do just about anything I want it to, and can get the tool onto. Their 1/2" impact, while heavy, works wonderfully for getting lug nuts and crank bolts off. And so far haven't been able to kill them either, which is a major plus. Anyone looking to get into these tools, CPO outlets sells factory refurb's for a good price if you're into that, and of course Home Depot has them new as well. Keep an eye on HD around the holidays, as they have the batteries on sale a lot.
I am a steel framer and picked up the Gen 3 kit and I have to say that its the absolute best impact driver ever made. Truely is most powerful and yet somehow so compact. Paid itself off many times already.
Milwaukee fuel line up is awesome. Got rid of my snap on cordless tools and replaced them with Milwaukee and am so glad I did. The 1/2 drive one key impact smokes anything snap on has by a long shot.
The 4th setting is for self tapping screws and it will tighten all the way up to first impact so that you don’t strip your hole; it’s designed for putting up metal siding.
I bought the impact driver. I do a lot of exhibition work so constantly fixing screws in and out all day long. It’s a real workhorse for carpenters and first fix carpentry. The 5amp hour battery lasted for a couple days between charges as well. Nice informative video.
Ive always likes Milwaukee the electrical company i use to work for ditched all their dewalt power tools in favor of Milwaukee. Also when i was an apprentice i had the little m12 impact and absolutely loved that thing its fallen off 50ft lifts, been soaked in mud pits, used hard everyday, and also has been run over by a work van and still runs strong. 10/10 would buy Milwaukee again.
Share a good website, batterynice.com/, where you can buy power tool batteries and chargers with great performance. They have warehouses in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and they have complete brands (Dewalt, Makita, Ryobi, Milwaukee, Black & Decker, Porter Cable, Worx, Craftsman, Bosch, etc.) Free shipping and not expensive. If you just need to buy batteries, it’s worth checking out
I have this exact set that I use for projects around the house. I see that the impact driver may not be good for lug nuts but where else will it work well on? I would have liked for you to go into more detail of where this impact comes in handy around the auto shop.
I own the fuel m18 1/2 impact.. it’s a beast! I went to torque down bolts I had installed on a piece of heavy machinery- and they were already at spec of 180nm..Milwaukee is always a good choice, but it’s the icing on the cake with this bad larry.
milwaukee is my go to brand when it comes to battery powered tools. at work we have the largest impact driver milwaukee delivers, that thing is heavy AF but it removes any nut or bolt you point it at. we once had to remove a seized lugnut on our rear tractor wheel, it took 5-10 minutes to fully unscrew that nut and the battery was still half full when it finally got it off, RIP threads :')
I've always been a Dewalt Guy. I have been thinking about trying out Milwaukee so Today I'm in the Big Orange Box store and they have these drills and a Sawzall along with the packout box on wheels with ( 2) 5.0ah batteries and the charger for $250.00 half off the price of $500.00. I couldn't resist the deal , so I bought it and came and watched this review. Thanks for the review.
I have the M12 set and LOVE IT. When I’m drilling through thick tile, it does heat up but less than my old B&D 20v. Zero issues with the chuck. Super happy with both for work and home.
I just started a program at my school and we need to supply tools for ourselves. This set would make life so much easier. Also, I use the Humble Mechanic pocket screwdriver from PetrolBox almost every day.
Hey Charles I'm a long time subscriber 1st time Commenting commenting I also just started my 1st job at shop and I could really use a drill. Thanks keep up the great videos.
i really like your videos, iam just a humble diy mechanic that doesen´t have ANY power tools, and this kit could be my answer to so many time consuming jobs. GREETINGS FROM SWEDEN !
Let me share with you a good website, batterynice.com/, where you can buy batteries for power tools with great performance. They have warehouses in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Australia. It is worth visiting
I'm an aerospace engineering student and work in a full scale aircraft structural lab taking apart an F-35. These would make life so much easier! Tough tools for a tough plane!
We use these tools at my job (industrial plumbing). Beat the crap out of them and they almost never miss a beat. Only ever experienced the drill over heating when drilling for most of the day with large hole saws (4" or 5") . Only experienced the Chuck seizing once as well.
i beat the crap out of my first M18 drill put up a nice fight for about 4 years before it let the smoke out... have the M18 brushless now seems pretty solid so far.
Hey Charles! I would love to get a drill and impact! I just moved into an apartment at my college about a month ago. Week one was interesting...someone backing out next to my car in the parking lot ripped the bumper off my car. So instead of fixing the bumper I bought a light weight flywheel and metal slave cylinder for my B6 S4. It has really been a case of ballin on a budget with my story. Originally bought it for just over $2k and been dumping money into it ever since! Pulled the engine and did the timing chain job myself. Love the videos and the quality of your content. It's not over exaggerated and I greatly appreciate that! Keep being the dad your daughter needs! Shout out to one of the great dads! Build cardboard helicopters and make her laugh! Family is really all we got here!
Great review overall! But torque as pound-feet instead of Nm and mass as ounces instead of kg really makes it hard to understand without using a calculator all the time. I would love to see you using metric units, at 03:50 you even used Nm as torque, but then continued with pound-feet. Besides that your video was very informative and concise, good job!
Awesome review! For someone who has been around Audi's since 1999 and still does not have any air or impacts (yeah, what am I thinking?), this would be a great first addition in that category to my toolbox. I typically borrow air tools (have an air compressor) and have been reviewing electric impacts recently, so this review couldnt come at a better time. Pick me, pick me :)
the little light is a GREAT Idea! but it illuminates everything else BUT the bit point!! you can see everything else around the bit, but where you are drilling!
Already have some tools(3/8 stubby impact wrench is on the way) in the m12 line. Would be very glad to have these in m18 line to expand my Milwaukee collection.
I actually just got the m18 600 ft lb 3/8th a few months ago and can happily say, it was worth every penny of its rediculous price tag!! If you haven't reviewed it yet you should!

