Your app is just wonderful! Thank you for making it! I bought it today and painted for hours lol but If I can give a suggestion it would be to have even better ways to paint details because I struggled a bit with that despite the tools that were already in.
Just got the software. Loved it ! For the ambient sounds i would like to hear the squeak of the wood flooring when i walk around. lol. It would be nice to have other environment options too, but on the most important thing, the painting, the software nailed it !
You are on to something very, very special my friend. This is an amazing piece of software - I can only imagine the possibilities from now on! It made me fall in love with oil painting again, and I have a new way of relaxing with all the physical setup of an art studio. Would be great if you can setup a place for users (especially experienced painters) to provide feedback on what would work best for certain types of paintings :)
similar ideas but intended for different audiences. This app vermillion is oil paint based, and more focused on replicating a traditional oil painting experience. Geared a bit more towards experienced painters, but also simple and a great practice tool for beginners and everybody. Painting VR is the other app, its acrylic paint based and is a bit more "fun" and "experimental" in the sense that there are different tools to use (marker, spray can, magnet drill to combine tools). Its less customizable than Vermillion but is a great lab for experimentation, or just regular painting. The setting is in a beautiful dingy warehouse so feels more playful than the soft comfortable and functional art studio of Vermillion. Depending on what style of painting you want to do (oil vs acrylic), or which toolset you prefer (fun & playful vs simple & smooth), or a combination of those, that's how I'd say how to pick. Both fill a similar niche, but are different enough to recommend both.
You are Thomas the creator of this project yes? Do you have considerations for possibly releasing this also on Oculus store for Quest and Rift? My mother --is-- _was_ a painter, but it's been a while now and it seems she's lost her touch and love for art over the last 15 years. She was truly an amazing artist. I have over 10 of her works adorning my walls at home. She owns the Oculus Quest 2 and I think this could possibly reignite her passion for the art again. I feel that she would appreciate being able to paint in a private quiet place, alone to her canvas and paints.
Join the discord server, if you buy the steam version you can request access to the Quest beta version. I filled out a request yesterday and got accepted within 24 hours
Incredible. Look forward to practicing in this, so I'm not spending so much on paints and canvases. What an amazing time to be alive

You never responded. So I am assuming you either don't check RUclips, or you're not interested in my comment.
It is released on Quest 2

My friend, how did you capture that third person view?
