Thank you for sharing you are such a wonderful instructor, and for keeping supplies affordable I'm retired and live on a fixed income. I've never made these but they are gorgeous I am going to attempt to make one.
Years ago I found the Kimekomi book for making these with all sorts of beautiful designs. I add a thin layer of polyester batting underneath the fabric which gives it extra dimension plus you don’t have to worry about any markings on the foam showing thru
i know im randomly asking but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the login password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@Everett Tobias i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Gingher has “double curved embroidery and appliqué” 6 inch scissors that are a dream to use on these ornaments. You might want to try them. I love mine! Thanks for this pretty pattern and video!
A suggestion: You could copy the pattern into freezer paper (on the dull side) and press the pattern onto your fabric and then cut. You could make multiple segments at a time (all ‘right sides’ facing up. They can be cut using a small rotary cutter used with a cutting mat (available at Michael’s, Joann’s, Hobby Lobby). The ornaments are beautiful. I may try these next year- I’m still sewing some Christmas napkins gifts !!
My daughter bought for me a set of balls already marked and I am having a hard time cutting the balls. I saw in the tutorial you used an electrical cutter to cut the marked foam ball. Could you please show me which one you used and how much does it cost?
These are so beautiful!! Glad I found your channel. My favorite was the blue and white with the pearls. That's the theme of my mother's Christmas tree. She will definitely love some of these on her tree. Thank you! Merry Christmas! 🎄☃️🦌🤶🎅
I have done a few of the Kimekomi balls and have bought some lightweight blush pink velvet and white velvet. Can you advise me on the best adhesive to use when it comes to laying down your cord in the grooves. Any help will be very much appreciated. I so want to get one of these heated knives as i have hand pain and i'm sure it would make it much easier for me to cut. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Shirley from the UK.
I like Beacon 3 in 1 glue for adding cording to Kimekomi balls. You can even use it in a smaller bottle so you can get a very thin stream to attach your cord. Any kind of multipurpose clear adhesive will work though.
A tip from trial and error - I accidently cut some fabric going the wrong direction (I thought folding would help limit cuts, oops!) So if you need the swirls to go the other way, instead of tilting the ball up, tilt it down. No need to use your non dominant hand 😊
I kept trying! Last time I got a slightly different page that had the downloads, phew! No help needed now! except to pull the 'ingredients' together while under our second lockdown in the uk...
I have been round in circles trying to download the FREE cutting template going from the email link to a web page promoting the ebook and this video. There seems to be no FREE template that is downloadable. Help please...
I have signed up for your mailing list numerous times and haven't gotten access to the free template. Is that still available? I just have not received access to any of the things that it said would become available if I signed up. I checked my spam and added you to my contact list so should be getting them.
Where is the printable tape measured? I downloaded the pattern but can’t find the other anywhere. I did order a lot of of the pre marked balls and other things but would like the tape measured. Blessings, Cathy
First off ... THANKS! I’ve been wanting to learn how to make fabric balls for a while. How do I purchase the pre-lined balls? Also, I didn’t see the link to download the pattern.
Hi Lorrie! Here is the link to get the template: ornamentgirls.com/get/elements-template/ And all the pre-lined balls are here: theornamentgirl.com/market/product-tag/lined-balls/ - though, unfortunately, we are temporarily out of the swirled ones for this pattern (but we hope to have them in about a week or so).
I will have to mark my own🥴 As I live in Australia I’d have to purchase too many balls to make the postage worth it. Love all your ornament designs. While watching you measure you the circumference I thought, “ I’ll glue that to a narrow ribbon “ Thank you for your generosity sharing your beautiful craft 🙏❤️
You do have permission to make and sell finished ornaments. The pattern is copyright protected and you may not sell or distribute the pattern in any way.
I just came across your Beautiful video..Nice project.I would like to ask you where I can purchase that size of scissors you used in this video.Thank you.Merry 🎄 Christmas...
OK. I'm signed up for the emails. How do I sign up for the monthly kit? I see where you start the first of each month to sign up subscribers. Does this include the kit supplies?
I would like to buy your foam balls how do I buy them ? I don’t have a printer or computer so I can’t download the pattern . Can I get a printed pattern from you by mail please . I am disabled have a health problem with hand tremors . So getting any kind of help with stuff is great . I don’t see any links to any supplies .
Where you see the tutorial title, to the right of that there is a little upside down v shape. Click on it and scroll down, you’ll find the links you need there. 🙂
Since your company sells the balls with the groves, maybe you can go a bit further and burn the groves in the ball for us who doesn't have a hot knife. I would be excited to purchase balls that are ready to quilt....thank you for sharing your ideas. HAPPY HOLIDAYS....🦌🎄🌲🎁
I'm so sorry! If you are printing from a mobile device, sometimes that error can happen. You may need to try from a desktop. If you are still having trouble, please send us an email to staciann@theornamentgirl.com and we'll be happy to try and help!
Some people do add batting under the fabric, but you don't need to! If you do, you may want to cut the fabric slightly larger than our template to give yourself enough fabric to get around the batting. Happy Ornament-ing!
Your is very beautiful, but you don’t have to keep going over and over how dangerous the heat knife is, we understand. Thank you for making your supplies affordable, I did try to go on your site and it seems like everything froze up and could not choose, I’ll try later
You talk to much and also your so slow to work ,,,,we get the idea okay so work without explaining to to!! much ,,,,,I love the ornaments,,,,I will make them
I have been making these ornaments since the 70's. I used to make them with my grandmother as a kid, then continued as an adult
I love these swirled fabric covered ornament. Its exquisite. You did an excellent job tucking the fabric pieces into your foam ball !
Thank you for keeping supplies so affordable! As a retiree on a fixed income I can do a craft that I love.