Great review. I'd like to see more power tool reviews, especially more Milwaukee tools. Definitely a fan of yours and a fan of Milwaukee Power tools. would love to get a kit like this.
I have just saved up enough and brought a brushless angle grinder but I went for a Makita ..I would like to give a impact driver a try but a Milwaukee. They are becoming popular..Great review..Thanks
Great review, as usual. Ty. Never really considered Milwaukee, being a DeWalt guy. The Fuel ID looks really great. I'll try to find a place I can "test drive" one.
Humble! I service and maintain my own cars have found the top end M18 Fuel 1/2 impact wrench the biggest and best tool investment I have ever made. I have a Vauxhall Tigra B (project car) and using that tool I was able to completely strip down the whole worn out front suspension and replace literally everything in about 1.5 hours. It made stripping out track control arms a breeze. This impact wrench is angry. It rips through some big old bolts with ease and frankly, saved a lot of time and some knuckle skin. Before that job I wasn't so sure spending over £400 on an impact wrench was a good idea but now it has given me the confidence to go out and buy classic cars and build some new projects. 3 Year warranty too... I really rate Milwakee's high-end hardcore stuff!
I love my M18 compact drill and impact. I wasn't sure about the impact, but I got the kit with both partially on your recommendation on how much you used the impact. I then realized how many more times I needed to drive fasteners for home and automotive projects versus using the drill. The two Milwaukee tools I would love to have you review would be the 2767-20 high torque impact as an alternative to a pneumatic impact and the M18 Surge hydraulic impact driver (2760-20) as a quieter alternative to the standard Fuel impact driver. Now I have tool envy again and it is time to start saving up to upgrade my cordless drill. My current one has issues when I use it to run an ice auger for ice fishing over the winter.

I would love to use the little impact gun. I borrowed a dewalt impact for a little bit and it really is a nice thing to just run down nuts and bolts really fast. Taking off exhaust with an impact helps a lot too.
Would love these tools Charles. When I was building grain bins these tools were my misiah. The impact and the drill do over heat after heavy use or in 100+ degree heat.

Aaron Eby thank you for the knowledge bro
I'm glad for your comment on slowing impact driver. I had trouble with Philips head?

I have this same kit at work and I LOVE IT! Use the Impact driver every day and also the drill most days. It is incredible and I highly recommend it!
As an electrician, all my power tools are Milwaukee. Hands down the best tools. By the way the fourth setting is for self tapping screws, works great.
I got sucked into the Milwaukee hype bullshit and bought a load of M18 fuel gear. The gear is cheap shit, the triggers on all four of my tools often don't work and the torque claims are bollocks. My milsuckie has lasted 8 years and built many things. Batteries still going strong. No complaints at all.

Man I could use those. Keep me from borrowing everyone else's tools.
mdbeeler oof your the worst! The guy who always borrows everyone’s tools
And not return them ...lol
Definitely need to invest in tools bro. Borrowing sucks
Starting automotive school and these tools would be really useful.
I got this set plus a 1/2 inch impact driver for 400 at home depot it still feel like a really good deal to me. I love them
Milwaukee do make a pretty awesome electric tool. That high torque impact wrench they have is amazing! Thanks for an awesome review!

Who wouldn't want this combo. Top notch kit.
Looked all around to buy this exact set for a while now to get me started with contracting on smaller jobs :)
Just starting off in the industry, I graduate from UTI in July next year; would really appreciate these!
milwaukee is my go to brand when it comes to battery powered tools. at work we have the largest impact driver milwaukee delivers, that thing is heavy AF but it removes any nut or bolt you point it at. we once had to remove a seized lugnut on our rear tractor wheel, it took 5-10 minutes to fully unscrew that nut and the battery was still half full when it finally got it off, RIP threads :')

I’m a fan for sure.
Great Deal
I use these at work and can confirm they are great. It'd be nice to have a set for home as well.
I love my milwaukee tools the best. And I just bought this drills set is perfect .
I have Milwaukees 3/8 impact wrench 55lbft (awesomeness) and a m12 stubby 1/2 impwct driver. Love them they've paid for themselves over and over.
Count me in!!!
Nice review. I’m glad you are giving them away rather than keeping them. Feels a bit less “dirty” that way.
I bought my fist set of milwaukee fuel 2 months ago and they kick ass with the hammer drill and impact driver.
Nice. I just got the M12 Fuel 3/8" impact. I may have to add this for larger jobs.
I have the M12 set and LOVE IT. When I’m drilling through thick tile, it does heat up but less than my old B&D 20v. Zero issues with the chuck. Super happy with both for work and home.
Wife got me this for Xmas. I’m pretty excited.

