      So far I am liking it. But I am more interested in some of the features that are only planned later this year. Next video is already scheduled for tomorrow.

    God those assistants are so messy - I got other product that is now 2-3 years old and couldn't even get Home assistant to work while actually breaking the device itself :D Now I need to decide which new to get or Dell PC and install all...

    We have a large site, can i have 2x ihosts on 1 network ?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes, although I am not sure why you would do that. Are you afraid of running into some limits in terms of the devices that can be connected? Two ihost will create two zigbee networks, and the communication between those will not be possible easily. You logic will also be configured in two different place... I only see cons of thie approach at the moment, but not impossible.

      @@csongorvarga thank you for the reply, sorry i should have explained the reason behind this. We have 3 buildings all 3 buildings on one network, buildings connected via a wired network back to router. WiFi access points are by IBiquity 4x access points and currently we have about 40 SONOFF devices connected to various wifi access points. I am on the understanding that the iHost is like a WiFi access point for the Sonoff devices who will need to connect direct to the ihost ? and not via the existing Ibiquiti access points ?

      @@briangardner1641 Actually, that is a good question. I don't know how the direct connection betweek the iHost and the Wifi devices work. Maybe they need to be on the same subnet. I have seen your question in the forum, looking forward to see if we get any response from Sonoff. Maybe you can also mention if the current wifi device are on the same subnet, or the buildings, APs create a different subnet.

    Hi, can the ihost be used with non sonoff zigbee devices?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  11 месяцев назад

      Yes, may not be compatible with all of them, but yes. It will most probably work with devices where Sonoff also have a similar device: like motion sensors, door sensors, temperature sensors, bulbs, etc.

      @csongorvarga Thank your for the update. Been looking for ways to run automations off the cloud. Will give ihost a go soon. Peace
