The first guy talking made me feel like I was back in grade school being read to at nap time😆😆
Did you fall asleep?
Yea and his ideas are good too
Nice oberservation
Then did practically nothing to the door...lmao... would have rather see the whole door covered in that thin plywood and then stained....
Best voice
Loved the transformation of the first door! AND the bench.
Such lovely wood grain gone for waste with that white paint
I love these Hometalk videos and I get many great ideas from them. My biggest beef with a lot of them is the constant "I went ahead"... You hear this many times in each video.
I know! Same here!
Loved the door remodel!
The door change was brilliant and done very nicely. Good tip. Also Thank you for not speeding up the film. 🎉
the mr. rogers of dyi. very calming. thank you. 😊
Lol yes his voice is so soft..
😂
Both projects are great.
First video was good, but I hated him using white paint over such a beautiful wood grain. Second video was excellent! Very detailed, good camera work, and excellent play by play. I hope they both continue to make more videos. This was a winner from home talk after some mediocre videos. Keep up the quality!👍
He didn't have much of a choice other than to paint the trim he put on, the same as the door, which was already white. Not a fan of the second video. Doors were trimmed out of proportion, making the end-result look botched. She should have trimmed equal parts around the inner trim to keep the trim symmetrical to the edges of the door. Spider Hotel Gap between the front foot panel and the door frame would drive me batshit crazy. Just my opinion.
Brilliant! It would have looked even better if you would have painted the trim around the door to match the door. 🙌
Agreed. I'm sure that came next.
BIG improvement on the esthetics of the doggie door!👍🏼👍🏼
Both are beautiful and simple! Blessings and Peace ❤️✝️
You have done a great job with the door. I love the storage space fantastic idea 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love it!!!...Thank you. 👏 👏 👏
Yes, you could paint both the door and the wall!
Looks great! Nice job and good instruction. I did the same thing to my kitchen cabinets. Turned all of the flat panel doors into shaker style. Sure was a lot less expensive than buying new doors. People who see them don't know they're just a DIY project.
That’s exactly what I was thinking of doing! Can you post a photo?
Impressive! LOVE Hometalk! They have such talented and crafty people sharing their wonderful ideas!
Looks 100% better.
Bob Ross of DIY!!!!!!!
Very cute.
Great tutorials... nice projects too!!
You are the Bob Ross of Wood working lol. Your voice is so soft and so soothing. :) Great job on the door.
You can also buy some small molding and outline the sections for a more 3D effect. And it too is very easy to measure and cut and install. Basically whatever you want to do to make a dull door pop...
Love the projects
Love both of these 💕 great jobs
I want to start woodworking but am still afraid to start. Thank you for demystifying what is involved in taking things into your own hands!!!!
Will you PLEASE PLEASE tell me the name and brand of that beautiful blue-green paint you used? Thank you.
You both did a great job! Thank you!
This guy is like the Bob Ross of wood working.. put a little happy glue here and a just a few little happy brads there!
I must subscribe just to listen!
THANKS I DID IT BUT WITH CONTACT PAPER.....................THANKS
BRAVO!🙏🏼🌹👏🏼🎁
🤗Thanks for some great 💡ideas‼️I'll have to put my own spin on things, of course😜, but definitely appreciate your work‼️ That closet is similar to one that I am planning on changing & I 💕 the end result of what was done‼️
Good idea. But did you realize how many times you said 'go ahead' ? Again good idea!
I can't imagine why you wouldn't use the coat closet at your entryway.
The idea channel.
Holy cow 🐮... awesome 👏 .
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Bravo
Excellent
😊👍
Super smart
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What is "acrost"?
Its a word pronounced by those with a southern accent mixed in with a central California/upper Oregon accent. Very specialized.
Across. Southern speak.
I probably will never use neither but interesting ‼️ Maybe get some ideas from both.😺
super
A design improvement for sure ...BUT now your walls look dirty. Maybe a paint refresh of the walls is an upcoming video???? Cuz what you've just done isn't any visually improved from the the before - eyesore plain door traded for eyesore clan bright white door and dirty looking walls. Just my opinion 😁
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The bright white door makes the walls look dingy and dirty. Are y’all painting the walls and trim?
Go ahead, I went ahead, so go ahead and we’ll go ahead. Go right ahead and I went ahead. Just go ahead. 😅
a Kreg jig??? They are called a Pocket hole Jig.
What if the door is metal? Can’t nail it on
Try construction glue and tape it in place until it dries, maybe?
I was unaware you can get plywood and paint for $12
Says filmed 3 years ago, probably more but…
Drinking game- go ahead and... 🤣
Just what I was thinking- but funner with your drinking game 😄
I am sorry I had to laugh. The way he talked reminded me of Bob Ross. Nice job.
I would not do all this work because I’m bored with a dog door!
Nice, but a lot of work with power tools.
Go ahead…. Lol 😆
A lot of work for it to look pretty much the same
So first we buy 2 sawhorses. Then we strap two 2X4s and a gigantic piece of plywood to the roof of our Prius. Next we need a nail gun and an air compressor. So wait. How much to just buy a different door? 🤨
Don't get the first one. Let take a white door add some pretty wood, then paint it all white again. I was hoping for a cool wood grain barn door look. But nope
Me too
But wat was the purpose of the modification, was the door broken, or you just want to beautify, reinforcement can't be the reason because plywood used was just a quarter inches thick. ?
If the door was ok, then just a coat of paint would be enough.
Door trim doesn't look painted
love your furry hands. Grrrr.....
Plywood is a terrible product. It damages extremely easily and will require replacing (you really can't repair it effectively) in a fairly short amount of time - particularly if it is exposed to moisture of any type.
Actually, the laun plywood is moisture resistant and is perfect for high moisture areas.
It doesn’t look at all nice maybe a good wash down and then paint
Just go ahead...
IMO, it made the door look outdated. Remember, it's just my opinion.
Nice but kinda long
Lol....Somebody doesn't know how to fit hinges.....terrible job.
How many times can you say ‘go ahead’ and do something? Just go it, you don’t need to ‘go ahead’ and do it. Endless. 🙄
Go ahead and count, I think I heard it five times!
@@GoodlyEarth many more than 5-
Second video. Such a waste of space and time. Does look nice but doubt it’s usefulness
My son and wife did this and it was a very pretty entryway. I've wanted to do the same thing but lack her skills.
Is this video for kids at kindergarten what is with this dude's voice he she sorry forgot the pronoun
Go ahead.