Интересная идея и такой хороший мастер класс.
Вы просто мастер с большой буквы. Браво.
The imperfections of your projects make them perfect and unique. That's the best part of crafting.

@Everett Tobias it worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass!
@Owen Kaden No problem :D
You have no idea how great it is to watch this from a left handed point of view! 🙌🏼 Or maybe you do. 🙃
Yes, I agree! Another lefty here
I too am a lefty and I find some things quite difficult when crafting. So happy to watch you doing things with your left hand.
Hi how are you doing?
Beautiful… I will be making these…. Thank you for your time

Grazie per questo tutorial ! ❤️ Semplice e di effetto
If you have trouble with marks, simply use a dab of White-out. Easy and dries quickly. Thank you for great instructions.

I picked up loads of these balls from a car boot sale for £1,il be trying this later 👍
Oh my gosh. I am left handed and I use my right hand to use scissors. ✂️
I just noticed you do the same.
Lefty Life challenge 😄
You might want to invest in lefty sissors. As a left hand dominant person, you will dull your blades. Same with knives....Who knew?
oh i am so addicted ive only just found you thank you for showing your beautiful work xx
Gorgeous! Anxious to give it a try. Thanks for sharing ❤️

Karie Jo, Merry Christmas to you too! :)
Love it. Need to try this

Thank You so much, you are so gifted. I learned a lot today and I hope I can do it as well as you do. LOL I'm a little nervous.
I have the same blue ring you are wearing!

Quedo miy bonita.donde consiguió el utensilio para hacer las endiduras de la bola?
Hello! Thank you so much, this is the hot knife I like to use: theornamentgirl.com/blog/hot-knife
soo cute and beautiful 😍
I kept trying! Last time I got a slightly different page that had the downloads, phew! No help needed now! except to pull the 'ingredients' together while under our second lockdown in the uk...
I'm glad you got the downloads! Thank you for letting me know, and hope you can find all the supplies you need!
Great video..
I have been round in circles trying to download the FREE cutting template going from the email link to a web page promoting the ebook and this video. There seems to be no FREE template that is downloadable. Help please...
I saw above that you finally got them. I'm sorry you had trouble getting to them!

So bummed you are out of stock on the pre lined balls. Will try to mark my own.
Becky Evans I’m so sorry. We do have more on the way but please let me know how it goes with drawing your own!
I wonder if one of those water soluble cans would work on this cuz then you could just squirted with water and it would disappear
Any idea when the president cut balls will be back in stock?
Where can I find the foam balls at love your videos so much
Where is the printable tape measured? I downloaded the pattern but can’t find the other anywhere. I did order a lot of of the pre marked balls and other things but would like the tape measured. Blessings, Cathy
can you tell me which hot knife you purchased? I'm not seeing any like it.
Will a knife from a wood burning kit work, instead of the hot knife?
Where can I find embellishments? Like the trim, etc.? Having a hard time...thank you..btw I'm hooked!! ❤
Beautiful do you still have the marked balls?I didn't see any on line

@@TheOrnamentGirl thanks for getting back... thank you..
Good!
Forget the ornament...I want the dog!
(I'll console myself with the ornament, though. Good video!)
hahaha thanks!
Love the ornament, but where did you get the large stork scissors?
The woman who taught us how to make these Aga Daniels in Okinawa Japan would have us use a Compas to make the curved lines
I just came across your Beautiful video..Nice project.I would like to ask you where I can purchase that size of scissors you used in this video.Thank you.Merry 🎄 Christmas...
Hi Divine.. I got mine here: www.purlsoho.com/crane-scissors.html - they are a little pricey but really nice!
✨ GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS ✨
When do you anticipate getting the pre-marked balls back in?
Hi Judy, we are HOPING by the beginning of September. I can't promise it but that's what we're hoping for.
@@StaciAnnLowry Will you notify me via email?

I’ve seen some people using a regular Exacto Knife.
You should label the template lefty and righty. 😊

How long does it take to make one complete ornament (once the fabric is all cut)?
You don't need thin foam under?
Some people do add batting under the fabric, but you don't need to! If you do, you may want to cut the fabric slightly larger than our template to give yourself enough fabric to get around the batting. Happy Ornament-ing!
hej super kanał poproszę jednak o częstsze filmy dziękuje xd pozdrawiam
Where can I buy those scissors?
I'm so glad you like them! Unfortunately, the shop I got them from no longer carries them, but you can try searching for 6" crane scissors.
Thank you.
Where can I order your egg shape foam
Your puppy is adorable! What breed is it?
thank you! He is a Portuguese Water Dog.
Is there a pattern for a 4 inch ball?
