YESSSSS! This is what I've been looking for all along. I always wanted something that reminded me of messing around with corel painter years ago and having the ability to mix colors which tilt brush and quill were never interested in trying. Now I can really paint along with Bob Ross :D This looks awesome man, wishlisted! Maroon bells are looking good.
Looks great! If you don't have it already, I'd love to see an optional flat gray texture for the mixing palette since mixing on a neutral surface is easier, or maybe a transparent texture (like a clear acrylic mixing palette) so you can hold it in front of the painting and see through the mixing palette to compare colors you're mixing on the palette with the ones on the canvas. Keep up the good work! I look forward to giving this a try.
@@vermillionvr Great! Do you have other types of painting surfaces by the way? The traditional fabric canvas texture doesn't really fit the art style I typically try to achieve, so I like smoother surfaces better, like masonite board for example.
Draging the big brush over the clouds like shown in this trailer at 0:16 dont work. it just smears the whole white paint all over and almost mixes with the background.
This is what my retirement looks like, but by then it will be indistinguishable from standing right next to the real Bob Ross, as a live Ai-driven mentor.
I have a problem with colors mixing too easily with paint I've put on the canvas. I will be half a stroke in and the paint on my brush has muddled to a mixture of my intended color and what I'm painting over. How do you get past this in vermillion?
The strength of Vermillion is that you can hold the brush any way you like in three dimensions, just as you would when painting on a real canvas. That doesn't translate to a touch screen device. There are plenty of iPad painting apps available as well!
@@vermillionvr Thank you. I just spoke to my daughter who has Quest 2. She says she doesn't need a PC, the quest itself is the computer. I misunderstood that.
Looks great! I've been waiting for something like this for a while now. Will the game let you export the canvas as a Jpeg or anything like that to save the stuff you make?
I am now 3x more relaxed than I was before watching this. Totally going to get the Bob Ross Simulator.

I’ll rewrite this ad for the Dev!

All great suggestions! I'll give the user a choice of palettes. The mixing tray in front of the canvas already comes in grey.

@@Yngvr It's something I've thought about, and from a technical standpoint it shouldn't be hard to implement. I'll save it on my backlog.
Nice, wishlist clicked!
Thanks for the support!
This looks fantastic. Can’t wait to try it on Quest.
Really excited to play this! It looks great from this trailer!

That looks amazing!
Bob would be proud

Let's hope our pensions won't be virtual by then as well! ;)
@@vermillionvr Pensions? What's that 🥴 /s

Bob Ross VR. :) Amazing.
Are the bristle brushes stamp based (the way most digital painting software does it) or is there some kind of bristle simulation?
Wow!
this is fucking incredible
Will there once be a version for tablets like iPad?

Yes it will! I'll also add adjustable lighting so you can get it just right for printing.
@@Lhorkan oh wow that’s great! Can’t wait to get this. Keep up the good work!
Wow
get Steve Ross to play this.
오큘러스 단독구동으로도 만들어주세요
There will also be a native Quest version, if that is what you are asking.
how wonderful! tell me where to find Quest 2!
