      @@FloraandNote thanks...it probably won't be until next year..we were there in 2018 and loved it...koh phangnan too. We are both kitesurfers.. have you guys tried that? Your first lesson would be a good video!

    Ok, I've just finished watching all your videos. I love your Channel!
    I found your channel because I love Thailand so much, especially the southern part of Thailand, Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui, etc etc the list goes on.
    I miss going there so much! I wish this virus would just go away and we can all travel again!
    I love watching all the islands and beaches in Thailand!
    Keep up the good work! You've got a Sub from me.

    Flora and Note, Lamai looks awesome! Enjoyed the tram experience and the view at the top. Guan Yu is a must-see. Silver Beach is a bit tarnished, but it will turn around when this hysteria ends. My only complaint is that You and Note did not show us whether you both still had 10 toes, after dipping them into the water with those ferocious little fish.

    • @FloraandNote

    We lived in Phuket for 5 years and hardly saw any Thai litter on the beach. What you saw here on Silver Beach is that the rubbish washed up by ocean currents during /after monsoon weather. It's an annual event, but since the restaurants along the coast shut down due to Covid, no one there to clean up the trash. Sadly, it's about the global marine pollution!
    Great video! Just subscribed to your channel!

    • @FloraandNote
      @FloraandNote  3 года назад +1

      Hi there! Thanks for sharing your insight. That makes sense too.. we have been getting monsoon weather and a ferry carrying garbage sank a couple months back too. Hope Samui will start recovering this year. It’ll be nice to see businesses re-opening, people getting jobs back and beaches clean again 🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Great video. I have stayed on the Lamai Beach at The Sea Breeze bungalows on beach road for many years now except this year. Normally the Sunday market is jam-packed with locals and tourists and food and music. I can hardly wait for the Island to open so I can return to my favorite place anywhere!!

    • @FloraandNote
      @FloraandNote  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching 🙏🏻🙏🏻 It has become our favourite place too! None of the markets are busy right now... maybe only Nathon as it is a super local market. We’d love to see the Lamai Sunday market open this year 🤞

    We stayed at Silver Beach a little over a year ago and I was sad to see quite a lot of garbage wash up daily on the shores there. Must have something to do with the currents as I didn’t find that staying elsewhere on the island.

    • @FloraandNote
      @FloraandNote  3 года назад +1

      Ohh that’s interesting! So much work goes into maintaining the public areas especially all the beaches around here.. hope this year brings back more tourists so locals can regain employment and beaches will look clean and pristine again. We have heard that the currents also drag the garbage towards Nathon too.. that’s where we helped go clean up the beach in one of our other videos.

    In Malaysia, the coconut caramel is called Dodol pronounced dough-doll. I personally prefer the pandan over the original because sometimes the original can be a tad too sweet and it's less fragrant compared to the pandan variant. Hope to visit Lamai in the near future. Stay safe you two!

    • @FloraandNote
      @FloraandNote  3 года назад

      Ohh it’s the exact same in Malaysia? Even the shape of it? Pandan is delicious too ... honestly I like both 😋😋😋 stay safe as well 🙏🏻

    Passed by Guan Yu temple when I was in Koh Samui in 2019 but didn't step in. Time flies and the whole world changed because of the pandemic. As a Chinese American who was born and raised in NYC, discrimination against Asians in the States is getting real bad. I will really consider move to a quiet island with really nice people. Hopefully, I can meet my financial goal and retire within 10 years. Keep making great videos. Stay Safe!

    the people who throw garbage in the sea and litter the environment.
