    The XLT as correctly said is a balance between style and substance. It’s essentially all you need in a bakkie and with the option packs, you can make it look stylish. I test drove one recently and really enjoyed it, it’s just a pity they’ve become pricey.

      What a balance this is, especially with this 2.0L Bi-Turbo, I expect to see more of these on the road. Eish the economy is currently against people with prices ey! Hope you doing great there on the other side 🙂

    The noise in the back can be the tow hitch nut not being tightened underneath the tow tongue. Heard it on a test drive yesterday. Drove the Tremor...good heavens what a vehicle. Bi-turbo is boss.

    Not really a fan of Ford or bakkies but this XLT model (especially with those wheels) is a fantastic looking product. The fact that VW is involved in the making of the engine does give me a bit of confidence. I'd buy for sure if I could afford it. 👍🏿

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  Год назад +1

      This XLT is honestly all one needs in a bakkie just that we buy them for lifestyle purposes these days hence Raptor is selling so much as it can't do as much as this can as a workhorse. Last I checked Ford developed all the engines on the ones we have here in SA?🤔

    • @lesediseemela9856
      @lesediseemela9856 Год назад +1

      @@sebuwam By saying VW is involved i meant that they use these Ford engines in the Amarok. That gives me confidence in the blue brand. It's a fantastic product Buti Mpho. 🤞🏾

    well, I love how you emphasize on the importance of looking at the nice to haves vs must haves...If you spec the XLT right there's no need to go for the higher up models who will only add the nice to haves. Well I enjoyed the camera work and nice gravel POV as well...Thanks a lot sir and keep up the good work. 🙏🙏🙏

      @sebuwam I remember we always preferred small cars and SUVs because of ride comfort but now bakkies have become our daily giants on the roads because of versatility they offer which is being a family and items carrier and an off-road vehicle when you need to test out the 4x4 settings🔥💯

    Is there a noticeable MAJOR difference between the BiT & SiT in terms off performance? Great review btw

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes, yes and yes. SiT is just too heavy, even when you overtake you need to think about what might come head on but with BiT you hardly worry especially when already on the move. The 10-speed is perfect to the BiT but keeps changing down to fetch some power on lower gears on SiT

    • @cdubz6807
      @cdubz6807 Месяц назад +1

      Drove both bit and sit yesterday. Definite difference. The SiT is perfect for daily use and light adventure....not with heavy load imo...the SiT hunts for gears and power similimar to the older 2.2 AT. The BiT is a beast...yasss it pulls all the way and feels much more nippy and responsive. Will be my choice for a daily + adventure and touring

    On auto trader I saw some wildtraks for under 800k, I would go for one of those even though it is not a 4X4. Another great video by the way.

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  Год назад +2

      Eish but once you get on gravel you realise the importance of 4x4 ey, 4x2 leaves the tail asking for grip mostly, it's okay if you don't like taking chances but 4x4 brings confidence. Looking at the fact that many people don't drive on gravel I would agree with you there.👌🏾

    • @manyuhahulisani2091
      @manyuhahulisani2091 Год назад +2

      @sebuwam The 4x2 scares me i won't lie ...... at home we still have the 3.2 XLT, i tell you that car can effortlessly kick its tail out gravel or wet road if you're to heavy on the throttle. The reason i saw 4x2s are mostly bought its because they cost a bit less than the 4x4 variant

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  Год назад +2

      @@manyuhahulisani2091 Yep, mostly people just know that they won't really need the extra grip but for slippery roads, you can feel that the thing has a happy tail. Literally fights for grip, in the wet? Yoh, even I don't take chances there

    Ford all the way🔥🔥🔥..... I feel like this one is sort of like a scaled down wildtrak, it still looks rugged than the normal XLT💯🔥. If you were to see how menacing they look in your rear view mirror they make it impossible to look away from them, these 4x4s look very beautiful, I'm sure that it handles far much better than the previous gen because the shocks are moved outside the chassis rail rather than built inside👌

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  Год назад +1

      These things are intimidating from the rear view mirror ey😅😅😅. I honestly felt like this is just the exact same as the previous gen Wildtrak in many ways including handling. Maybe in far greater challenges it can show material improvements but so far they felt quite similar. Otherwise, this is good looking and still drives so well👌🏾💯🙂

      @sebuwam I still can't believe they don't make the 3.2L engine anymore, that engine still has power to match up the other competitors as much as it does make the car feel nose-heavy but that was a beefy engine🫢🔥
