Was getting confused for a bit, but made total sense about the hollow in the handle being dictated by which hand you use. I would caution that the hollow in the handle should also be opposite of the hollow grind section of the blade to minimize the chances of a vortex while slashing.

Have you ever used EDM stones , I used to run a Mits EDM carbon sinker machine . The polisher would use these stones , that’s what they used to get the scratch marks from the grinder or carbon eltrodes off fairly quickly. I use 120-1000 stones , then wet/dry sand paper with WD-40 oil , 1/4x1/2x6 inches long , they work great . I like your channel and the DIY projects you do . Keep up the great videos. Toolmakers/ welder are a dieing breed of hard stressful workers . Building small EDC knives is a hobby to me when my heart is working properly. Great knife and your technique has surpassed all your previous efforts. I thought the throwing test would have warped a perfectly good blade with but the flute in one side was enough not only to spin the blade and thus cool it in flight preventing warp but at the same time pin it fast enough to create a round hole. Honestly I expected to see some singing around the hole, maybe I missed seeing that.
Sad your leaving the channel as I also have a super steel that I was about to send to you, it’s cold rolled from square sectioned steel and doesn’t need heat treating but its getting hard to source DownUnder in Australia it’s called 1LirPa.

    Dear Brother Red.
It took me a while to find this build, but I'm so glad I did.
You are indeed one of the world original thinkers... Unrestrained by small mindedness and convention: may I be so bold as to label you "genius".
Your fresh new approach to the creation of blades is inspiring and you willingness to share your secret ways and discoveries heart warming. I thank you.
    You inspire me to reciprocate.
I too have a secret method or two I will share with you and your band of disciples,.
If, during the processes of heat treatment and/or quench your blade should bend... Do not attempt to straighten. Also... bend the tip of the blade by dropping it point first on the ground. You may scoff and laugh but in my experience, this allows a blade an ability that none other will possess, that of being able to cut around corners.
I find that "tip modification" reaches its zenith of affectiveness when one drops the blade suddenly, or better still... hurls it floorward suddenly, unexpectedly and totally without hint of intent, this has the added benefit of "shocking" the "soul" of the blade making it both additionally resilient and mores it feel more "ready for action" in the hand should an emergency present itself.
Once again Brother Red, I thank you.
    Yours in total admiration...
    R
