I hope to see some new videos! Even if it these types of videos where you go around Oslo. Maybe tour the different the neighborhoods? My wife’s mor mor was from Grüneløkka and it was nice to visit there when I was in Norway a few years back. But I would like to see other neighborhoods and learn more. Plus other food videos and culture videos plus!!

Hahaha, when you come up from the water that first time 🤣 Cold water is without a doubt my kryptonite 🙈 Love that you got to interact with the people there, and the woman in charge of the place. Really well done and thought trough video mate. Did you have a second camera man there a couple of times or did you set the gimbal to do some of the work for you? Always enjoy these videos. I see the sauna is quite popular here in Bergen as well 🇳🇴
Thanks Thomas! It was a new experience to do such an episode, and I hope to do more. I had a cameraman (aka friend of mine) to help out. When I interviewed Ragna we shot some of the questions twice from different angles. Really makes a nice effect of having several cameras in action. Can't say I love the freezing water, but sure feels good to go into the sauna afterwards :)

Being Norwegian but having Finnish ancestors, I must highlight that the video creator of this should highlight that Sauna in that form comes from Finland 🇫🇮

I had the opportunity to take a dip mid winter where it was all frozen. Best thing i have done since coming to Oslo. Just put on warm clothes afterward because it will hurt. Like a lot.

I’ve been slowly learning Norwegian, and I found it a little funny that you pronounced sauna like I would here in the States, which would annoy a Finn, ha!
But then you pronounced Oslo differently than you did in your driving video from Oslo-Bergen in the T3 :)
I think it’s funny (warming, not sarcastic!) because it’s been mercilessly beat into me that I must change my mind with vowel pronunciation, ha! Forget how I think vowels sound ~ they have a whole new way to sound, haha!

Thanks Steven! My wife is Canadian and I work a lot with Americans so I have to admit that I tend to automatically Americanize my pronunciation. Good observation ;)
I love a sauna, but jumping in the fjord would be too much for my body to adjust if it as cold as you say. Interesting video!!!

Hello Pal, thanks for a great infromative contet yet again. I would like to ask if it is in your knowledge, can you rent a towel here or do you really need 2 towels? If is it possible, can you enter sauna in swimsuit(wet swimsuit) and then just have one towel to sit on? Thank you for your answer.
Hi there! As far as I know you can not rent a towel. Nobody will kick you out if you only bring one towel. The reason they recommend two towels is to have one to sit on, and one to dry yourself with. You can enter the sauna with a (wet) swimsuit, most people do, but of course if you sit on your towel it'll be wet and sweaty.

Can we drink there, brink drinks
If you rent a private sauna you can bring beer, but no liquor. And only drink moderately. In the public saunas no alcohol is allowed

When my girlfriend Judy rolled in the snow with me after a sauna, back in 1975, I instantly she was the girl to marry...and I did a couple of years later :-)
