Thanks for the video, super helpful, but I am having an issue. I followed the steps you showed, synced my devices in the iHost, created a scene, yet when killing the internet connection they are not running. Am I understanding something wrong?
No, that was my understanding as well, I just never tested it. Few years ago I tested how the eWeLink app works without internet connection and I was able to control devices locally. I just assumed iHost does the same... Probably need to clarify with Sonoff.
Good morning, Thanks for the video, but I have a question, and it is the integration into Sonof's IHOST. As I see it, the only way to add it is through a plugin called Paral-Sync. As I understand it with this plugin, what is achieved is to manage the elements associated with the screen that exist, but the screen is transparent to ihost, I cannot see it. I would like to clarify that before buying it, since what I would like is that all the configuration that can be done on the screen through ewelink could be done through ihost, but I get the feeling that the device is not zigbee , If it does not work through a socket, but it always needs the Internet to work. Please let me know if this is the case, thank you.
I am not sure if I can confirm you this. eWeLink app also has a local control mode, if you loose internet connection and you are at home the devices in the eWeLink app still appear online and you can control them locally. I think iHost uses the same capability to control these devices locally. But I never tested this, it is only a huntch. And yes, the settings are still over in the eWeLink app, iHost can only control the devices (turn on/off)
Hi very helpful video, but I need assistance with the settings for the memory and %CPU of the Add-on - the User Guide skips over it. I have the RV1126 DDR4/4G and may add HA and Homebridge. Can you advise?
I have isntalled 3 addons now, and I never changed anything on that screen. I assume you could limit the CPU or the memory usage, but I have never experience any issues, and never felt the need to do that. So just leave them empty.
There are some Tuya Zigbee device in the market. Will it work with ihost? I have purchase one ihost unit , so far it works with sonoff but want to know if it works with Tuya devices . I have tried one Heimann Zigbee Fire alarm and it works fine
And I tried with a Blitzwolf door sensor and that works fine as well. I think as long as you find a similar product what Sonoff sells it will work. I mean buttons, motion sensors, lights, door sensors. But something completely different (like a irrigation valve, or thermostatic valve) would probably not work, because Sonoff did not cater to those special characteristics.

Yes, one scene turn the light on, another scene turns it off. If you want to turn on/off multiple lights are the same time, you can add them into a single scene, but for each time (schedule) a new scene is required.
How about adding Tuya Wifi devices? Don't have any Zigbee devices. I do have several Sonoff wifi devices and a lot of Tuya WIFI enabled devices (switches, light-bulbs etc.). Can these be added also? Do I need a docker component? or can't they be added at all? Haven't really found any info on Tuya wifi integration on the web or seen it done on any video.
Hmmm, interesting question. I think there are some Tuya nodes in Node-Red, so probably using the Node-Red docker an integration can be built. But I am still strugguling to create anything beyond the most basic switch through Node-Red. So I need more time.
@@csongorvarga To make the iHost more versatile (not just another Zigbee hub) and suited for your average Smarthome user, I think Tuya (Wifi) devices should be supported out of the box. Most cheap smarthome Wifi devices are either iTead or Tuya (smartlife) related. But as Tuya is iTead's (sonoff, ewelink) main competitor, I don't think it will be directly supported in their firmware. It will probably become a community solution, so thanks for your effort!
@ddragonfly496 Yes I agree. But it is not easy because ther is so much in Tuya that do not exists in Sonoff. Many different device types with lot of different settings and UI control. I see no point Sonoff developping support for all these where they have no revenue after these hardware.

I have an Nspanel and some other Sonoff sensors, can i use them Locally if i install the Ihost? I understand that first to Sync, and add them i need Internet access, but after i done that, can i just run them on the Local Wifi with no internet, from the Ihost? Thank you
Yes, that is the idea. Just one caveat: still not all products are supported, althrough the list is growing all the time. And the other slight issue is that whatever you do on the iHost is not visible on the eWeLink app. So for example turning scene on/off that is created on the iHost can only be modified at home when you have access to it. But maybe there will be a solution to that as well in the future.
i understand, thank you. Luckily i just need an Nspanel and a Basic r2 to work in this way for a couple of weeks, then i will have full internet connectivity.
Thanks for the video, Seems strange I have identical son-off(MINIR2) smart switches, where some are synced and some are not supported yet. I wonder if its how they are connected to the network in some way.
Does the Ihost support ALL the sonoff devices. Does it include the power metering devices from sonoff ? Will I have still be able to controll devices and change scenes via ewelink when using Ihost ?
It is a mixed bag. Not all devices are support most most of the newer devices are. Power metering is also not consistent, my oldest POW R2 is not showing any consumption data, but the newer POW Elite, and POW CT are. And eWeLink still works independeny from iHost. You can use both to control the devices and you can have sceens on both.
Thank you for this video. The problem I have is only the originally powered wifi devices show up in both the Home and Docker screens, any devices that were powered on after the original devices were detected are not detected at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the ewelink/ewelin-smart-home add on and also clicked the redetect button numerous times, but still only the original devices show up. Any ideas how I can get my other devices to show up on the iHost?
Oh that is good question. I have to try it as well. I think since I synced my devices I got a TX Ultimate which I yet to add to iHost. Let me see how it works.
I ordered two iHosts. The first two days have been very disillusioning. I am not able to install docker containers in 1.5.3. Bevahior is generally strange. Reboot doesn't work. Also pairing Zigbee 3 devices has not been successful yet. If I had only one iHost I would believe in a faulty device. But with two devices...? But how come it works with your devices? Did you install that with 1.5.3 oder before?
I did install 1.5.3 before I added the homebridge docker installation. And it was all good. Which image you wanted to add? Because for me it looks like you can see all these images, but I am not sure if you can install just any... But it is not clear at all.
