I always thought I was Irish because I'm short, very white, red headed and my last name is Patrick. Turns out I'm not Irish at all. But I'm VERY Scottish.
@Hamish I'm not extremely sure about Irish, I just know I've definitely traced my genealogy to Scotland. Not to mention I literally look like a viking. Bushy red beard and all. And it's nothing to brag about (although I'm perfectly secure about it) but I'm ridiculously hairy in general. Literally never met another person as hairy, especially at my own age. Most who come anywhere close are much older. Due to that most people literally assume I'm twice as old as I am.
I do know I have some Norwegian Sweden and supposedly a whopping 2% Irish in me and I caught the drinking bug early in life but lost it in midlife but I'm stubborn hahaha
When he got to the part about getting your 23andme dna results back and finding out you’re part Irish…well, happened to me earlier this year. Took an AncestryDNA test and found out I’m 21% Irish (and very very Celtic!) My family are Welsh, so I’m 76% Welsh, 21% Irish and 3% English (I did have Scottish too until recently, when it vanished and I got slightly more Welsh and slightly more English). No wonder I’m super pale! 😂😄
The most Irish thing in my family is when my 17 generations back grandparents from France moved to Ireland then their kids moved to the US Also the largest minority group is Hispanic White and non white, they're culturally and linguistically minorities as a whole
YEP! I got my 23 and Me results a couple of weeks ago, and he's right- they also shagged their way into my family tree. Maybe that may have something to do with my long-term desire to go there, and also spend a week in an ancient Irish castle?
My grandparents on both sides tried to tell me i was irish and I thought it was just something every body says. However my dna test said I was 89% Irish so its no joke.
I used to go to a school with a lot of, Mexicans and Native Americans (especially Navajos) and I'd always from them "I have an Irish grandma or Irish grandpa". Yes we've shagged are way into every family tree.
This guy is straight-up funny he is so honest it's funny but when he made his comment about how many Irish people are in Ireland and how many are elsewhere I couldn't help but think of the movie True Romance when Dennis Hopper is explaining to mob Enforcer Christopher Walken that Sicilians were spawned by Black Folk. Super Creative and funny and true
Ok, Where is the full video? Some people use lies and call it sarcasm and think its funny. This guy is so honestly funny, I want to see more of his video.
Ardal O’Hanlon (Ft Dougal McGuire in Father Ted) played a superhero called Thermoman in a tv show in the early 2000’s called My Hero. Closest thing to an Irish superhero we ever had

I am 50% Latina, 49.5% Northern European, and 0.5% Cherokee Indian. I am not sure how much is Irish because I refuse to take a DNA test. I don't want to know all my families secrets for generations, especially when sides like the Cherokee side were forced to deny their heritage to blend in and be American. Haven't even done a DNA test and already believe this to be extremely accurate. My great grandmother was Irish-American and was the last one in the family to have an Irish last name until marriage. Don't know how many generations the Irish side was on my family before integrating with more and more minorities, but my entire family blames the fact that it takes us so long to tan on the Irish side. Think so many people are part Irish because Irish people don't let others tell them who to love. Makes sense.
There is no Ireland in Long Island I never heard of it. Are you saying that you live in Long Island but your family came from Ireland? My grandmother had a brogue and I know for sure when people from Ireland say stuff here in america, sometimes it comes out all funny and jumbled so nobody can understand the word they're sayin
@@heavnnnsent Thank you for your comment! As a NY'er I was making a joke - LI'ers tend to smooth out some of their Rs - so "IRELAND" ends up sounding like "ISLAND" does. My response was to pretend I too was - and so I would say - "Wow, that's great - My family's from Ireland too!" - and wait a second or two for their reaction. I can't drink too much without just wanting to sleep. Like four beers in I'm out, I'm done. I blame them Welsh in my ancestry, as I've the Irish, Scottish, English, German, French, and Swedish ancestry, but none of it seems to be powerful enough to overcome the Welsh in me. I don't get it.
I had to Google the population of Ireland. He's right! Only about 5 million! That's 3 million less than the population of the Chicago metropolitan area.
I was watching Jessica kirson make fun of Jewish people and I decided to look up comedian who makes fun of Irish people and this guy popped up! We didn't have Google when I was young and now I'm going crazy with it! I'm mostly Irish according to 23andMe but I knew that already and I can never tan.... it's burn and peel burn and peel all the way
