- Now, when it comes to composure, the Denver Nuggets put on a clinic on how to bounce back when the world has written you off. Less than a week ago, the narratives about this series were strikingly different than today.

Jokic embarrassed Minnesota in game 4. Although his numbers weren’t as high as usual, his ability to out maneuver Minnesota’s attempts at defending him shows why he is the best player in the game. If they put Gobert on him he shoots floaters over him, if Edwards tries to defend him he just bullies him in the post, if they double team him he passes out of it. Just a brilliant basketball player. Anyone who thinks SGA deserved the MVP over Jokic is a hater.
His numbers weren't as high as they would have been because he missed 80 percent of the fourth due to foul trouble
SGA vs Jokic isn't even close. SGA may be good but Jokic is an ARTIST.
When Gobert and KAT doubled him twice, he did passes to Gordon that look like matrix glitches.

A lot of credit should be given to Coach Malone. His simple adjustment of having Gordon and Jokic bring the ball up the court (instead of Murray who was smothered in G1 and G2) allowed the Nuggets to get into their offense quicker. It also kept Gordon into the offense and he was absolutely dominant. Something to watch for in G5 is how Minn will attack the ball and if MJP gets his shot going as we know Gordon can't shoot the same in G5 so someone else needs to break through. Should be a great game.
Yeah, murray has been a liability, specially since he was missing way to many shots near the rim, even easy floaters...
@@Srt3D01-db-01 the interior length of Minn has bothered Murray.
I have noticed a lot of unnecessary screens set for him where the primary defender is smaller and after the switch he has a taller/longer defender on him. But he's not blowing by enough and really getting shut down in the lane. Personally (in this series) I'd rather see him running off screens to catch the feed for open shots then switching and dribble drives.

AG has provided so much for the Nuggets this series. So it's astonishing that he's averaged only 2 FTs per game. Doesn't make sense.

They won’t acknowledge the adjustments or the coaching. 5 days ago Twolves were being compared to 1989 Pistons and 1991 Bulls. Now they suck.
The question is if Minnesota folds. I hope not. I haven’t watched the NBA for an easy decade but these teams are fun to watch. I won’t just decide to overlook the BS the NBA has given us in the James/Curry/Durant era, but this is a positive development

Detroit shackled Shaq in '04 and never recovered.
Those Lakers were a complete mess of a team. They had 4 Hall of Fame players but they took turns trying to score while Detroit showed them how a TEAM wins. Hopefully Denver will do the same this season.