Impressed by the amazing Review. I personally love using Milwaukee products. They are top-notch when it comes to portable tools.

i beat the crap out of my first M18 drill put up a nice fight for about 4 years before it let the smoke out... have the M18 brushless now seems pretty solid so far.
I did like that you showed it in real world use, not just reading specs.
Humble, love your channel. My DeWalt drill is slipping and would love to switch to these drills!
This wood be a perfect start to the Milwaukee tools I have wanted to get! It's so cool that he's giving these away!
Hey Charles! I would love to get a drill and impact! I just moved into an apartment at my college about a month ago. As a mechanic, I use the M12 1/4" ratchet and drill kit. This would be a great step up to have. I am a fan as well....of you and Milwaukee.
Great review overall! But torque as pound-feet instead of Nm and mass as ounces instead of kg really makes it hard to understand without using a calculator all the time. I would love to add them to my tool collection. They would come in handy.
I could really use both of these Fuel Milwaukee tools. Thanks for the info.
Great job on the comments for the tools ,like the feedbacks ,thanks ,take care

I love the mid torque. It’s a little smaller and lighter. But still great power
I'd love to win them. Keep up the good work. Thanks for giving the "at home mechanic" confidence.

Oh hell yes I would love the set. My old Craftsman just don't cut it anymore.
Great review. I'd like to see more power tool reviews, especially more Milwaukee tools. Definitely a fan of yours and a fan of Milwaukee Power tools. would love to get a kit like this.
Thanks for the video. I have some of the M12s and they work great. I'll use those M18s for sure.
Would love to have these
Great, informative, no frills review. Thanks.
I have just saved up enough and brought a brushless angle grinder but I went for a Makita ..I would like to give a impact driver a try but a Milwaukee. They are becoming popular..Great review..Thanks
I would love to have this combo. Would be so useful around the garage
This would be a great set. I'm still doing everything by hand with my trusty Craftsman ratchet set I bought YEARS ago.
I would love to add these to my tool set.
As a building maintenance technician, I also use the impact driver more than the drill. And heck yeah, I could use those tools! 👍
Great Review! Starting my first year Apprentice in automotive, would love to have these
Great show keep up the good work, from Australia.
Just started a job at a dealership and these would help loads!
These would be great to have at work, (apprentice diesel tech). I had to borrow an impact yesterday to remove and reupholster seat bottoms.
Very impressive, I would love that tool.
Those are some nice drills you've got there
Very nice and honest review. Thanks!
Nice review Charles. Would love to have this set.

3 Year warranty too... I really rate Milwakee's high-end hardcore stuff!
They do look nice, I wouldn't mind having them in my tool cart
I’d love to have that combo kit for work and home!
Nice review 👍
I'm a Milwaukee fan as well. I have a M18 drill and angle grinder at my work and they are just awsome. I would realy like to have some for my self.
Nice drills!
I’m “jazzed up” about that impact driver
Have the M18 1/2" impact driver. Nice tool. Low speed is supposed to be 100 ft lbs but is less and will not tighten lug nuts properly.
DIYer here. weeked warrior working on my car!! would LOVE to have that Milwaukee kit as my first power tools!!
Super interested Charles. I absolutely love your videos dude. I really would appreciate the tools.
HM, should I get 1/4 in or the impact driver m12? Both fuel. The driver would seem more versatile, but the wrench has the stop-till-snug feature.
I like the hex drive impact. It’s more versatile for me
HumbleMechanic Thanks! The Hex is it then.
Great advance tech of a Drill upgrade
Go Team Red, Love Milwaukee!
i got them today for 265.19 brand new. gotta say im hyped to use them
Always looking for new tools. Would look great next to my M18 mid torque gun.
This definitely would help me changing my golf mk3 tdi clutch! See ya next time charles!
Would love to have, they look amazing!
I'm just getting into the game and I have the baby brother m12 impact and it's so crazy how much torque comes out of it I love Milwaukee they are winning my my attention left right and center I love there stuff and hope to collect more and more and more
Those tools are awesome!
I would love to use the little impact gun. I borrowed a dewalt impact for a little bit and it really is a nice thing to just run down nuts and bolts really fast. Taking off exhaust with an impact helps a lot too.
Great review, Im a big fan of Milwaukee tools!
Sweet review, wish i have those...
These drills are awesome its gotta be number 1 use on the when shit breaks
I would love my first Milwaukee tool!
Would love these tools Charles. When I was building grain bins these tools were my misiah. The impact and the drill do over heat after heavy use or in 100+ degree heat.
